A super little pub, The Bank of Friendship offers a variety of beers from cask and keg. Beer is served with a smile and is both polite and efficient. A great pub

This is the home to the Legend of the Walking Guiness. The Bank of Friendship is a haven of peace and merriment and is much adored by its good humoured patrons. It is also a pub that treats it's regular clientele very well, thanks to its friendly and professional staff. In short, this pub deserves and lives up to its name. It now also features an attractive, spacious and heated outside garden that is even popular in winter! If you need sustenance while enjoying your evening here, you can order Yard Sale Pizza, or Thai food from Rabiengs, over the road, both of which are delicious. A great local pub. Thanks to the heaters in its garden, it is possible to sit outside even in winter. There is no kitchen in the place, but great pizzas can be brought from Yard Sales Pizza. If you're around, it's a must-visit place.

Sadly never got the monster munch pizza nevertheless I will be returning soon to test it. Lovely horse show pub, with proper pub attire (fabric benches and carpet). Outside is great though a little covered for a summers day.

Seemed like a nice atmosphere but I was promptly told to leave as I had a dog. Certainly the first pub I've been into which doesn't allow dogs. If they are trying to differentiate themselves by describing themselves as a "dog-free zone" they are going the wrong way about it given around a 1/3 of households in the uk own a dog...

Fantastic pub which has stayed true to its roots. Been visiting for years and has not lost its traditional feel and atmosphere. The partnership with award winning Yard sale pizza is an added bonus, allowing you to order directly to your table, the Guinness is top notch!

Great buzz in here No grub but you can order from Yard Sale Pizza up the road Think it’s the best Guinness in London. There’s others that match it’s taste, but consistency wise it’s unmatched

Amazing little pub with both indoor and outdoor seating. Indoor has a nice cosy feel and outdoor has a great atmosphere and well maintained garden. Always have collabs with local restaurants for some quality food + often have live music Plus the staff are super friendly! Love it!

Absolutely disgusted and embarrassed by the treatment of staff here. Came here on the queens jubilee at 4pm and got refused entry because I had my 8 year old daughter. They also debited £100 from my account for a bottle of wine and 2 beers. We travelled from Wales for the weekend and have never experienced such discrimination. The bar man told me it was standard procedure to not allow a child in at 4pm. The rudeness of staff was unbelievable and their incompetence in not being able to type in the correct amount for drinks just shows they’re lack of education and stupidity

This is a nice neighbourhood pub with a good, buzzy atmosphere. The drinks are fine and apparently you can order in pizzas although we didn't get to do that. One word of warning though - it's really gloomy in the main bar so you have to take care not to walk into something on your way to the garden!

A cozy neighbourhood pub with real fire, and plenty of heaters in the garden. I really like that you can have direct delivery pizza for Yale’s Pizza

May not look like much from the outside but a great pub. Lovely shaded garden (although tables are very small), screens (small) with sport on inside and excellent Yard Sale pizzas available via delivery to the restaurant. Good beer selection too. Shame my mate Danny couldn't handle it.

Nice place to go before Arsenal match. Not too busy but still a great atmosphere. Bit dark inside. Would definitely sit in the garden though

One of the best pubs in North London. A must visit with the added bonus of being able to order Pizza from a banging nearby restaurant! Garden in summer is the place to be.

Great neighbourhood pub. Solid selection of beer. Bought a pint of London Pride for £4.30. has a good size beer garden with heaters. Interior has dark wooden walls along with leather couches. 👍🏼

An absolute gem of a place. You walk into a charming bar with the vibe of a traditional pub with a modern buzz; then, walk into a stunning garden, and you want to come back again and again.

A large, covered and heated beer garden is this pub's best feature (though not great on sunny summer's days as only a few tables are in the open).. unfortunately (due to local residents on two sides) it closes early and smokers are relegated relatively early to a small sheep-pen that quickly gets crowded. Under-21s are not welcome (though most of the clientele seem to be in their mid-20s - so it's not meant to be a family-friendly place). Dogs are also not allowed. Good selection of drinks but they are some of the most expensive in the area. There's no kitchen but arrangements with local eateries (e.g. Yard Sale Pizza) means you can still get food delivered (though you have to pick it up from the delivery rider on the pavement outside). The ramp to the garden is permanently closed these days, which increases seating capacity but isn't helpful for accessibility reasons. It's dark and a bit dingy inside and the staff seem permanently bored to tears. The plexi-glass partitions during the pandemic are gone, and they've clearly spent a bit of money on the beautiful outside area.. but that's about it.

Lovely pub with relatively quiet and charming atmosphere. If you're looking for a loud, rowdy pub, with TVs blaring incessant sports, and perhaps a bunch of noisy video games, don't bother with the Bank of Friendship. This pub caters to a more civilised clientele.

I met friends in the rear garden of the Bank of Friendship on Blackstock Road 16th June 7-9pm. Myself and one friend both have reduced mobility and mobilise with sticks. There is a step down in the rear garden on one side, and a ramp on the other side. The access to the ramp side was completely closed off - the doors were locked, there was a steel bar accross them, and lots of furniture obstructing the route. This ramp is there to enable access however it has been rendered unuseable, The staff were politely requested to open that set of doors but declined.

Great local treasure. Unexpectedly decent garden, wine list and solid takeaway options - Yard Sale and Rabieng Kitchen 👍

Spent a large part of my life in this pub. Regrets? Je ne regret rien. Great pub, even now when Islington has gone upmarket/pretentious/crazy, a sensible price for a great range of beer. Superb outside space and friendly staff. UTA!

Cosy garden with great heaters which give you a nice countdown before they go off! Good selection of beers and Christmas tipples. Would be 5 stars, if it were not for the atypical North London red wine selection. A nice place to spend an eve.

Always good for a friendly relaxing atmosphere. Knowledgeable friendly staff and a young, hip clientele. Food from local businesses eg. Yardsale Pizza to name only one but more are on offer, just ask the friendly team 😀
