Started walking 5 miles a day again after a long hiatus. Had some uncomfortable foot pain. Stopped in for a new pair of shoes. Got fitted with a pair of Hoka brand and OMG! No foot pain! Feels like walking on pillows. Couldn't be happier. I'm happy to pay a bit more to have such experienced people helping me out. Thanks to the staff person who helped me out. I really appreciate it!

I cannot say enough good about the staff and products. I have foot problems and Matt found two pair of comfortable shoes for me after a few minutes watching me walk. Professional, knowledgeable and friendly. NOT ONLY did he help me with great shoes, he noticed I dropped some cash out of my pocket. After trying to catch us, he went further and mailed the cash to my house address. Don't find that kind of heart these days. Matt- I am a corporate recruiter....if you ever want a career change, give me a call!!

Purchased a pair of running shoes to train for an upcoming race. Shoe was not available in my size at the time of purchase, so the associate suggested I try it out a half size down. When I raised concerns regarding the size, the associate insisted that racing shoes should generally be a half size smaller anyway, but that if I had issues running in them, I would be able to exchange them for the same shoe in my preferred size. She even suggested that I actually run in them rather than just wear them around the house, which I did. Well, the shoes did in fact present issues when wearing them, but when I tried to exchange them for a larger pair, I was told I could not do so because they had been run in and directed to contact the manufacturer. Yeah, overall, pretty terrible customer service and misinformation.

I had the most wonderful experience today at Hanson's. I probably tried on more than a dozen shoes, but the sales clerk was still extremely patient with me and explained everything along the way. I really appreciate her kindness and attention to detail. I will absolutely be returning here for all my shoe purchases! Thank you again so very much!

Had the best experience here shopping for insoles for my running shoes. I was experiencing some pain while running longer distances, and the knowledgeable staff knew right away what my injury was and how to prevent it moving forward. The associate I worked with took his time to help me pick out exactly what I needed, and answered questions I didn’t even know I had. I will be recommending them to everyone! I felt like I was in good hands throughout the whole experience.

Stop in Hanson’s to find a good pair of for hubby. The young lady greeted us, asked what can she help us find today, and shared knowledge on the shoes. When she rang us up, she asked did we have gym membership, which the one membership we have, added a discount.That was awesome! I wish I remember her name.

I love Zappos when I know the exact shoe that has worked for me in the past. But Hansons is amazing. They take the time to figure out your foot, your gait, etc and fit you with the proper shoe. The only thing I don't love is, you can only return for store credit - no cash or credit card returns. But very friendly, knowledgeable people who want to help you get into a well fitting comfortable shoe for your needs.

They used to have a treadmill on which you could run and assess the impact on areas of your feet based on your running style. This could help you buy the right kind of shoes! But they don't have it anymore. Nevertheless, most of the staff is still great, knowledgeable and will help you pick out the right shoes if you mention your requirements and purpose! Have always bought all of my trail running and long distance running shoes from here! They have some good accessories (like knee support, ankle support, gloves, run wear, running socks etc) that can help with your runs too. Recommend this place if you are looking to buy the right set of shoes for your runs!

The service is phenomenal here. The staff member who helped me was SO nice and excellent at providing shoe recommendations. I have a botched gait so she analyzed my walking and picked out shoes that would provide good support for me, and also taught me a method to tie my shoes more snugly since one of my feet is slightly bigger than the other. It’s been here forever, but I like to go in to check out their selection of shoes. I just bought a pair of Asics for 10% off and still wearing a pair of Brooks after two washings. Great little store to compare styles and prices against the big shops like Nordstrom and Gazelle.

Staff took the time to listen and help fit me the right shoe. They used their expertise to get me what I needed. Didn’t try to sell me the more expensive shoe, tried to sell me the right shoe. Won’t buy running shoes anywhere else.

I had a great experience here! I’m just getting back into running and needed help finding the perfect shoe! They examined my gait and recommended a shoe with the support I needed based on how I walked. I was able to walk around in them and take them for a test run on their treadmill. I never felt rushed or pressured to buy anything. They truly care about their customers!! I’ll definitely be returning and would highly recommend!! 10/10!!

This was the hansons in Royal oak Michigan and unlike the hansons in Orion the employees were less than helpful. The store was good sized but the selection of shoes that we were looking for was extremely poor. I would be going back to the Orion store in the future and pass on the Royal oak establishment

Best customer service EVER. So I placed an online order on Thursday night. I made a mistake on the order, 100% my fault. I called them on Friday morning at 9:30 AM. By 1 PM, they had fixed the order AND DELIVERED IT TO MY DOOR! I never use all caps in emails or reviews, but I’ve never seen any customer service better than this.

The staff is helpful and attentive. They did a quick evaluation of my pronation and brought out a few different shoes for me to try on. After a few hundred miles on them, I'm very happy with the shoes I ended up picking from their recommendations. The shoes were also competitively priced even when compared against online shopping.

5/5! A few weeks back I headed into Hanson’s for a pair of sunglasses that they said they had online. Went into the store and to my disappointment they didn’t have them and were out of stock in all stores. It was a Tuesday and I needed them for Saturday. Wednesday, I get a message saying they found the pair and sent it to the location closest to me. They even offered to drop it off at my door! Wonderful customer service! Thank you again! Just another reason to shop local!
