This store has the worst customer service I have every experience in my life literally will never go back or spend my money here again I strongly advise not shopping here and the secret shopper security threaten my 15 year old black son that’s was walking around picking out cologne while I’m in the makeup section and literally none of the mangers would do anything but say I’m so sorry for that here can I help you finish shopping and check you out . UNFORGETTABLE ! I will definitely be talking to higher ups about the action of this store and the treatment of there customers. I’ve never experienced this at a MACYS in my life disgusted!

Terrible customer service. Only offer price adjustment for an item purchased in store if return in person. Item went on sale 8 days after purchase and would not give credit for the sale. Told me I had to return in person with the receipt. Only problem is live far away from this location or any other location. I won’t shop here again when I return to the area. If I had shopped online credit would be no problem. But I shopped in store. Big mistake.

Great store! I’m sad to see so many of these stores closing. I find that my dress shirts that I want are rarely in stock of my size. Gregory Beene they stopped carrying. Jeans, they typically have only one pair of my size. I’m 34x30. I’m not an uncommon size. The service is good but just lacks quantity of products. :(

Terrible... Worst costumer services... I never think that a place like Macy's will hire people like the guy works at the cosmetic section he is so mind I wish I can remember his name to posted but all I know is he is a bold guy kinda aged and he was so rude that he was making fun of me with the others costumer right on my face it was unbelievable and according to the staff he had been there for ages well He needs to take a class to be polite and respectful. I have good memories of Macy's from when I was a kid, my mom worked there and has been a cardholder for about 30 years now. My family is closing the Macy's chapter. The quality with their clothing has just steadily declined since the 90s. I hadn't been inside a Macy's in probably 10-15 years and I went in today to exchange a shirt. Apparently there are 100 new policies since the last time I was in. All of them to create a tangled mess so Macy's can make more profit and provide less quality and service. I couldn't exchange the shirt in the end and I'll never shop at Macy's again. The customer service was disappointing, the clothing garbage. I don't know what the point of shopping here is. You get nicer quality and lower prices at GoodWill.

Yes I recently had surgery and was in desperate need for new bras, the lingerie departments Laura helped me so much!! I felt totally comfortable and she was a expert at deciding what I needing!!! I stopped by to purchase perfume and some shoes. Mary assisted me at the perfume area-she was helpful and knowledgeable. She also wasn't overbearing like I often find employees in department store perfume sections to be. Daniel assisted me in the shoe department. He was obviously VERY busy, but was helpful, kind and definitely hustling! He also brought other options when my chosen shoe was unavailable in my size. He readily found me as well as the other customers he was assisting at the same time. There was another shoe dept employee that was moving slowly(painfully so) and didn't seem to listen well. She seemed to think I was her customer even though the customer she was helping looked and dressed nothing like me-I could better identify her customer than she could. I say this to emphasize how exemplary Daniel was-he is earning every penny he is paid and should be acknowledged for his exceptional service.

Mattress guy kinda freaked me and my partner out. Very insistent on trying to sell us stuff that we said we didn't want. Other than that, a fairly nice store with a plentiful selection. Macy's Backstage is pretty cool though altogether. Would shop here again.

After waiting in line for 15 minutes, the sole employee behind the counter declared to everyone in line that she was taking her break and she didn't know what we were going to do, because nobody else was coming. Another employee, who had roped the rest of us who were waiting into the line opened the rope and asked us to go to the Polo section to check out. After scouring the entire Polo section and finding no employees, I circled the rest of the Men's section before finally giving up, leaving my attempted purchases on a shelf and going to JC Penney's where I found pretty much the same thing for half of what I was about to spend at Macy's. That will be the last time I attempt to shop at Macy's; there are better staffed, better behaved, better priced options just about everywhere you look.

I used to shop regularly at Macy’s, and was a holder of its Rewards Credit Card and all, but I haven’t shopped there for about 8 or 9 years now. The main reason was the horrific customer service at the Alderwood Mall Macy’s! They seem to have the superpowers of hiring the unfriendliest, rudest, meanest, grumpiest salespeople! I have personally witnessed customers being treated badly on multiple occasions. The quality of the merchandise offered was on a continuous decline! Not only that, the clothes on display were mostly half on hangers and half on the floor, and the fitting rooms were almost always filled with clothes dumped everywhere. And, you could never find a salesperson to help, and if you were lucky enough to catch one, your would be informed somehow that you were a bother. Walking into Macy’s felt like you were at Walmart! Decided to give it another chance the other day hoping to see some improvement after the pandemic hardships. Fewer clothing items on the floor but maybe because there were no more than 5 customers? Then we needed a salesperson! Located one after a while but observing how she treated a customer with a return, NOPE!

I get better service at a self-serve. This is how brick and mortars die. I had to walk around for 30 minutes to find someone to help me. And when I did, she was so rude I didn't buy the items I came for. More business for Amazon. What a shame.

Macy's is open til 1159pm which I am grateful for to avoid holiday crowds. I picked up a couple boxes of frangos, a must! A couple last minute items and cosmetics for myself at the Clinique counter and got all the fun gift for purchase deals today!

I don't know if it was a bad day for every staff member but, man not feeling any customer service at this location. Went into return a north face jacket. No one was in line at return counter. Cashier didn't greet just looked at me sighed heavily asked if this was a return. Gave her the return slip she sighed heavily rang the order handed me a receipt. I went to look for another jacket and found one went to customer service to pay. Was only one in line. The only cashier was looking at her phone and completely ignored me. She turned and walked away and into a door. Another lady came out of the same door asked if I was being helped. I said no. She started to ring me up and there was no tag on the jacket I grabbed. So I walked back to get another. Somehow the medium i grabbed didnt get rung up and I ended up with the xs that had a tag. Even when I kept asking to make sure I had a medium. I got home and found I had the xs not the medium I originally grabbed. Pretty upset now I have to drive back to the mall area. Which I've been Trying to avoid since the pandemic is worsening. Gotta say this macys store service has gone downhill. My original purchase was online and door dash delivered it next day. Which I would recommend over in store purchasing.

If I ever find myself looking for furniture, I make sure to check Macy's out before buying anything. Don't aways have what I'm looking for and some of the quality isn't always the best. But prices and styles hit that almost perfect balance that makes them worth checking out.

Very nice experience. Yesterday when I vist 40 to 60% discount for several items. Vanity bags are sold for 20$ and even bellow. Another attractive thing noticed was the offer for a credit card along with several offers ( since I am only a visitter to US) I didn't care but still I feel there some attraction for permenent customers. After 2015 this is the first time I shop from Macy's I feel a great difference in there approch to the customers and the way they present.

I was very disappointed on my last visit. I had checked Macy's online for electric blankets and found many. But I wanted to actually feel the blankets before I chose one. The ONLY electric blanket in the store was $360. Far above the regular prices online. That makes me not want to make the effort to go into the store.

We love shopping at Macys in Alderwood. It has everything for a reasonable price.

I like shopping at Macy's but not this Alderwood Mall location. I have been to this Alderwood location to pick up my online order like 3 times and all 3 times, my shirts were wrinkled and not folded nicely when handed to me. Sometimes I wondered if they picked one that other customers tried on in the store instead of fresh one from the shelves. Bellevue Square Macy's is entirely different experience. They gave me nicely folded fresh clothes when I picked them up every time. Also, this Alderwood location is messy. Every time I visit Ralph Laruren Polo section, clothes are all tossed up and messy. Not very inviting to shop. Bellevue Square Macy's is totally different. Better selection and they keep it nice and tidy and clothes not all tossed up. Not all is bad at this Alderwood Mall Macy's. Every visits to pick up my online orders at customer service counter, it has been great. Store associates who work at customer service counter are great and they are friendly and promptly got my items. I would rate this Alderwood store more like 3.5 stars than 4.

I hadn't been here for many, many years. I decided to see what they had for men's casual/dress shirts and was very impressed with their selection and quality. Yes, some of the prices we're out of my range, but there were plenty that were just right. There was a Labor Day sale going on with some good discounts on some quality sportcoats; alas, they weren't big enough. Still, I'll look there again first in the future. One thing that really impressed me was the person who helped me a few times...he was friendly, very knowledgeable, and totally non-pressure.

The service at the Clinique counter was terrible. The Clinique employee called out sick. I had multiple employees from other counters come over and look through every drawer over and over again just to find a powder I needed. I'm giving a 4 star for their effort. However it was hectic, unorganized and even though the computer inventory showed my powder in stock,, none of the 3 women could find it. They offered to order online which I declined because I needed it that day. I went to Nordstrom and found it there instead.

See Brian in Men's Suits. I purchased a suit jacket there from another department & came back to receive a most informative, helpful, & engaging experience from Brian. Looking back on it-this was right before close at 8pm-& he knocked the cover off the ball in providing an elite customer experience. I didn't know the pockets & threads were to be cut off, I didn't know my size. It was unfortunate it was a Reg vs. Long & I couldn't exchange, but I was pleased with Brian's attentiveness, service, candor, & personable nature. He went above & beyond, cutting off the threads, helping me with contrast/style tips, & gave me ample value. All of these are reason enough to come back to see him for my next suit. I am not sure why they have him stationed in a female apparel section on the other side of the men's suits. Thankful Janet or the cashier in the Men's section sent me to him for his expertise. Hey store Management, this guy was wonderful & as a successful luxury goods salesman, this is a rep that shine's & will help the energy/sales/experience ten fold. High quality clothing and shoes with good price. One minus point is no trolley or bags for customers to put things while shopping. The goods were put in to a thin paper bag without handle, that stop buyers shop more

I love how at the checkout counter, there’s a sign that says very clearly, “We make returns easy”, but then they reject returns that don’t have the tags still attached. That’s not easy, that’s just silly. I’ve never heard of such a return policy, especially at a clothing store. I had the tags and the receipt but they didn’t want to take my return. I know they have a plastic gun behind the counter that can easily re-attach the tags, yet they’d rather turn away customers over something so trivial. If that’s your policy, then post a big sign next to the one that says, “we make returns easy”, with the words, “to return items, all tags must be attached”.

The staff here is awesome. My wife enjoyed her makeover. Really great experience from Alyxx and Courtney in make-up.

Macy’s still has cologne and perfume out to smell. Also thyme sell the jump size bottles. And they have a decent sports section.

All women shoes and like 20 pairs of men shoes. Haven't seen this in a while. Useless for men!! I would give them 1 star but if you're a woman you have plenty to choose from.

I love Macy's because it a high end store that has been around for many many years. The thing about Macy's is you can find them in any state or city. The quality of the merchandise is always excellent. When you shop in store or online, you're getting what you pay for. The associates are friendly and courteous. They are always appropriately dressed. The store has an excellent return policy and you can apply for the store credit card. When Macy's have a sale, you can get great bargains.

Macy's is always my go-to store! Right now the deals are better than ever so go and stock up because once we are out of quarantine you will be in style! But customer service is great at Macy's. They are the best!
