bartaco never fails with their pork belly tacos. They’re perfectly crisp and very flavorful. They have great margaritas and their ordering system works very well and seamlessly. Definitely call ahead to reserve a spot because this plays stays busy but is worth the wait.

The food was good. For what I ordered, the serving sizes were on the smaller side. So, if you are looking to get full, try something esle other than the tacos. Also, first time trying the street corn. Please try it. It was delicious and I was not disappointed as I love corn on the cob. The atmosphere was nice. They have inside and outside seating on the patio. They also, have a bar to make alcoholic beverages. The wait staff is were nice and very knowledgeable of what they have to offer. I had ask for one thing and got something. When I express my concerns, the person took charge, was very apologetic and fixed the issue immediately. He also, gave me something extra for the inconvenience. This now presents me with another opportunity to go back to the restaurant. Great customer service in my book. The establishment is wheelchair ♿️ accessible, as it's on ground level. The bathroom is the same. It was my first time and apart from the tacos sizes, I had a great experience.

Yummy food and drinks. I loved their spicy shrimp tacos the best. Great selection of beers and cocktails. Excellent service and polite staff. I definitely recommend the place and will visit again!

Their roasted duck tacos are my favorite. Seasoned perfectly with a small kick. The fish tacos are also good, but less salt would have been better. The pork tacos are ok too. Now the shrimp tacos are for those who can handle some heat. They are extremely spicy! My tongue was burning and I was in pain after eating them. I don't think I've ever had anything that spicy. They lost a star for that and for giving us this tiny piece of lime for all these tacos. Overall a good place for taco lovers but super packed on Saturdays,so plan accordingly.

Food is consistant and always comes out fast. The staff is very nice and it is beurtiful. It can get very loud at times but there is outdoor seating as well. The food will leave u craving more. Its great to just sit and relax and eat at your own pace. Very easy to rack up a $$ bill. My only complaint is the mondoros or plantains are overcooked as well as the churros. The pineapple express was a very refreshing alcoholic bevrage. And the tacos above my boyfriend ordered for me a cauliflower, mushroom, and chcken tacos. All had unique flavors and very enjoyable

I travel often to Hartford and the first place I stop is Bar Taco. The bowls are delightful. If tacos is what you seek try them all. LoL.

If you are looking for place to eat with your friends...BAR TACO IS THE PLACE TO BE!! The service is incredible and the staff is so friendly. The online system for ordering makes food wait times fast and allows you to order more anytime until you close your tab. The tacos are super tasty with a little spice and the drinks are delicious. I go back here time and time again and will continue to do so. Also get the Bar Taco app and join the waitlist before you go and it'll cut your wait time about 75-100%. Make sure you fill out the survey after your stay for a free taco!!

Delicious tacos! Love the order through phone and pay at the end system! The atmosphere and service is great! Staff were really nice to us! We came here with two toddlers, and they gave the kids coloring books and crayons. We need to come back here.

Unique dining experience with the lack of a waiter. Food was good and atmosphere was definitely geared toward the younger crowd. Reasonably priced. Very very long wait to get in, definitely make a reservation ahead of time.

Came here for my husband’s birthday today we ended up waiting about an hour for our food to come out. Everyone around us had dined and left so when we asked a server how much longer and they said it would be about 15 more minutes. We wait a bit more and after 20 minutes decide to ask another server, the second server told us that kitchen didn’t have the ticket and that they would try rush it out. We let the manager know and he assured us our food wouldn’t take too much longer. Once we got our food and started eating I realized there’s was a sharp piece of oyster shell in my taco, no one at my table ordered any oyster so the cross contamination of food worries me. Other than that the food and drinks were good but I probably won’t be back.

We sat right away and the wait-staff explained how to order using the QR code. They patiently walked us through what to expect with mobile ordering. The app allows you to order multiple times (which we did) and for a credit card to hold and use for our bill. The plantains were sweet and paired well with the dip they have. Then we got three tacos and a rice bowl. The falafel and chorizo tacos were the ones I ordered and they were perfect in every way. For dessert, I ordered the tres leches and it was creamy and a perfect portion. The new ordering app is really nice. I didn't have to explain my order to anyone but yet they were at the ready if I had any questions. I was able to order in my own time without someone coming to check in on us multiple times. And as a bonus, all of the food is reasonably priced! I hadn't been here for quite some time. And it's still the amazing restaurant that it was years ago plus some added benefits. I highly recommend!

During COVID, we had been doing a lot of takeout from bartaco with their taco packs, but visited to dine in last night. We always love their bartaco secret, and this month was a delicious coconut shrimp taco with a special sriracha sauce. I also ordered a few of our favorites - the roasted duck and sesame ribeye tacos, as well as their guac. Delicious as always! The ordering is a bit confusing, and I did miss being waited on as normal, but we were done with our meal in under an hour, so I’ll take it! I’m sure it won’t be long until our next bartaco visit.

Always an absolutely fun place to be in. Food is amazing, late night scene just blows my mind every time at this location. If you get in you will not be disappointed. This is our perennial favorite in West Hartford along with Barcelona.

Really fun food and place to catch up with friends. Really unique tab style ordering system. Went on a Thursday night and had to wait 15 minutes for a table but definitely worth it. The food is fresh and tasty. The servers are nice and friendly! I recommend the chorizo rice bowl, duck tacos, and plantains!

This is my second time here, and food drinks were amazing as usual. The atmosphere is totally chill with a lot of young crowd. Their service is also top-notch. If you're visiting on weekends, there will be a long wait for sure. Highly recommended.

We love bar taco!! I have been going here since I moved to Connecticut a few years back, and kept going (getting take-out) all through Covid. I would describe bar taco as fusion food with west coast flavors. Before I became vegetarian, my go-to was the pork belly, it is insanely flavorful and so good! Now, I love when they have the fried avocado tacos as their secret menu item. When those are not around I get the salad and chips and guac! Their nojito is great as are there cocktails. I find the desserts good but not great, and only have gotten them once each. My only complaint is that I wish they would rotate more tacos! I do not love the cauliflower or mushroom taco (although I love cauliflower and mushrooms in general), and dislike the falafel, so I am crossing my fingers they will replace these sometime soon. It took us months to realize this restaurant was a chain spanning across multiple states, I would never have guessed based on the food quality. If we dine in we prefer to sit on the patio or near the patio when the door is open in the summer and spring, the music inside tends to be too loud for me. HIGHLY recommend trying this place out.

I love this place. Their tacos are SO GOOD and their drinks are superb. I love their guac and chips as well. I highly recommend the chorizo taco - that one is ridiculously good. Get 2 at least - thank me later. I also recommend the "nojito" - mocktail version of a mojito, and wow was it good. The only negative to this place is the QR code online ordering. I always have an issue with my card trying to pay on my phone and end up needing a staff member to come assist. It's fine, but the restaurant is meant to be server-less so they just come out to drop off the food.

My husband and I love bar taco and go often. Jordan is the best worker by far! His service and personality is amazing. He is so helpful and on top of things so quick and we see him putting in so much work! 10/10 we are never disappointed with the food or service. Even on busy nights it is worth the wait!

Excellent atmosphere, the food omg , de Dioses !, riquisimo todo. Everything was delicious, portions are just perfect , you got the option to order just what you want in small portions. Love it ! Great price , We loved it!.

The staff are so kind and thoughtful. It was easy to find something while being mindful of allergies. The tacos are incredible and the tortillas hold up. It’s a fun space with good music without being overwhelming. We will definitely come again!
