Beautiful hotel right inside the airport. TSA checkpoint was closed during my entire one night stay. Front desk can be tricky to find upon arrival. Staff was 50/50 as a couple were very nice and hospitable, but others didn’t seem helpful or friendly. Room service food was very overpriced, however it does taste really good. You get what you pay for. I sometimes forgot I was at the airport because of how quiet it was. 3 stars because although I physically checked out with the front desk a day earlier than intended, they still charged me for my entire reservation. Upon receiving the receipt I immediately reached out to the Finance department regarding my billing issues, only to be met with no follow up or solution now 2 days later.

Amazing location! But listen to me now - only if you are flying out on Delta! You'll have to take a shuttle to the other terminal to fly out on almost al the other airlines. Nice pool. Good restaurant and lounge, as well!

Just stayed at the Westin this weekend. The hotel itself is nice, clean, and fairly modern. The room was fine, nothing special, bathroom was clean with updated fixtures. Bed was comfortable but felt a bit old. Water pressure was average and my rain shower head had about 25% of the spouts clogged with scale. The restaurant was good, decent sized menu with prices from around $20 to $50 for entrees. If you're looking for the ultra convenient aspect of staying at an airport hotel you may be disappointed. Unless you're flying Delta it really isn't any more convenient than staying at one of the hotels just off the airport property. DTW is a disjointed group of terminals. If you land on united you'll wait for a shuttle and then take a 10 min ride around the airport to get from Evans Terminal to McNamara Terminal and if you're flying out on anything other than Delta you'll not be able to take advantage of the on-site TSA checkpoint.

Stayed there with my family the weekend of T Swift. The hotel was beautiful and the rooms were comfortable. The food was very good. The service was generally good. However, I was disappointed in several things such as the condition of the furniture in the room (very beat up and outdated); the rooms were not stocked before our first night; the restaurant bar hours were awful...meaning since its located in an airport and you can't easily leave, it would be nice to have the bar and restaurant open the entire day, especially on a Saturday. Additionally, if you don't offer that then at least allow room service to bring cocktails and/or utilize your lobby floor mini grocery store for more than the bare minimum of items. Actually, you have a sign there offering sandwiches but none were available. Thank you Pat

Its all about the location,we had a 14 hour layover so we needed sleep. The hotel is in the airport so no need to walk out! The front desk employees were a bit dry n not friendly. Rooms were clean but small and the bed is comfortable but very small barely fits 2. Restaurant was amazing, try it

What an amazing stay. We wanted to be positioned for an early morning flight to begin our vacation. Well, our vacation started here! The decor an atmosphere is so elegant and relaxing. The dinner was fantastic. The room was spacious and very comfortable. The temperature control was perfect. The service was perfection. Can I say more. The Westin DTW is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! Thank you for welcoming us so well.

I have been a loyal Titanium member with Marriott, and whenever I find myself connecting through DTW or working in Detroit, the Westin Detroit Airport is my top choice. The hotel exudes a modern and inviting atmosphere that always makes me feel at ease. One of the standout features of this hotel is its unbeatable convenience. Being located right at the airport means I can easily access my gate and TSA without the usual stress of commuting from a distant hotel. This alone saves me a lot of time and hassle. The rooms at the Westin Detroit Airport have consistently impressed me with their cleanliness and comfort. It’s reassuring to have a clean and cozy space to relax in after a long flight or a day of work in Detroit. Breakfast is an essential part of my stay, and I appreciate how easy and convenient it is at this hotel. The options are satisfying, and the service is prompt, which sets a positive tone for the rest of the day. The only minor point of improvement I’ve noticed is that the front desk staff could be more welcoming. However, I understand that this might be a matter of personal experience and can vary from visit to visit. Overall, my stays at the Westin Detroit Airport have consistently been great. It’s my go-to choice when I’m in the area, and I highly recommend it to fellow travelers, especially those who value convenience and a modern ambiance.

Stayed at the Westin DTW during a layover - loved it! Super convenient being connected to the airport. Smooth check-in, friendly staff, and the room was spacious and clean. The bed was super comfy, and I slept great despite being close to the airport. Great dining options and nice fitness center too. 5 stars, definitely recommend for a top-notch layover experience in Detroit!

Has to be one of the best airport hotels in North America….. and honestly Europe. Modern classy, beautiful decor and convenient airport access you absolutely can not beat. TSA and delta check in Kiosk inside the hotel. Great gym, pool and other amenities. The only thing this hotel is missing is a lounge which obviously existed at some point on the 8th floor. Bar and restaurant are great all overpriced though but probably what you would expect at an airport hotel. All and in all great Marriott property.

Location convenience can’t be beat. Staff was nice and room was clean. For the price, I expected a bigger/nicer room (the bathroom was so tiny, the door blocked the shower). Big disappointment in that the in-room refrigerators are not useful (basically just a drink cooler; there’s even a label saying they are not okay for perishable food). Even the cheapest hotels nowadays have a mini fridge, so this was quite a surprise to me and is a real issue for people traveling with specific dietary needs or small children who need milk.

If you’re flying out delta the next morning or arriving late, either way highly recommend this hotel attached to the delta terminal. The restaurant has great food. The staff is friendly, and it’s an absolutely stunning hotel attached to the terminal with its own TSA avoiding all the lines to get through security is an added bonus. Can’t say enough great things about this place, and will be staying there again every time I’m in town.

We really enjoyed our stay! Easy to get to from the DTW Mcmanara long term parking garage. The bar and restaurant were really nice. The room was lovely and clean. We had a fantastic view of the runway and incoming planes. We would definitely plan another trip with a stay here to kick off a vacation!

My wife and I were extremely dissatisfied with our recent stay. The staff were all so friendly and professional. However, my dissatisfaction has to do with my room location and how noisy this hotel is. The main central part of the hotel has very hard surfaces made of marble and stone, which carries sound like an old phonograph horn. The doors are heavy with loud door handles and latches that slam like a jail cell. Our room was directly next to a main hallway door that seemed to be used every 10 minutes by loud guests coming from the bar. The bar was also directly under our room, which made it easy to hear the loud birthday party going on until their 12am closing. We booked this room to get the most rest possible before having to get up at 3:30 am for our flight. Considering all this along with the high price of food and drinks makes us wish we just stayed home that night. I don't believe we'll ever stay here again.

Cool clean modern hotel. Nice and quiet. Super convenient, especially with the TSA checkpoint right on premises if you only have carry on luggage. A little strange that half the rooms face the courtyard and don't get any sunlight but perfectly fine for a night or two. Next time will request a room on the outside.

Absolutely love the location for a short overnight! Fabulously quiet despite being in the middle of the airport! The room was a little small but still nice. Gym was a good size with several machines, full set of weights.

Nice rooms and friendly service. Lobby restaurant is a good place for a pre/post flight meal with great service. This hotel is a great option if you have an early morning flight and has the benefit of having a TSA lane to the terminal in the lobby.

Great location if you want to stay near the Detroit airport as there is a security check point located near the hotel lobby- making it super convenient to access the McNamara terminal. Disappointed that they do not have a Club lounge & limited convenience shop with a few beverage options and some light snacks for purchase. The Reflections restaurant located in the hotel- has an adequate dinner menu and good breakfast menu and the staff and service were excellent. Also- there is a 24 hour fitness center, indoor pool and spa available.

This hotel will make you forget that you are at a roaring airport! The soundproofing is divine, along with their cozy beds! I could just chill in their lobby for hours. The Westin makes you wish for a snowstorm! Nuzzle up and get me a room :)

Probably the most comfortable stay I've had in an airport hotel in my life! Also, the food is incredible. The chicken wings rival any favorite wing spot anywhere in the U.S. 10/10 would highly recommend!

It is a real treat to stay at this Westin hotel. It is so convenient to stay here when traveling very early in the morning. We arrived the night before and pulled right up to the hotel luggage drop off area. It is located at the end of the Delta flight drop off/departure spots. You can also have the staff valet park your car inside the parking structure for you. It is an extra bonus. The bar restaurant inside the hotel was ideal for simple dining and great drinks prior to heading to bed since our flight was super early, we did not want to venture out. The staff was very pleasant and engaging, eager to provide good customer service. The rooms are beautiful and very clean. We slept great and were refreshed to hop on our early Delta flight.

I only went to the restaurant... the area was very large and looming look great. I wish it had a few more trees in the atrium. they really need to have a wood fired pizza or something on the menu with that beautiful fireplace. they have. the dining area is a little sterile with need some Greenery.

Stayed at The Westin at The Detroit [Romulus] Metropolitan Airport during a business trip. The hotel was beautiful, as was the room I stayed in which was well-appointed. The elevators gave a gorgeous view of the interior. The hotel is well-equipped with 8 floors of space, including a gym, a restaurant & conference rooms. We also had valet service. Despite being right at the airport, I rarely heard the noise of airplanes taking off & landing. I would stay here again in a heartbeat & highly recommend it for anyone traveling to this area.

This Westin is amazing! My loyalty status was recognized at the front desk and the agent was lovely. I was given an upgraded room and asked if I wanted breakfast or points. The room was spacious and I could make it as cold as I wanted. The bedding was fluffy, crisp and clean and the mattress was very comfortable. The water pressure was excellent and there was a rain shower as well as a hand held sprayer. Breakfast was delicious and fast and the lobby is very fancy. I highly recommend the Westin Detroit Airport Hotel!!

I and my family were stuck in the McNamara Terminal for many hours when everything flooded last Thursday. We went to the Westin and Lynn, one of their employees in the food service convention area, was tremendously helpful. She was super busy but took the time to make sure we had everything we needed. She even came back and checked on us multiple times! We appreciated the Westin's facilities that made us more comfortable and cannot speak highly enough of Lynn's customer support!

Stayed overnight while catching an early morning flight out of DTW. The Westen is an awesome place to stay for this. It is well maintained, clean, and close. The rooms are spacious, the beds are comfy, and the shower is great. I was very surprised how quite it was in the room and could hear no airport noise whatsoever. Another benefit is that you can go thru TSA check in from the hotel. No reflection on the hotel but the mew TSA scanners are slower and a bit clumsy.

2 stars for the great service at the restaurant. Second stay this year (April and October) and both stays resulted in major bedbug bites! They erupt about 3 days post bite. We weren’t certain the first time as we never had bedbug bites. It’s disgusting! I believe they are living under the head of the mattress (under pillows) as all of the bites are behind under arm, back of arm, wrist and scalp. The bathroom (both times) smells strongly of urine. It’s such a disappointment because the location is wonderfully convenient for travel. At almost $300/nt, I expect much better.

Not only is this hotel beautiful, with stunning art pieces and never an empty wall, it’s perfectly made. The lobby is filled with plane designed art, luscious plants throughout every level, I could just stay in the lobby mesmerized all day. The food here is exceptional, truly worth every dollar. Not only amazing but the best service. Every day the servers remember us and we’re extremely polite, even remembering what we ordered and automatically applying our discount the next day. I was treated special every day and felt acknowledged. I’ve stayed in many Marriotts, from the ritz Carlton and the Gaylord to vacation clubs. This is the best hotel ever, do not miss the opportunity to stay here your next flight.

Stayed because it's closest to the airport, flew one way only but impressed with how integrated the hotel is with the airport. Lobby is gorgeous, but figuring out how to get where we wanted in the hotel was interesting because of the layout that my travel brain felt was too complicated. The hotel's restaurant food was way better than expected. Customer service representatives throughout the hotel were very friendly and helpful. Rooms were good overall; the bed was comfortable, loved the rainfall shower head, although my king size room had a smaller bathroom than I expected. Would stay again if I came back.

Very convenient location, especially on a day with many cancellations due to the weather. Geeta at the front desk was very helpful, and when I needed to check out, Lauren through the phone made it very simple. Did not get to use other facilities in the area but the room, but it was truly comfortable. I fell asleep so easily, even though it was so close to the tarmac. I'd go use this hotel again if the need arises.
