I took a virtual class through work with Rachel and had so much fun. It was my first terrarium and Rachel walked us through the steps in an easy to understand way. All the materials shipped in advance of class and arrived carefully packaged. I would definitely take another class but hope I don't kill my terrarium first! :)

This is one of my favorite places to shop . In addition to it's beautiful aesthetic , the plants are so beautiful and healthy and always well tended to by the super friendly and helpful staff , who always give extra information on how to care for the plants , and what is best suited for you and your home , depending on lighting and other factors . It is always my go to for gifts , which are of great quality and always kept fresh . I've attended some classes also , which are fun and creative and you leave feeling great , with your creation . From the products , plants , planters , candles and a plethora of home decor ideas , and occasionally hats and clothes , and the warm friendly staff and owner you will not be disappointed here , and this is why it has been one of my favorite places to shop for many years and continue to go back time and time again 💟

I have been shopping at Modern Terrarium Bar for the past 5 years. Just walking through the doors is an experience in itself. The shelves are filled with gorgeous and healthy plants, organic candles and soaps, and other beautiful items for your home or for gifts. The care and attention that the staff gives me, whether I am simply shopping for a small plant, or if I'm making a terrarium, is just amazing. It's clear that customer service, and ensuring that I have a relaxing time in the store, is their #1 priority. This store just doesn't sell plants/items...it offers you a beautiful escape from your busy life and feeds your soul with creativity and bliss.

Took a wonderful virtual terrarium building class with rachel today. The product they sent in the mail was extremely high quality and the result was amazing! Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a quarantine activity. I’ve done many of these corporate virtual events and this was by far the favorite!!

I participated in a virtual terrarium making class as a work team event, it was fun, simple, and I ended with a beautiful little plant for my desk. They mailed the kit to my home in advance and the owner walked us through how to make our terrariums via video. Loved having this creative outlet, highly recommend!

I had a blast doing a “plant and paint” for a remote work event! Really unique and relaxing event and such a breath of fresh air when compared to the typical lunch/drinks for work. What a great company and idea!

We did a virtual class with Rachel and I didn't know what to expect, but it was great. Everything comes well packed, the kits come with everything you need (bring some paper towels for the soil, though!), and Rachel is great at walking you through everything, even virtually! Took about an hour, and would recommend it both for a work event, or something to do with friends. It'll make your home look more lively too!

Very fun! I called ahead to make sure there was availability and they were able to accommodate with no problem. Rachel was very friendly and she gave us great direction in creating our terrarium. Pricing is very reasonable especially since it's 100% customizable. The selection and quality of plants is the best I've seen in the area.

Wandered in here on a whim. Chill place with a great gimmick: build your own succulent garden. She has a few uncommon house plants in here for sale and good taste in planters as well. Want to do something different as a small party? Bring your friends and fail at plants together. It'll be fun.

Found this place on Tiktok, and decided I had to go. Walking in to this place is like a dream, the place is filled with beautiful plants, jewelry, home decor, bath bombs, handmade soap, & all other cute things! Making a terrarium was so fun & relaxing, & the employees were very kind and helpful. If you're looking for a fun outing with a friend or significant other, this is the place!!

Walked in, was seated very quickly. When you're seated, they're tell you to look around the shop and choose the makings of your terrarium. There are a lot of options at different price points. After you choose your items, they give directions on how to fill your vessel and such. They have minimal direction towards what you're making, only intervening when you ask for help or look like you need some. Overall, great experience. Something that could definitely turn into a hobby of sorts.

Making terrariums here was very fun! We had a great experience and the shop and staff are very nice. However, I was told on the phone that the base price is $36.95. When we got there, there were not a lot of options for choosing bowls/containers in this price range and it was not previously explained that the cost of the containers would drastically increase the price. The cheaper containers were not so nice and since it was a special celebration, we chose bigger containers despite the costs. It was a nice experience and we love our terrariums but very, very expensive.

We were a group of ten people who attended a DIY Terrarium planned event at Modern Terrarium Bar. When you enter the space, it is bright, relaxing, and beautiful. If you are a plant lover, you will enjoy seeing all different plants and have opportunities to create your Terrariums. If you decide to create a terrarium, reservations can be made in advance. Our group, we did the forest option. The glass, supplies, and succulents were all carefully selected and organized upon our arrival. We were selected with a Jade succulent from owner, Rachel Song, as she taught us step by step the importance of taking care of plants, sand, rocks, charcoal, and more arrangements when you create your terrariums. We had a good time being together, getting to know Rachel as she got to see how we were, and creating our terrariums using our creative spins when assembling what we wanted in the glass. You have an opportunity to browse the plants, products, and more from other artists who have their works on the shelves. Many live plants are around, plenty of love and sunshine within the entire space. I highly recommend Modern Terrarium Bar to all plant lovers and novices. Being a part of a beautiful space, you can't get better than that during a weekend afternoon. Looking forward to seeing my succulent succeed and grow in my fun Terrarium.

We had a virtual DIY event with Rachel being our host. The kits arrived nice and safe. It’s super convenient, the kit has everything you need!! She’s professional and made the experience wonderful. House plant selection is beautiful. Plants are healthy and pest-free. There is a great selection of rare/collectable plants. Staff is very knowledgeable and helps with any/all questions you may have.

This is a great place to learn how to make your own terrariums. Rachel is a fantastic and diligent teacher and I love taking her class. I just got my second Terrarium done today!

One of our best date experiences ever. We found it extremely relaxing and therapeutic. Really great place to spend for some quiet time and build a real connection with your partner. The staff was extremely helpful with every step of the process and we highly would recommend going again!

I’d rate it 6 stars if I could. Easily one of the best experiences I've ever encountered. The environment is calming, the instructor was perfect, and the end-product was amazing. What more could somebody want? In addition, they have really great products that are available for purchase. This is a place I will definitely revisit.

I had an amazing experience with my cousin and meeting Lieza. I definitely recommend this venue for all occasions as a date night, ladies night, or birthday celebrations. It was my gift experience for my cousin and we both had a great time! Soon they’ll have a liquor license.

I have been going to this shop since it first opened and have watched it evolve and grow through the years. Walking in makes me feel instantly at peace and I could sit with the plants all day. Customer care is top notch which is why the owner has so many repeat clients. The terrarium making is a unique gift and has never failed to bring so much happiness to those I have created with. This store truly is a beautiful addition to RVC and a gem in Long Island.

Was surprised to come here for my birthday, it was an amazing experience and a really cute idea. Shoutout to my best friend for finding it. Definitely a little on the pricey side but it was totally worth it. Highly recommend going by for a special event and learning a lot from Rachel!

A great idea for date night or even a group get together. Let your creative juices flow as you get to choose all aspects of your own terrarium. Be mindful that certain plants, colored sand/rocks bring additional costs.

This is a beautiful clean place. The owner taught us how to make a terrarium. Has the right tools, different types of plants, containers. Very creative restful place. Would do this again. And again. There are also gifts at this store.

This is such a cute plant boutique with a cool DIY terrarium activity. I came here twice for the DIY and my parties loved it! Also they have really healthy plants. It's a bit pricey, but it's a great, small, local business to support.

Such a cool experience and super Zen. Great way to spend an hour to build something that is calming and relaxing. Good for all ages.

Had a blast, fun couples project, knowledgeableand accomodatingly hospitable staff. Wish they had a larger selection of vessels to fill. They only had three or four types. Had a good time none the less and will return for more. The terrarium turned out great with help from the store keeper.

Rachel was great to work with in setting up a virtual succulent terrarium building event for 20+ people spread across the US and Canada. Her communication and ability to customize our package, on time delivery of all terrariums to their respective destinations, and the engaging event itself via Zoom all made for a fantastic experience. We would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a new, unique virtual experience for their teams.

Had a virtual terrarium event through work and it was great! I loved the extra touch of starting with meditation. The end result was a beautiful live terrarium that I hope to keep and add to for years to come. Wonderful event and thank you!
