Literally perfection in every way. The staff, the drinks and the vibe of the place. It's so cozy and actually is designed to look like a house. Great spot for coffee and they also have board games and books to enjoy with your drinks.

Possibly my favorite coffee house ever. Beautiful decor and vibe, tons of comfy seating and study space, and most importantly great coffee! I ordered the Fall Latte and it was delicious. Ok’ing back tomorrow for my birthday treat. 🤩

Beautiful coffee shop in Downtown Northville. I am so happy I found this place on my little venture, coffee was so good I came back again the next day (it’s an hour drive for me!!) Cozy atmosphere, tables are set out nicely, plenty of seating but they keep it spacious still. I haven’t seen such an intriguing concept of building a coffee shop inside a one story house before. They roast their own coffee and make their own house syrups. Currently having “rosalie latte” as their special drink, I also ordered a cafe miel, both were 10/10 👌🏻pairs well with a nice warm croissant 🥐 Will definitely be back! Also, owner seems to be a fan of C.S Lewis which tells a lot about their passion and foundation of their business. Highly recommend! 🌟🌟🌟

Not a huge fan of coffee, but I am a huge fan of The Red Dot Coffee Company. I dig the interior's aesthetic and appreciate that there are lot of different seating options. The croissants and fruit smoothies are DELICIOUS. All of the employees are top-notch, but it's the best when I see Shannon working because she is so helpful and fun to talk to.

Very cute local coffee shop! I got a chocolate croissant and a Cafe Miel. Each latte came out with this cute design on top, expertly poured by the barista. The staff was super friendly and the ambience inside was very welcoming. There is plenty of space to sit inside or outside. Only downside is they do not have soy milk, but oat milk is available for an extra dollar. They also have a rewards program.

A friend of mine and I stopped by here a couple days ago to catch up over a coffee. I ordered a cafe miel oatmilk latte and my guest ordered an iced vanilla oatmilk latte. We also tried three macarons which were chocolate, strawberry and pistachio. The lattes were great! Mine was prepared with latte art which I appreciated. Very smooth, not too foamy and very flavorful! My guest had good things to say as well. The macarons were OK, a little stale, not too flavorful but not bad. The service was mediocre, nothing special. Took our order and called our name, that’s all. The atmosphere is adorable, it’s very cozy and warming. It’s like a little house with comfortable furniture, a fireplace, great company, etc. I’d come back for sure!

Hands down my favorite coffee shop in metro Detroit! I am here so often that most of the staff knows my name! Even though that's a bit embarrassing on my end, it shows they treat customers with tons of respect. I've never had an issue with my order, and every drink I've ordered from here is delicious! It's also a good place to study when its not busy, because it can be a bit noisy when its busy.

Nice atmosphere and great coffee. I do wish they had a few more food options. Staff are friendly and make great suggestions. I like the ability to use Apple Pay and the rewards system. Cafe miel was delicious.

Great atmosphere, plenty of seating, and good coffee. An excellent place to work or study from as well. I also appreciate the fact that they do not have a drive-through, which adds to the ambience of this being a more traditional downtown style coffee shop.

Thanks for AWESOME local brew! So much better than the “usual chain coffee joints”! This place is special though; it has a neat mixture between modern and traditional atmospheres to create a pleasant experience. Not only is the space great, the coffee is excellent! I recommend their pour over! The staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient! The space is well maintained, clean, and spacious. Also the seating offers an array of options ranging from couches to table & chair configurations. In addition, there are varied rooms, so more than likely, you can find a more secluded space if desired. There is a dedicated parking lot which seems appropriately sized. I’m guessing if you can’t find a spot, it’s because they so busy inside! This means they know what their doing AND JUST BE PATIENT, so you can enjoy yours when you get in.

We were looking for a local coffee shop after visiting a local pumpkin patch and came across the Red Dot Coffee Company. So glad we came here! The fall latte and dirty chais were delicious, dare I say, better than Starbucks! I wish I could visit this place regularly, however, I cannot. If you live nearby, add this to your list of places to frequent in Northville!

Really friendly staff, great coffee and lovely cakes too! It was very busy inside but luckily it was warm and sunny so we could sit on the veranda outside.

This is the best place to get coffee in the area. It's welcoming, the interior is clean and bright and modern. But the coffee is... amazing. I have tried many different kinds of coffees here because they always have something new. Each has been my favorite cup. The employees are great and will give you the details on their offerings if you have any questions or are new to coffee. Highly recommend making this your go to coffee shop.

Amazing! Loved the Chia latte, of course paired it with a shot of espresso! Not only did it taste delicious, the design on top with the frothed milk was so adorable. The atmosphere was cozy, comfortable, and warm. Would recommend Red Dot to any body!

Really enjoyed the oat milk cappuccino and the ham and Asiago Croissant. The atmosphere was very welcoming and laid back as well. This is definitely one of my favorite coffee spots I've come across in the Detroit metro.

Amazing nitro cold brew on tap. Espresso is top notch and cared for. Meaning, they are dialing it in and making sure to hit all the notes. Great atmosphere. Maybe in my top 3 cafes for the Detroit area... No it's my number 1 due to ambiance, barista knowledge and quality!

It was so cute and cozy here. Great selection for vegan lattes. I wish they had some more food options but the tomato basil croissant was very yummy. My husband had a nitro coffee float! He loved it. I'm in a wheelchair and the bathroom is very accessible as is the entire place with plenty of seating options inside and out. The ramp is in the back with 2 handicap parking spots with room for your ramp. So many good things to say. Perfect for sunny or rainy days and inspiring conversation. There's also a cute letter writing station and they will mail your letter for you - stamp included! ❤️

Great coffee, extremely smooth with a beautiful roast. The chocolate croissant was warm, fresh, and perfect. I look forward to going back and getting a nitro coffee instead of just a sample.

I went back and forth with this review because I really love the atmosphere and ambiance of the place and I find their decor mellow and inviting. Some of their best offerings are definitely their chai and their affagatos. I do feel as though their espresso based drinks are a bit weak in my opinion but good overall. As i said before their atmosphere is inviting as well. Now to a list of why i have this place three stars. Seating: I know that you guys are a popular cafe but expanding seating is a must. Cafes like Tuscan and even Starbucks offer a wide selection of indoor and outdoor seating that can most times accommodate a large capacity of rotating people. Their is almost never enough seating when I come here, I feel like a car in a full parking lot going round and round till I find a person finally leaving their spot and make a beeline. Another thing is the Baristas temperances, I have consistently had a couple baristas be rude in particular to me simply for asking questions about the coffee or pastries, I just find that they become easily annoyed and I guess i’m sorry if i want to know the price of a pastry, my b. Also, Prices are a bit steep to justify your end product. And finally, your hours, this is the most frustrating part about this place, I don’t really understand how you can only be open till 5. I do get that staff may be fewer than wanted but 8-5, most people are already at work by 8 and not leaving work till 5. I mean it just doesn’t make sense to me when other cafes in Northville offer times that keep them open to at least 7 and They open at 6 or 7 am. I will say overall it adds a nice touch to northvilles overall ambiance but somehow makes me like it less everytime i go :(.

  • 5/5 Faheem D. 5 years ago on Google
This is one of the best looking coffee shop setups I’ve ever seen. It’s an old Victorian type home that’s been converted. There are three different separate areas for seating and each different in their own way. Great place to chat, go on a date, get work done, or simply enjoy a relaxing cup of coffee. Just remember that seating can be an issue during peak hours. Their espresso drinks are top quality and the coffee brew itself is very smooth. Try the cortado if you’re into neat espresso. You can also buy their beans and I would say it’s totally worth the price. I’ve tried pour over and French press with their beans at home. It’s got a very bold and smooth taste at the same and you’ll get a lot of different tones with each sip. Worth the visit for sure! This place is my sanctuary in the middle of a busy day or when I need an area to focus on something critical or important that’s due soon.

The Red Dot Coffee Company is a beautiful place to order a delightful cup of coffee. It is an ideal place to chat with a friend or take time to journal thoughts down. Red Dot has a special place in my heart with plenty of memories, of friends, conversations, journaling and cups of delicious coffee. Thank you to all the baristas who have made the coffee and atmosphere positive and light.

I can tell this is a town hotspot, it was very busy inside with the locals enjoying all the lovely seats. The seats are in all varieties, tall tables,, long couches in all the nooks in the old home. This is such an adorable place of a refurbished older home, alot of love and care went into designing the red dot coffee company.

Beautifully decorated with a friendly, comfortable atmosphere. Great place to enjoy a coffee on the front or back porch as well as inside! You will always get a warm welcome at The Red Dot. (OH, their dirty spiced chai tastes like Christmas in a cup!)

Finally made it here to try the place out! Was delighted to see they make Affogato’s and made sure to try it. Very delicious tasting and made with good ice cream! Bathrooms have awesome doors and are well taken care of. I love the sink faucet with the separate handles! Plenty of cozy places and open places for studying, and that’s why it’s really busy in the weekend! Will have to come back to try another coffee and some of the snacks offered.

Lovely coffee shop in an old converted house. Their lattes are great and all of there syrups are homemade. The caramel latte and Miel are great! Everything seems to be based on precision (weighing syrups for each drink) which makes everything nice and consistent. They offer a loyalty program which is a great way to keep customers coming back.

Loved this coffee place! Felt like I was on a nice vacation for a moment when I stepped in here. Nice designs, spacious good coffee, and friendly staff. They did mess up my order but apologized and offered the new correct one for free. It was packed even during weekday afternoon so will have to expect some lively noise while enjoying your coffee ;)

I recently discovered this adorable coffee spot called "The Red Dot" and it's an absolute gem for all the cozy vibes and chill moments. If you're looking for a place that feels like home and offers a great selection of board games, this is it! The ambience is amazing. It's like stepping into your cool friend's living room, complete with comfy couches/chairs, soft lighting, and a laid-back atmosphere. The cute and homely decor instantly puts a smile on your face. But here's the best part: they have an epic collection of board games to keep you entertained. From classics like Monopoly and Scrabble to newer favorites like Catan and UNO, they've got something for everyone. It's the perfect way to bond with friends over a cup of joe. Speaking of which, the coffee here is legit. Whether you're a fan of lattes, cappuccinos, or just a good ol' black coffee, they've got you covered. The baristas are friendly and skilled, ensuring that your coffee game is on point. What I love about Red Dot is that it's also a great spot to work or read a book. The cozy atmosphere and quiet corners make it the ideal place to focus and get stuff done. Plus, the aroma of freshly brewed coffee adds to the overall ambiance. Grab a cup of coffee, dive into a board game, or get lost in a book – the choice is yours. You're guaranteed to have a rad time!

I frequent many local coffee shops and the Red Dot continues to be one of my favorities. They have the best caramel latte i have tasted and all their syrups are homemade. Their latte air is superb : ) This is an excellent local coffee shop to visit and support with quality ingredients, in a welcoming environment.

Cutest café I’ve ever been to 😍 not only that but their coffee is actually good and their service is exceptional. I’m a nursing student who is currently in rotation at Ascension Novi and was looking for a place to study that was near by and I’m so glad I came across this gem, def will be back again! 😊

Had a croissant and cortado. Cool little place in the historic area. Quite busy too. Coffee is smooth and not too strong. Quite a good blend.

Stopped by on a fall afternoon. Cafe Miel w/ oatmilk is the way to go - so smooth and not overly sweet. The baristas were so kind and explaining sweet levels to my father - who tends to like sweeter drinks compared to me. Tons of seating to hang with friends or work. If I was from the area - I’d be there very week!

Red Dot is a refreshing, rejuvenating coffee spot that I hope to return to, even though I live far away. The decorations are thought provoking, the staff is very welcoming, the seating is comfy. It's a homey place, being in an old, beautiful house. Non dairy options available. Collect reward points for a free drink. Simple, easy to read menu. I tried the cortado and cappuccino, both delicious. Check it out sometime! Cheers

I have had a great experience each time I've been there. The place is always packed, and for good reason. The cappuccinos are consistently delicious and aesthetically pleasing. I also like their almond croissant. Free wifi, and ample seating. The interior is modern and clean. The staff are kind, professional, and knowledgeable. They have a few board games and the like as well, which I've seen a couple people use (should definitely add Risk--just saying). I've seen a lot of families and couples coming by. The parking situation can be difficult, as the lot quickly fills up, but you can usually find parking across the street or elsewhere. I'm happy to have found this little gem in Northville.

My friend and I shared a tomato, basil, feta pastry, a chocolate filled croissant, and a couple macarons. I believe they bring these in from a local bakery and everything was delicious. We both ordered seasonal drinks. An apple spiced chai latte and a pumpkin latte. They have a cozy atmosphere and a decent amount of seating. I didn't check to see, but I would have loved to have sat by a fireplace if they had one. I wish their parking lot was bigger. I'm guessing people often park at Kroger.
