This place has an enormous fish and chips sign outside and I’ve seen it many times before. I was craving fish and chips so I decided to check it out. I’m really glad I tried it! The fish was as good as I think fish and chips can get. The batter coating was crispy and the cod fish wasn’t soggy. The fish alone gets five stars from me. Also got fried jalapeños. They were delicious and very large. I got fries and my friend got tots. These were tasty, but not my favorite part of the meal. The Cole slaw was incredible also. The restaurant/taphouse has a good number of beer taps and a screen that cycles through the various beers on tap. The lighting outside could be improved. It seems there are many places to get tripped up as you are entering and exiting the building. I will be back!

Such great food. We all the got fish and chips and it was amazing. Crispy but not oily and a lot of food. We ordered the 4 piece. Solid service and vibe too. The place feels very homey. Will be back.

Great fish and chips. I've dined in once and also gotten take out before. The fish and chips are so good, I can't bring myself to get anything else! Staff is friendly, and they have a dog friendly small outdoor patio upstairs. Hidden gem off of Barbur for sure - I've lived here for 12 years and only just tried it recently! I've truly been missing out!

This place is cozy, with great food and amazing atmosphere. The owner helped us personally and was friendly and knowledgeable. We were just there for light food and drinks, but did not feel rushed, and received the same service that I would expect if we were having a whole meal. Highly recommend!

I am part of a group called SW Outreach that provides showers and outreach for folks living outside in our community. Many of our folks attended your Thanksgiving dinner and enjoyed it so much - Gourmet! Best I ever had! I just wanted to thank you for inviting everyone to participate - the food was important, but so was being part of a community holiday celebration in a restaurant. Hot meals are in short supply, but so is being welcome in a public place like yours. Thank you!

Such a cute dive bar! Has a fireplace and even a kids play room upstairs. Also a nice little outdoor balcony/patio. Our bartender named Emery was awesome. Highly recommend this spot!

They have the absolute best fish & chips in Portland, and occasionally other seafood (oysters this weekend). Hot, crispy, full flavored. The bar is what you would expect at home. Gin and tonic, yes. Martini or Manhattan, no. But friendly folks and I can't emphasize enough that the fish is the best.
