There's
no
official
parking,
so
We
parked
on
a
dirt
lot
across
the
street.
As
We
approached
the
Steps
there
are
Photographers
that
wear
a
museum
vest,
showing
You
a
Printout
of
Single
Picture.
I
asked
the
Price,
he
said
1,000cfa.
He
began
taking
several
shots
moving
Us
into
different
poses,
taking
Us
up
the
stairs
and
taking
more
pictures
turning
this
thing
into
a
Photo
Shoot.
At
the
Top
were
Restrooms
to
the
left
and
to
the
right
was
a
container
turned
into
a
convenience
store.
I
bought
a
Coca-Cola
for
500cfa.
We
paid
3,000cfa
per
person,
I'm
guessing
because
I
dressed
like
I
was
a
National
Citizen
that
day.
Lol.
The
inside
of
the
Monument
was
very
informing
especially
having
an
English
speaking
tour
guide.
We
seen
three
floors
of
history.
Then
returned
back
down
to
catch
the
elevator
up
to
the
fifteenth
floor
into
the
cap
of
the
Statue.
The
View
was
worth
being
in
that
small
elevator.
The
Monument
represents
Family
leaving
the
past
behind
and
seeing
the
Future.
After
the
tour
we
went
to
Cafe
at
the
bottom
of
the
steps,
while
it
was
still
under
construction.
We
bought
a
Coca-Cola
and
Large
water
for
2,500cfa.
The
Photographer
sits
down
at
the
Table
and
asked
Us
to
receive
the
80
pictures
through
Whats
app.
He
then
asked
for
40,000cfa,
My
Wife
then
negotiated
and
We
settled
at
30,000cfa.
He
then
proceeded
to
ask
if
We
are
going
to
Goree
Island
so
He
can
take
pictures
of
Us
there.
Overall
is
was
a
Great
Experience.
