Nice little place for sure. There are a ton of places to park in many different areas. There's all kinds of things to do. Hiking trails, sports facilities, playgrounds, picnic area and tables. It's conveniently located right on 6 mile and despite being in a busy area, it has the appeal of a remote location. Definitely recommend for anyone with kids, anyone that enjoys the outdoors or anyone that likes to relax outside.

Almost completely covered by trees so it was cooler inside.the trail than outside. Pretty quiet, got lost but just used maps to get back out 😅

Amazing park with lots to do. I took my 12 month daughter and she was able to do a lot there from crawling and walking. There’s lots of space and all sorts of different toys and swings and play sets. There’s even a huge sand box area. I would highly recommend. There’s some shady areas but not too many. You spend a decent amount of time here so bring water and snacks and sunscreen. I brought a picnic blanket as well since there is lots of areas to play in the grass and run around too.

Had my son's 11th birthday Gel Blaster Battle @ Rotary Park Pavillion 2 and it was terrific. So many activities for all ages. Big brothers refereed the games. Pet friendly. Volleyball, tennis court, baseball diamond, & we brought our own kickball set for extra fun. Parking and restrooms was conveniently close and very tidy. Staff was friendly and available when needed. 5 Stars for sure.

This is a very active park with lots of space and a variety of activities to choose from. Ya, sometimes people have a bad day and are rude, and don't keep their dogs on leash, or polute the fresh air with their various forms of smoking/vaping. Sometimes fans and coaches lose their cool and ruin it for the players. For the most part it's a good environment. The evenings get pretty busy with ballgames and the weekends are packed with family parties. The days are full of people enjoying the fresh air and moving their bodies to stay healthy. The trails are nice and pretty well marked but real easy to navigate. I've been coming here since the 70' and witnessed its transformation. The facilities are decent and daily maintained.

This is a beautiful park. The play structure is great, the sandbox full of toys and the path to walk around is not too big.

I spent a couple of hours on a nice autumn afternoon walking the trails. Traffic on the main trails was steady but not crowded and everyone was friendly. The Eagle Scout trails were for generally more sure footed and adventurous folks but had some lovely scenery that felt more truly isolated.

We love this space! There’s great trails (though take note of directions because everyone gets lost their first time or two). We often watch baseball games that are going on and it’s one of the better playgrounds we’ve been to. Very dog friendly.

Went there for a 'Pre-wedding' photo session with other family members of engaged couple. Park was very well attended: good idea to reserve a shelter if you think you'll want one! BTW, there is a fairly nice ''walking path” at the far end of the park. Has been over a year, but when we last used it you could wander through a wooded area & along a creek - made for a reasonable 'testing ground' for backpacks / hiking gear.

We rented a pavilion for our sisters' 50th birthday and we had a blast. The park's staff was very helpful and continually checked on us to see if they were needed. Great day and perfect weather.

Wonderful place to walk my two poodles. Lots of owners walking their dogs, also. Been going there for years and years and I enjoy seeing the continous improvements. Livonia really knows what they're doing. I feel very safe and comfortable visiting there. Very clean park.

Great trails to walk in the woods

  • 5/5 Blane S. 1 year ago on Google
Beautiful park! Very nice play sets and a ton of space to do activities on the grass. My toddler daughter absolutely loves the sand pit. Apparently people donate toys to leave there, so a great community aspect. As others have said, there are older kids here that like to play tag on the play sets. This makes it tough to have little kids on them, but still doable. Will definitely make this a recurring stop.

This is a huge park with tons of playgrounds with everything a kid could dream of. The picnic areas are also great

Went for a siblings graduation and enjoyed it. There's a lot you can do like volleyball and there's a few play grounds (one has been updated quite recently) and there's tennis courts. The people that worked there seemed friendly. The only bad thing I have to say about this place is that there's only one (for each gender) bathroom that's kinda small and it was a far walk to get to it. But otherwise I would recommend this place.

I have a kids park literally right around my corner block but I always bring my kids here instead. The park has so much the kids can do including a sand box. There is always other kids there playing so your kids won't get bored. I rented a pavilion for my daughter's bday this year and it was great. There is always someone there in their office to help with concerns.

Nice walk path and play area for kids they keep it clean. It has tennis and pickle ball courts. Would be 5 stars if they opened the restrooms in building but they have plenty of Johnny on the spots.

  • 5/5 David T. 9 months ago on Google
Very nice facility. It has six tennis courts. I use them frequently - they are in very good condition. If there is wind screen installed, that will be even better.

The trails here were super fun! There was a bit of mud (well, it was pretty flooded on one of the trails), but all the rest of them were dry so just watch where you're going if you go after it rains a lot! I really loved the trails here, you couldn't tell you were in the city at all. They also had playgrounds, pavilions, and baseball fields. Lots of parking.

No need to worry about seeing the dogmen when inside these trails or let alone any deer because I haven't seen any. These trails are beautiful and there are many squirrels throughout the trails that it makes up for a serene experience. However be cautious because if you forget where you are, you are susceptible to getting lost rather fast. Once you cross the little steps over the river in the back it is easy to get lost. The park is like the Bermuda triangle in a way because I got lost and I was thinking I was heading into the exit out of the woods, but instead I was going further and further the opposite direction, rather than the way I came. Always make sure you find the river and cross back over that then you'll know your heading back out the way you came in. Overall a peaceful place for escapism and fresh air.

Love it here, walking path is nice but the real beauty is on the paths in the woods

Great park. Ball fields, tennis courts, multiple play structures, walking paths, indoor bathrooms. Like most all Livonia parks it is clean and we'll kept.

  • 5/5 Raghav R. 3 years ago on Google
You'll get lost in the trails. Carry a compass and go south if lost. If you come to a stream, turn back, it leads to private property. Not everyone respects the "no dogs in the fenced fields" and "no pets off leash" rules. Most people are friendly and cordial. Beautiful park with plenty of space to walk your dog/ Jog etc.

Well kept. Lots of things to do. 2 children's play area, baseball fields, Tennis courts, Volleyball nets. Cover Shelters for rent. 3 sets of parking lots. Walking trail. Plenty of picnic tables and open spaces. Perfect for social distancing in a park. My suggestion is to still wear a mask but not mandatory.

I love it. We had our family reunion there a couple years ago. We rented an area with picnic tables and a fireplace and a bathroom right there. I believe it was for 150 people. Hope to do it again some year soon. And my daughters and grandchildren just went there just about a week ago and loved there great new play area for the kids. The double swings are amazing!!

Easy to find. This park is in a 1 mile square between 6 and 7 Mile and Merriman and Farmington Roads. The entrance to the trails is easy to find. It starts out great; the trails are wide, and it is very pretty. But the trails are not well marked, there are no signs. The only map is at the very beginning and very useless. Some tress have colored blotches painted on them, but these are irregular the farther you walk. There are many plank bridges placed by Eagle Scouts. At first the trails are dark soil but soon change to very sandy ground. There is a creek you can walk along. It’s a branch of the Middle Rouge, I think the Tarabusi Creek. Hoards of mosquitos live here. I have over 20 itchy burning bites. My fault, I should have worn bug spray, if I had been planning to go. Who knew such sandy soil existed in the middle of Livonia? Then you realize you are lost, walking in circles, and and the mosquitos are feasting, having invited all their friends. A red tailed hawk was following, probably to catch the squirrels and chipmunks I was disturbing. A few times the trail ended in backyards. Obviously, I did finally escape. Later I heard this park is notorious for people being lost. This is a pretty trail. Bring water. Wear gallons of bug spray. Eagle Scout, your next project should provide better trail markers and directions. Maybe maps along the trails, telling us where we are?

This is a nice park that has a lot of activities and a very nice play structure. The pavilions are well kept and clean. Plenty of hiking trails and a nice bike path. The neighborhood surrounding the park is quiet as well. It is a great place for children. And dogs.

Love this park and the city 💙 of livonia

  • 1/5 Connie A. 3 years ago on Google
Took my small grandchildren there to play. It was a disaster. The amount of older children there playing rough, knocking the smaller children down, pushing the younger kids down, running up the slides, interferring with the kids who actually know how to slide is over whelming. We finally left. Not very little kid friendly.

Very cute park. With all the pavilions it is super busy though and the swings are not great for little ones (even the one with the harness) so if trying to play with a one year old I would go elsewhere.

  • 2/5 GrandAssassin20 3 years ago on Google
Nature paths were completely covered and there was trash everywhere. The paths are barely marked and what markers are there don't even make sense or match any of the path colors. The map is from 2013 and is so outdated you can't even follow it. Believe me, I tried. I had to request a recent map and the difference was mind blowing to say the least. There was dog waste all over. It was just really not kept up very well.
