I’ve
been
going
to
this
coffee
shop
most
of
my
life
and
today,
as
a
paying
customer
I
was
treated
with
such
disrespect.
I
bought
a
quiche
from
a
next
door
bakery,
and
a
large
coffee
from
bestsellers,
and
sat
outside.
I
had
finished
the
quiche
and
was
just
reading
my
book
with
my
coffee
when
a
young
man
stuck
his
head
out
the
door
and
shouted
that
they
do
NOT
allow
outside
food.
That
it
was
a
health
department
rule.
He
didn’t
say
if
I
could
stay,
but
he
was
so
rude
shouting
that
at
me
that
I
felt
like
I
had
to
leave.
It
was
embarrassing
being
treated
that
way
in
front
of
the
other
staff
and
patrons.
Since
I
was
sitting
outside,
I
thought
it
would
be
okay.
Other
customers
helped
hold
my
dog
as
I
collected
my
things
and
left.
I
totally
understand
if
that’s
a
rule
and
I
genuinely
didn’t
know,
I
would’ve
preferred
if
someone
politely
informed
me
and
let
me
stay.
25
years
of
going
to
this
coffee
shop
is
over
for
me
as
of
today.
