Absolutely mind blowing experience, from start to finish. Starting with the venue, it's a beautiful old building with multiple floors and outdoor seating, complete with decor that you'd expect from a cafe with this name. The upstairs features an amazing seating area that is accessible by a spiral staircase reminiscent of one from an old Dutch studio. My girlfriend and I were warmly greeted by a host of super friendly waitresses (one red haired and one brunette with braids... you know who you are:) and waiters. Immediately we were offered menus and had our drinks order taken. Even on a Friday night, the service never felt slow. What followed was some of the best vegan food either of us had ever tried: The cheese platter with cheese by Honestly Tasty which blew us away, had flavours my girlfriend and I have missed so dearly ever since we made the switch to vegan. We had the Tofu Steak and the burger as a main, both of which were delicious. The Tofu steak had a texture I didn't believe was possible to achieve and will be spending a lot of time trying to recreate at home. The burger was delicious too, although the buns were a bit dry and crumbly (and this is my only nitpick of the entire evening). As a side we had the Cauliflower Cheese which I could have had twice, it was so good. We finished this fantastic feast off with the boozy cherry brownie (can't remember if that's what it was called) which satisfied the very last need we had for the entire evening. We were sitting at our table with our buttons unbuttoned, trying not to explode from all the delicious food we had just eaten. All of this paired with a few glasses of the House Red had us both agreeing that this was the best dinner out we ever had. 10/5 will definitely come again, there are still items on the menu we need to try.

Amazing cafe with great service and very ethical. Zero waste and classes are offered here too. The food is delicious - would definitely recommend the sweetcorn fritters and the banh mi. The menu changes depending on day/time so I would also recommend the sausage sarnie and the shakshuka. The interior is really cute and the courtyard is nice and peaceful, especially when there’s good weather.

Best plant based food in London? Yes without a doubt !! Plus the Cafe supports an amazing social cause - on the job training for people with learning disabilities. It's a bonus that feeds your soul 👀

This is a cozy and community-focused vegan cafe located in a quieter part of Brixton. During my first visit I found it quite warm and welcoming thanks to the staff, who were attentive and thoughtful. The brunch menu offers a variety of breakfast classics (like Full English Breakfast and pancakes). In addition to seating on the main area when you walk in, there is upstairs and outdoor seating. All areas are decorated with plants, which adds to the down-to-earth aesthetic of the cafe. If you’re planning on working in the cafe do be advised that patrons are permitted to work during the weekdays up to a certain point, but not on the weekends. This is so that as many people as possible can enjoy the space.

I came for a friend's birthday and as a non vegan, I enjoyed the food and the staff were so nice and friendly. We shared the beetroot three ways, mushroom "scallops" (really nice), crispy tortilla (really enjoyed this one), courgette fritters (slightly dry), BBQ Korean tempeh skewers with cold noodles (as a Korean, I felt it was lacking in Korean flavours but it was still a nice dish), moussaka (good), roasted spiced cauliflower with butter beans and tomato (great) and the chips with "bacon salt" (honestly we re-ordered more as they were that good). I've heard good things about their brunch menu, so I will definitely come back at some point!

A small cafe, heavy name and a wonderful place to hang out. USP is being absolutely vegan, having a chill intellectual vibe and changing menu every 6 weeks. Cool. Food was innovative and delicious. I took Kombucha on side. Wasn't disappointed. Large black olives were suck-worthy. Gin and tonic was standard. Service was to the point. Both the waiters were patient, poised and friendly. Ambience is Van Goghy. Starry canopy, hanging ferns and bursting surrounding. I loved the way the small space was arranged. I love independent cafés. This one will definitely be on top side.

Gorgeous little cafe with beautiful interior. I am not vegan but nevertheless was very impressed with the roast from a meat-eater's perspective - the vegan Wellington had stacks of flavour and was very filling. Great crispy potatoes and I thought the Yorkshire pudding was especially good. The only thing I would like to see would be the dressed spinach leaves swapped for some green roasted vegetables as I think that would go better.

What a delightful surprise on a rainy Saturday! The Van Gogh-style decor in this beautiful cafe set the stage for an unforgettable experience. From the warm welcome to the empathetic and kind service, every encounter was a delight. The upstairs table was a great spot, and the atmosphere was perfect for families. Despite being meat eaters, we ventured into the world of vegan cuisine and were pleasantly surprised. The menu showcased a variety of flavors, tastes, and textures that left a lasting impression. It has certainly opened our minds to being more open to vegan options in the future. The coffee was a standout, among the best I've ever had. The switch to oat milk was a game-changer, and I'll be requesting it from now on. A heartfelt thank you for brightening our family's day. Wishing the cafe all the success in the world – we feel fortunate to have experienced such a wonderful place.

I went out of my way to visit twice in the short space of time I had in London. An ethical business that does good for both the local and wider community, but the food and service goes punch for punch with anywhere. The atmosphere is particularly enjoyable, it's a beautiful cafe with good music and gregarious staff. All vegan, the pancakes with bacon were the highlight for me. Value for money makes it perfect for anyone watching spending. Oh and excellent coffee, too.

Cute cafe. I’ve only ordered a latte here, but it was good. The wait staff was nice. The server says it was okay for me to sit at their table even though I plan to only have coffee. She was nice and helpful. I went upstairs to enjoy my cup of latte. In the spring, the garden out back is open. I highly recommend visiting this place when you are in the area.

I had the most delicious French toast that I ever had in my life! Absolutely delicious, all the flavours perfectly combined and so tasty that I want to go back for more very soon! Van Gogh Cafe is the best vegan restaurant that I know, I’m a regular costumer and I’ll continue to be and recommend every body to try it even if you’re not vegan. My husband doesn’t like vegan food as I do but he decided to give it a try on the sausage roll which he was absolutely shocked that it tastes way better then most sausage rolls he has eaten before.

Lovely and adorable vegan cafe next to a cozy church. The atmosphere was so relaxed, welcoming and friendly. The staff were relaxed but attentive and very sweet. The food was diverse and yummy! My partner had the vegan burger of the day and I had the eggplant dish. I had FOMO for my partners dish. My partner had the brownie with a raspberry compote which I swear was better than a “real” brownie. Their ethos and mission are awesome as well. I definitely recommend frequenting this cafe!

My friend is vegan so we went to this cafe. The garden area is so beautiful and the upstairs of cafe is so lovely. The staff are really friendly and try to meet your needs (as long as it isn't meat lol) I had the cauliflower cheese (mac and cheese) that came with a cold salad. It was okay but very new to me. My friend had a burger and seemed to really enjoy it. We both had their desert of the day and they were lovely. If you have a sweet tooth you'd really enjoy it

Great food with a good heart as they are giving back to the community! We went there for Saturday brunch. Ambience is good, I love house plants and they have plenty of it. The service was great and friendly. The food was superb! Really good portion too that we have to skip the dessert. We will recommend to all our friends to try! ☺️

My first ever vegan restaurant meal. And as a staunch carnivore I was a little apprehensive - however I have to say I was very pleasantly surprised. I was at a wedding reception and the meal was set with four courses. I forgot to take photos I was enjoying it so much. The staff were absolutely delightful. This cafe is at the heart of the community offering opportunity for those with difficulties to gain skills for employment. Also classes on cooking on a budget. This place is a little gem and worth a visit. Ooh and they do lovely cocktails too

The first time I visited this vegan restaurant, I loved their Christmas set menu so I returned to try their normal a la carte menu and was not disappointed. The ‘beef’ pie was delicious and my friend tried his first vegan burger and it was love at first bite! The sticky toffee pudding was a great way to end the meal. Staff are super friendly and made our night.

So glad to have found this gem! Couldn’t have been more impressed! Absolutely beautiful building with amazing decor and lots of plants inside, very Instagram friendly if that’s what you’re looking for. We were greeted with amazing service, and they had great allergen knowledge and where happy to explain everything I could eat on the menu. Everything is vegan (so all dairy free) and they were able to make great gluten free substitutions. Best gluten free bread I’ve ever had in a restaurant. And the vegan cheese, oh wow, It’s the first vegan cheese to fully satisfy this blue cheese lover! My sister and mum enjoyed amazing warm pastry’s and couldn’t believe they were vegan. Even the drinks were lovely with hot fresh apple with lots of cinnamon. And I would say all at a very reasonable price for the portions and quality you receive. Will definitely be a repeat customer

The most welcoming fantastic restaurant that I’ve long been waiting to try! From the warm welcome by Steven which continued with the most kind and friendly chatting throughout, it’s unusual to feel so comfortable when travelling solo. Staff were attentive but not overbearing which is a hard balance to strike, however they’ve got it spot on. The food is fantastic, and changes with the seasons which is something I look forward to returning for whenever I return to London. One of the best lattes I’ve had in a while, brilliant dinner, and even got a croissant for breakfast treat tomorrow! A brilliant social enterprise that I wish we had more of, I’d give more stars if I could Thank you :-)

This place is an absolute gem. We had Sunday roast, by far the best I’ve ever had. Everything was fresh and the staff were so lovely. Reasonable prices and everything at their ethos is about kindness and community. I’d highly recommend for an intimate place to have a lovely relaxed meal

I'd heard rave reviews about Cafe Van Gogh, so on Monday after the most recent, I booked for that week treating my friend to her first ever vegan meal. It's a beautiful venue with a wonderful concept of training the most engaging Special Needs people in hospitality which I absolutely applaud so I knew I just had to be here. Under the fun and efficient enthusiasm and guidance of Steve and Michelle, it's an absolute gem of a place. Their Sunday Roasts are legendary so I'm already planning on bringing three other friends for that soon It's popular as having both indoors - two floors - and two outdoors seating areas we were spoilt for choice but chose outside for a sunny Thursday. The vibe is relaxed, loving and happy and it's contagious to all of us who were present. I deliberately take photos of uninhabited areas to avoided having people shown, so don't let that give you the impression it wasn't busy, it was The food was delicious, having seasonal produce and new innovations.I can't wait to see what my next visit will have me devouring.I actually had all three desserts but thankfully my phone camera was playing up so I only have my friends photo of two of them and the avocado on sourdough was a hit with my non vegan friend . . .so much so, we've booked dinner for 8 September. Like all good restaurants I have my favourite waiters and today it was the lovely Billy and though I was looking forward to having Tristan too, he was already off shift. . . maybe next time. I really like their online booking system as it gives clear guidance, its quick and easy, with two email reminders to confirm my booking and offer the option to cancel so there's absolutely no reason for any guests to be a no show. I can't recommend this enough not just for lovely vegan fare, event nights and "pay it forward" {where you can by a meal or coffee for someone who can't afford one} it's just the whole ambiance, ethos and eating experience so I'm eager for them to thrive even more than they already are as they deserve to. I'm hoping they'll be able to create more branches may in North East London where I am . . . There is one accessibility toilet which is large, clean and roomy plus it has nice hand washes and cream, which are always important when dining out. The Oval {Northern Line} is a 5 minute walk away, simply exit crossing the road to the church, walk alongside it and it's the first right into Brixton Road, two blocks down, it couldn't be easier. I highly recommend this to anyone who wants great food, a wonderful atmosphere and community vibe, and who knows they're supporting the most deserving eager workers you could come across.

My partner and I went for Saturday brunch and had a toasty (vegan cheese/spinach/pickles) and bubble and squeak with beans, mushroom and gremolata. We rated both of our meals 2.5 stars out of 5. The toasty was overpriced at £9.00, and was literally just a toasty, no side salad or anything else on the plate. The pickles were indescernable in the toasty which is a shame as the cheese needs something to cut through it and add interest. The bread however was toasted nicely and evenly and tasted good. Nutritionally I definitely would not say this was a brunch- just a snack. The bubble and squeak(£12) is deep fried and very tasty. However the beans were insipid and appeared to be out of a tin. The 'gremolata' added some much needed flavour and freshness to a bit of a beige meal. Again, nutritionally could have done with more protein and some additional vegetables. The food was very disappointing, which is a shame given the price and that they are a non-profit venture. I would give them another chance and go on Saturday or an evening, when they have a selection of small plates instead. The concept for the place is great, and it's cosy inside, but the menu could do with a nutritionist review and a chef advising on creative concept. Pros: Service was good, upstairs, downstairs and outside seating, Cute and cozy interior Cons: Food underseasoned, Food lacked nutritional balance, Food a bit beige- needs more veg!

I've been waiting for ages to visit Cafe Van Gogh and I finally managed to go. The staff are super friendly and helpful. The food is really good and it's great not having to figure what vegans can eat because EVERYTHING is vegan. A must visit for everyone especially to support a great cause where they help those with learning disabilities get into employment. It has an awesome atmosphere with lots of plants and flowers to admire.

Very lovely. Very cosy. Very welcoming. And of course very healthy. If you're looking for a good plant based cafe that has a really good selection of food and drink then look no further than Cafe Van Gogh. The owners are really lovely and welcoming and knowledgeable on all things plant based. Be sure to call up to avoid disappointment.

While on holiday you always want to sample the local cuisine and bask in the ambience of the area... So I did. While cat sitting I thought I'd try a cafe down the road, I thought I'd go whole hog and book a table (no one ever books a table at a cafe, but it's a thing you can do) so I sent an email and 20 minutes later I received a confirmation for my booking. The venue itself is a beautiful building (part of a church I think) with a small garden area, upon arrival I said I'd booked a table and was greeted with a joyous welcome and shown to our table. The menu offered a number of lovely dishes and I chose Mac and cheese, this was nice and the jalapeños gave it a smack of heat which was very good. I also had apple and ginger juice which was very good, my partner had the full English which was awesome (I should have picked that) and tea... Mmm tea. The service is without doubt top level with a genuineness in wanting you to have the best time you can and very attentive, there is a slightly laid back air to the place which is lovely and I'm going to be coming back as often as I can.

I use to love coming here, although now I'm not sure the menu complements what they offered prior to 2020. Also the portion sizes have become rather confusing. Order 2 small Mac & Cheese and it'll come to the same price as the regular size but larger. I don't have a complaint so much about the food quality, just the previous menu had a great variety and was more tasty. At least the Brownies still exist ?

The best vegan food known to woman. We've just had, quite possibly, the best vegan Sunday lunch of our lives. A spicy hot chocolate and a pot of tea to start, followed by a nut and butternut squash Wellington with kale and pumpkin pesto. The seasonal veggies were cooked to perfection and topped with the most flavoursome red onion gravy. We couldn't resist dessert, after such an impressive main, so we went for a berry crumble with custard and a brownie with raspberry compot - divine all round. The atmosphere was lovely, with bright sunshine beaming through the unusual shaped windows, surrounded by healthy looking plants and Van Gogh's finest prints. The staff were efficient and kind, attentive and made our experience that much more enjoyable! Thanks to everyone at Cafe Van Gogh for a cracking Sunday.

Cafe Van Gogh is my favorite Vegan Restaurant in London. The food is simply amazing, the staff is very kind and lovely, and their apple and ginger and cinnamon Drink, it’s something out of this world, and the chocolate cake is my wife favorite desert. This was a lovely, cozy cafe with an unexpected spiral staircase that led to more seating upstairs. The butternut squash mac & cheese (all vegan) was creamy and satisfying. This has to be the best Vegan Cafe on the South Side of the Thames. This place is definitely where you would come to not just pick up lunch but to get away for an hour. Dine in great relaxed surroundings with great friendly and embracing staff, who knows a butternut squash from a pumpkin. The food is reasonably priced, tasty and most certainly the chef/s knows their stuff. A great selection of hot, cold, strong and independent drinks. Recommend the Macaroni Cheese every time!

Went to this place to try their Sunday roast with my friend, as I had been there once and loved the food and atmosphere. There was an issue with the food my friend had been served and we decided to inform the staff so that it wouldn’t happen to another customer. Thanks to the staff handling the issue quickly and carefully we could enjoy our stay there till the end despite what had happened. Hence five stars as a thank you to all the staff who served us that day! Of course, the roast itself was amazing - especially the butternut squash wellington and spiced red cabbage, which were delicately seasoned! I wonder what herbs and spices they use. A beautiful gem in Brixton. Great ethics and beautiful food. Reasonable prices, fresh ingredients and quite quick service considering it gets busy. The place itself is absolutely beautiful. And it's attatched to a real gothic style church. 100% vegan and dog friendly. Amazing roast dinner!

I love the vibe and decor of the cafe, it is very amazing. The menu was also interesting and had a lot of new items to try. I overall loved the experience and the staff were extremely friendly. I would love to go back here when restaurants open again.

Great atmosphere, warm and relaxed, lovely to spot to work in get a great coffee and listen to the calm hum of chatter. Great for any Van Gogh fan as they did justice to the theme, whilst still being super cute :) it's a community venture supporting lots of worthwhile causes, so also will mean you "do good" by spending a few Bob there

I'll just say, as a meat-eater, I was blown away by this place. Every aspect of it, from the great hospitality and service, to the upstairs ambience and mood to the delicious mac and cheese and double chocolate brownies...it was all impeccable. I made a reservation with a friend for 3 and they allowed us to sit and chat for another 3 hours and we got to taste the apple and orange hot cider. It was delicious! I highly recommend this to everyone, vegan or not, it's a great place to go for lunch.

The food was delicious, the ambiance was really lovely and the service was outstanding. I recommend the mac and "cheese"!

  • 5/5 Thom a. 3 years ago on Google
Absolutely one of the best places I've ever eaten. The cheese board was unreal, and the Korean kebabs were the perfect balance of sweet, spicy, sour and salt, absolutely nailed it. Topped it off with a deliciously gooey salted caramel brownie. Amazing service, impressed the staff can go up and down the narrow spiral staircase! Beautiful atmosphere, loved all the paintings and interior design, with a great choice of music too. 10/10 can't wait to come back.

Really nice beautiful place with amazing tasty food. Really nice dishes! Great vegan options. We were very impressed once again. The people were super friendly, always with a smile 😊 The only thing I would change is that the portions have shrunk a lot with the latest menu while the prices remained quite high.

BEAUTIFUL PLACE WITH THE MOST AMAZING FRONT OF HOUSE TEAM EVER!!! But wait, it gets even better... THE FOOD IS TO DIE FOR! I could eat the entire menu twice in one sitting and still find new flavours to fall in love with. Definitely my favourite restaurant south of the river. Having the roast there several times I can definitely say it is the best roast (not only vegan) that I have ever had. Veggies are spot on, gravy gives me goosebumps and the roast itself is pure bliss. Always remember that our species has a separate stomach for desserts. You just need one spoon to trigger that chain reaction. 🙃 Never managed to get there for business lunch but my pips working Oval certainly recomend it. Worth noting, the specials are put on the blackboard, so remember to ask your server about them! 😊 Plenty of sitting space, however sometimes it can get crowded as guest are not rushed to leave. Definitely worth waiting. Just bring a nibble with you in case you need to wait for a table😉

Really nice cozy place with Vegan food. Small portions apart of the burger which looks on the table next to me like a massive meal.

Love this place! We had the Tofu Bahn Mi, Butternut Squash Mac n Cheese & Smoked Paprika Fries- everything was delicious, great flavours! It's a wonderful location, welcoming atmosphere and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend! (The artwork was also a highlight!)

Pretty cafe, especially at night with all the lights and good to see vegan restaurants in the area especially with great ethics. Food had good concepts but the results were just okay. We had the mac and cheese. Service was friendly. Would only come back for coffee or cake to experience the atmosphere.

Lovely food and great place for a vegan experience. Service is great but it can be slow. It's slightly overpriced but it's a non-profit and a charity, so it's for a good cause

Awesome place! Charming location, freshly made tasty vegan food (I tried the vegan burger) at a great price, cooked and served by amazing staff some of whom have learning disabilities and are gaining valuable work experience, paid if possible (a flyer inside explains all). In addition, they strive for zero waste and have a sign on the door with a nod to being anti-fur, I mean what else could you ask for? I travelled an hour and a half today to bring my partner there for lunch - well worth it. Please go and support their great work.

I had the Saturday brunch shakshuka. The portion size was very small (there was literally around three pieces of aubergine and bell pepper under the tofu), the taste was very bland, and the dish was swimming in oil. Also the salad I had aside was overloaded with oil. Usually oil is used to enhance flavors but the dish was still empty of flavor. It was served on an iron pan which I liked. The service was very good and friendly, that I really appreciated. I'm feeling so sorry about the food as I was looking so much forward to it and it was so huge disappointment. Maybe bad luck since the cafe has so good reviews in general?

EXCELLENT oat milk cappuccinos!!! They use the best oat milk on Earth but also offer other plant milk alternatives, such as soy. I really love everything about the mission of this non-profit vegan restaurant. Can’t wait to bring my friends here. 🌱

For sheer friendliness, this lovely restaurant, based in a former place of worship, excelled. The octagonal first floor room has great acoustics, with no echo, I love that. I managed to fluster the waiter, for which I apologise, and made up for it by tipping handsomely

Such a kind and warm welcome from the lovely staff, absolutely DELICIOUS food (cheese board, tempeh skewers, gnocchi, cheesecake and fool - we were starving), beautiful setting and a really worthy business giving back to its community. Can’t recommend this place highly enough - will definitely be back!

Food was good but the burger party was way too thin. Also, the chocolate cheesecake dessert had a super hard rock solid base which made it had to break up and eat. Service was best I've ever had. Very friendly and super accomodating

The food was good, nice roast dinner - broccoli was slightly under cooked and very hard to cut, gravy was great, as was the wellington. The table (which I booked weeks in advance for 3 people to celebrate a birthday) was a small 2 seater table squashed against a wall and under a lamp. The chairs were difficult to pull out for 2 people, to add a third chair on the edge was ridiculous. I asked the staff if we could push the reservation back and wait for a bigger table as we couldn’t even fit 3 people’s legs under. Staff were lovely and very apologetic, but advised that the boss states it is a 3 person table and therefore they have to book it as such. I would understand if there had been a mistake or if we had walked in without booking. But to book it as a 3 person table on purpose was unbelievable. The staff seemed embarrassed to have to seat us there. They provided our first drinks with no charge due to the inconvenience which was a nice gesture, but didn’t make up for a somewhat ruined meal. (We would have gone elsewhere if I knew the area better and been able to source a vegan restaurant at short notice.) Really greedy and unnecessary of the boss to make decisions like this. The 3 stars are for the food and the nice wait staff, but I wouldn’t go back.

Small portions, even for the price, and the dessert was only one scoop of ice cream when it was supposed to be an affogato. Disappointed. Otherwise there is a nice atmosphere and waitresses are welcoming.

What a wonderful place. Definitely now one of my favourite restaurants in London. Wonderful, friendly staff, good food and good value - and you know they care a lot about ethics & sustainability. There had been a mix up with the time of my table and they really went out of their way to make it work for us. Thank you!

Absolutely delicious (FULLY VEGAN) food, in a beautiful, plant-filled space, and all for a good cause! Honestly can't believe this is around the corner from me - probably the best food in the entire neighbourhood. Menu change all the time but if you can order the mushroom starter then make sure you do!! Wheelchair accessible, including toilet.

We checked twice that a certain dish was available as a gluten free option before ordering. After the dish was served we checked again to discover they had served it with bread containing gluten! Very fortunate that we triple checked or my poor Mum would have been in trouble. We were then told, somewhat incredibly, that it would take 15 minutes to source a gf replacement. We paid full price with no discount offered despite the potentially very dangerous mistake. Be careful.

Fantastic vegan restaurant - and I say this as a non-vegan. Been here about a dozen times and it’s always good. Has a courtyard out back too which is really nice. Friendly staff and it’s a social enterprise.

Very good and tasty vegan food! Book your seat! Little disepointed that the service wasn't perfect, some glasses were a little dirty and the place we had were a little chilly because the door to the outside garden was opened to often (passing thrue to get in/out to the garden).

  • 5/5 Oonagh L. 2 years ago on Google
From the moment we arrived I knew we had found an absolute gem of a place. The building was attractive, the welcome instantly put us at ease and the garden terrace was charming, where we enjoyed fabulous cocktails. The staff couldn't do enough to make us feel welcom and the menu was one of the most interesting we'd seen in a long time. When the food arrived we weren't dissapointed, the aubergine taco starter was great and the chocolate brownie and ice cream was divine. We had an absolutely brilliant evening, thoroughly approve of the social enterprise ethos, the prices were very reasonable and I just couldn't leave without a tea-towel and jar of carrot jam. We'll keep be back as often as we can and we'll happily spred the word.

Vegan cafe offering huge selections of delicious vegan food which is different each day. To top it off the cafe is ethically focused too! be it the no plastic packaging for takeaways, compassion to animals by the vegan food they offer and playing a role to help community being a charity cafe. Very impressive! The food is very good ( special mention - Sticky toffee pudding) and the staff are helpful and friendly. The place is super busy so best to reserve before visit. Highly recommend this place!

Such a quaint café. The ambience is very nice. Staff is very friendly and gracious. The cheeseboard is a must! Couldn’t tell the difference from real cheese particularly the “shamembert” and “veganzola”, and the crackers that went along with it were very tasty as well. This definitely was my favorite thing. Achari tofu tikka was only okay to me. Personally I found the chutney rather salty and without much other flavor. The cheesecake was very dense and chocolatey - good if you like that kind of thing. I wasn’t expecting it to be so dense though an thought it was a bit like eating a slice of chocolate truffle or ganache rather than a cheesecake. Not much salted pretzel brittle on it and the mandarin sorbet wasn’t citrusy. Presentation of all the food was very nice. Saw several people who got the burger which looked very good.

As always, Café Van Gogh was absolutely delicious and amazing. One of the best vegan restaurants in the UK. I'd recommend going as a group and get everything in the menu and share. They are also dog-friendly and have a lovely garden.

We came for the Vegan Roast Dinner and stayed for the charm! This place is a shining light with its mindset for sustainability and serving the community. The roast was absolutely delicious with the Yorkshire Puddings being a standout for us. We washed it down with a few Negroni’s and a Vino Rosso or two. Staff were friendly and attentive when needed. I can’t wait to come back and try more on the menu, top marks guys!

I'd been wanting to eat at Cafe Van Gogh for quite a long time, and it didn't disappoint. I had the Sunday roast, which was delicious. Also had the brownie for dessert. I will be back - atmosphere is so quaint and cosy, and the service is fab.

This is by far the best of the vegan Sunday roasts I’ve sampled so far. Flavorful, served piping hot, not over salted like all of the previous ones I’ve had, a lovely thick gravy, fluffy Yorkshire pudding. I don’t know how they’ve done it but they really deserve their great reputation. Excellent service and the Bloody Mary hit the bloody spot!

I was early for a meeting and looked for a coffee nearby, this place was a hidden treasure trove. There is a small inside space and a beautiful hidden garden behind. I was so relaxed away from the busy road. The service was amazing! I felt the team were genuinely happy and caring, they brought water straight away. My coffee was fabulous, and my almond croissant was the best I have ever had (and I've eaten a lot of them). It was hot, buttery and generously filled. I will definitely be returning to try the brunch!

Beautiful place to pop in for a coffee, lunch or dinner. They are doing a great job helping people with learning disabilities to get a job 😃learning new skills that will help them in life 😃 Lovely decorated place with vibrant colours, inside area downstairs, upstairs and great garden at the back, they have some tables on the front too. Food & drinks are very good. A paradise for the vegans, vegetarian & healthy minded. There is a toilet accessible for wheelchairs too 😃
