😠 Literally the worst emergency room. Rude intake ladies at the front, rude triage nurse. In the end, they forgot to send in my prescription and they forgot to take down my personal info, such as demographics and insurance before I left and had to call me back to get that from me. The doctor was good,... People often mention care, hospital, staff, doctor, Montrose, blood, nurse, time, people, experience,

Literally the worst emergency room. Rude intake ladies at the front, rude triage nurse. In the end, they forgot to send in my prescription and they forgot to take down my personal info, such as demographics and insurance before I left and had to call me back to get that from me. The doctor was good, but waiting on the nurses to discharge me took about as long as the whole time leading up to that point. During the time I was waiting, I could hear a lot of personal stories and jokes. I understand that people should enjoy where they work and have good times w coworkers, but not so loudly that everyone can hear your personal information and borderline appropriate jokes. This is my only and last time coming to Montrose for emergency care. I had been warned by many people to never go there and instead drive to Delta for their emergency care and I will definitely be doing that for any future needs. I don’t think this place will ever care about how they are perceived. This place has had a bad reputation for at least a decade as far as I’m told. You would think something would change but I doubt that.

    1. They don't provide serious medical care. 2. It's quicker to drive to the GJ Hospital than to get triaged at the MMH ER. 3. They killed my partner's dad a couple years back. More details on #1 below. Visited on account of the symptoms of a stomach bug that's starting to go around bc my partner couldn't keep down any fluids and had a few bleeding ruptures in their throat from puking. It was really bad. Went through triage (great, though the only reason we actually got Emergency Care was because it was past 3am), got them settled into the cot (great), got some fluids hooked up (great), all great things. What REALLY irks me is that the minute the doctor was made aware that we're a smoking household (cannabis, nothing else. Not even alcohol), all critical thought seemed to leave their mind. We were told that my partner's VIOLENT ILLNESS was due to MARIJUANA USE, even though 1. it's never been an issue, 2. she took a fall at the hot springs recently, and those pools are full of microorganisms that could have entered through one of her many scuffs and tears, 3. she has Celiac's, 4. her white blood-cell count was elevated, which is CLASSICALLY INDICATIVE of BACTERIAL OR VIRAL INFECTION. I'm nowhere close to a doctor and even I know that. So, note to any other cannabis users, don't tell these guys you smoke 👍 They'll attribute all of your symptoms to drug use and neglect to give you a proper recovery plan. My partner is still sick (recovering, though. Less puking, still a lot of dry heaving. HUGELY swollen neck and lymphnodes yesterday, and less so today but still swollen. Extreme bodily pain, likely due to immune response) but could probably be better today with antibiotics if her infection is bacterial. We don't know, unfortunately, because there was no testing for pathogens or anything of the sort. Just advice on adding liquids back into her diet and... not using the devil's lettuce anymore. Kind of seriously upsetting that these are the medical professionals we're expected to rely on. I should have brought my partner to Cedar Point's urgent care instead.

My wife was admitted to the hospital after receiving chemo at the cancer clinic with a fever. I would like to thank all the nurses, case managers, nurse practitioners, doctors and all staff that had a part in her care. You were all amazing. She received the best care we ever received from a hospital. You worked tirelessly to make sure she was comfortable and receiving the best drugs for her condition. The collaboration between the doctors, case managers and nursing staff working on her behalf was incredibly. When the type of blood platelets became less available they made arrangements by contacting St Luke's Presbyterian Hospital in Denver. They had no available beds at the time but convinced the hospital to make room for her so she could continue to get the care she needs. They arranged for ambulances to and from the hospital and to be taken by air ambulance and flown to Denver. I was overwhelmed at times but the loving care she received. It was like family. I pray that St Luke's can live up to your standards. Thank You from the bottom of my heart. Sincerely Joseph Ferraro

I don't usually write reviews, but after my experience, I felt the need to give a review. My father had to be taken to the ER while I was here visiting from out of town so this of course was my first and only experience here at Montrose Regional, but certainly not my first visit to a hospital. I was extremely happy with the staff and the doctors and was much more at ease when we had to leave my Dad overnight as I knew he was in good hands. All we encountered were so nice and seemed to genuinely care. They were very accommodating and always willing to answer any questions. The hospital was also clean and even the food was a high five. Our experience here was nothing but positive.

ZERO STARS, you left a patient in pain unattended for hours! Never administrated an IV. I thought at least the night shift would care A LITTLE since they should be newer. I’d rather drive an hour out no matter the pain than experience this poor service.

I went to the hospital for severe abdominal pain, and because I was camping did not look the best. I was made to wait almost 45min and rudely taken back by a nurse who was extremely sarcastic and rude to me. I was treated as if I was drug seeking even after telling the nurse, doctor and medtech that I did not want pain medication and that I only wanted to figure out what was causing the pain. It was only after the medtech found out that I also worked in health care in the emergency services field that the ER doctor and nurse decided to actually treat me like a human being. This hospital should be disgusted with the way they treat people. I am very familiar with dealing with people who are seeking, however you still have to treat people with respect. If I could give less than a star I would. If you need Montrose regional hospital make sure you are dressed to the nines or they will treat you horribly.

I had to go into a emergency surgery at 5pm last night. My first big surgery and from start to finish the nurses and doctors who took care of me were all very comforting and very amazing ppl. Especially Kristin, and her partner in the OR. Then there was Ashley in my room after surgery. And through it of all Dr. K took care of me and made sure to keep my family in the loop and comfort them as well. Thank you all so much.

I am immune compromised I asked er Dr to call my specialist because that's what my specialist wanted to make sure I would get proper care. Well the er Dr refused to call. To me I felt like she didn't care if this is life threatening. I common cold can get me hospitalized so a uti/kidney infection is very serious. Me having blood and bacteria in urine after being on antibiotics for week is very serious but your staff did not listen to my concerns. So don't go to er if you have serious problems save your life and go to junction!

I had to get my blood drawn today for a genetics test. The woman who checked me in I think her tag said Gonzalez was trying to tell me I couldn’t get done because they didn’t have the special person to draw my blood. I was trying to explain to her that anybody could draw it, this was just a simple blood draw. She kept fighting with me over it. This silly interaction made me lose some faith in Montrose Hospital. I’ve never really felt like I’ve had good experiences here, but for me, this interaction makes it seem like Montrose doesn’t train their employees very well. She even had to call to see if they had someone who could draw my blood. That’s what the phlebotomist is for… Honestly I wish Delta Health was doing the genetics tests so I could have gone there. I know Delta would have that “special” person to draw my blood. I do want to say that the phlebotomist Rose was amazing and I am very grateful for her being able to draw my blood.

Not impressed with Montrose Hospital. Billing me for services that are covered by my insurance, If it would have been submitted correctly the first time there would have been no reason to send me a bill for almost 2k.

Well this is for one person. Tiffany Bermudez is a outstanding Doctor/nurse whatever her title. She is the first person to truly listen to the patent and not make assumptions. Sad it took 35 years to find a proper healthcare person. Tiffany if you get a chance to see this A++++ keep being you and you will succeed.

It's inconvenient. They make you check in 45 minutes early for radiology. Admissions is on the 2nd floor because the 1st floor is taken up with ridiculously fancy and over-priced food places, a barista, and things like that. All the corridors are windy to look fancy, but it's just very confusing for anyone who doesn't or can't read the signs. I'm lucky and am able to, but I can't imagine how hard it must be for some of the elderly people with fading eyesight. I much prefer the hospital in Delta.

I am trying to confirm an appointment with radiology for today, as they did not call me to confirm anything.. and I have been on hold for 20 minutes with the radiology department. Obviously they don't value their patients' time or schedules, and seem to be taking advantage of the fact that they're the only hospital in town. Zero motivation to do any better.

Wonderful food in Cafe Grille! Dangerous working conditions for laboratory staff. HIPAA violations galore! Untrained, uneducated, uncertified staff performing testing. No...or, inadequate supervisory caregivers in clinical laboratory.

I had a wonderful experience at Montrose Memorial today, for an endoscopy and colonoscopy appointment. The nurses there that helped me were wonderful. I have had three colonoscopies in my lifetime now and today’s experience was by far the best; the prep was easy to follow, the nurses that attended to me were so lovely and kind, and the other hospital staff from the greeters to the financial services staff were really great. I even was wheeled all the way out to my car (!) Thank you to the GI staff!

Do not come here even if you're dying. Waiting room is now taking 5 hours. Not a single specialist in town. The ER doctor does what he can say you have a gastro problem oh well not a single gastro doctor to consult for the ER. Let's say you have a child with a problem not a single specialist in this area to consult for the ER. If you are dying you are better off driving to Denver.

A recent trip for my family and I ended up with my dad having to come into the ER. They were pretty busy when we got there but they were able to get us triaged and taking care of testing while we waited for a room. The lady, Ashley, that checked us in at the front desk was an absolute doll. She made sure to let us, and everyone else know, they were doing their best to get us all cared for and was very attentive to some of the other people in the waiting room by grabbing ice packs and blankets. I have never seen someone show so much care outside of the nursing and doctor staff. We had Dr.Kevin and he was an absolute pleasure and made sure we knew and understood everything that was going on with my dad and truly treated us like old time friends/family. Our nurse, Laura, was also the sweetest person even though she was very busy and seemingly exhausted but she didn't skip a beat. I wish we had this experience back at home but we will definitely remember our visit to Montrose Hospital. Thank you to the staff we had the pleasure of meeting. You guys rock! My dad is doing fantastic, the altitude just seemed to wanna be tough on him.
