Truly the best ranch I have ever enjoyed- and I have experienced MANY ranches! The accommodations, food, horses, scenery on the rides- and most of all-the staff -were pure perfection. We highly recommend Colorado Trails Ranch and plan to visit again next year. My only disappointment? That I had to leave😢

This such a fantastic ranch. The staff is super friendly, and willing to help and accommodate. The cabin we stayed in ("The Birdhouse") was really nice, with western themed furnishings, really soft, comfortable beds, and lots of windows to appreciate the amazing view. Our family of four (2 adults, 2 boys eight and ten), fit very comfortably. The ranch itself is really well kept and clean, I noticed everything was very organized and well maintained. They have very nice buildings, with small shops, and a large lodge where they have internet, and meals. We were only able to stay for one week, but it will be an experience we will never forget. Thank you CTR, you're staff and ranch are top tier.

We stayed at the ranch this summer and had the time of our lives. The staff were amazing, the vibe was authentic and struck the right balance of being relaxing enough to feel like vacation but active enough to feel engaging. I can't say enough good things about the couple who run the ranch, Jeanne and Don, who personally took us on a tour of the Mesa Verde National Park (where Don grew up and was a park ranger) with a homemade picnic and an anthology of knowledge. The food was absolutely incredible and Chef Davis really knows what he's doing. Line dancing lessons were such a joy. It's obvious how much everyone who works there is enjoying themselves and trying to create an intentional experience.

We had a wonderful time visiting the ranch with our family. Our kids enjoyed riding horses, fishing, visiting the petting zoo, swimming & more. The staff is wonderful - friendly & helpful. We especially appreciated the option to stay for less than a week & choose our own activities, which is available in August. Thank you for a great stay!

I just spent a fantastic week at Colorado Trails Ranch with my extended family, and I cannot recommend it enough. The location is beautiful, the food was delicious (and copious), and the staff was fantastic (special thanks to Megan, who had to put up with me more than anyone else). I finished every day both happy and exhausted, as did the rest of my family. The experience was unforgettable.

Friendliest and most honest folks you’ll meet in southwest Colorado. Fantastic family-oriented ranch full of wildlife and activities year-round. If you’re in the Durango/Pagosa Springs area this is the place to stay and play.

I enjoyed a 4-night stay here during a fun group adventure trip. Having a bunch of ladies on a dude ranch is probably not the best idea (hahah!), but the staff (especially Jeanne) were nice and accommodating of all the changes and special requests that came with our large group. We did a lot of activities off the ranch, but we enjoyed horseback riding on the ranch. My horse was Sylvester and he is quite the snacker (hahah!). The trail ride is scenic, all of the horses are so beautiful and well taken care of, and the guides are knowledgeable and patient. The meals we had (lots of breakfast and dinner one night) were delicious and filling. The cabins are cozy, quiet, and offer great porch views. I've never stayed on a ranch before and would 10/10 come back to this one to experience the other on-site activities that are offered. Special shout out to the staff (especially Sean... I think that's his name), for letting us visit with all the animals - horses, dogs, chickens, goats, a turtle, and baby chicks - my favorite! What a great place to unplug and unwind and spend some time in nature. Also, the ranch has a cute store.

There is no better place to bring a family for vacation. Kids were ecstatic with life at this place. Horses were safe and property felt beyond secure.
