Incredible! A museum practically unknown to most people and museum circuits. Don't be fooled by its modest appearance. The interior is very rich, almost completely covered in gilded woodwork, in the style of the Church of S. Francisco and the Church of Santa Clara, both in Porto. It displays the collection of sacred art of Henrique Amorim, Américo Amorim's uncle, both linked to the cork industry. Vast collection of religious statues of the most varied origins, paintings, tapestries, smaller objects of incredible value. An important cultural space. For those who like sacred art, baroque and history, this space makes us feel at home, in our world. There is also a small part dedicated to cork, with important information and several granite statues outside. It's well worth the €4.

An incredible museum! It's worth every step inside, every euro paid (4€) it's incredible to see how we see works made hundreds of years ago and still preserved. I loved meeting you!!!

It's still worth the trip. At the moment, there is a beautiful exhibition/reflection entitled Sociedade Cansada.

A rare museum, a true chamber of wonders, which makes it a true example of what is the matrix of all museums, a place of amazement and joy!

Espólio bem trabalhado por uma equipa muito profissional, que faz um trabalho de investigação para poder ombrear com a dignidade das coleções. Vale a pena visitar!

I went to see an exhibition that is taking place by Mário Cruz. The service was extremely attentive, right from the messages exchanged on the Facebook page... Congratulations! I confess that I didn't pay much attention to the museum itself, but I was a little disappointed with the exhibition... The theme is fantastic, the photos are beautiful, the care taken in the decoration reveals commitment, but the presentation in its entirety, from my perspective, left something to be desired! They could have created more of an environment to raise awareness of the issue presented... Perhaps covering the museum walls with sheets to hide the images... They could have given a darker atmosphere, put background music that appeals to the heart... Maybe make us walk through the trash???? Creating smells wouldn't be a bad thing either... In other words, basically, the exhibition was a little more of the same: showing us something, but that doesn't actually affect those who have never lived in a space like that! It was like watching a catastrophe through a screen, in the comfort of our home, safely and without major disturbances... In short, I really liked it, but I felt like there wasn't much of an impact! But congratulations to the museum for hosting this exhibition and if there are others in the future that interest me, I will definitely be back!

Beautiful museum with a lot of very beautiful church altars and a small cork museum for the blind who make the same figures so they can touch them. Very friendly staff. Figures partly from the 13th century to the present day. Entry costs only €3 per person and is very cheap The ceiling pictures are painted by a gentleman who is still alive, beautifully handmade decorations that you can buy at the entrance are very nice

(Translated by Google) A real hidden gem! Relatively small museum but completely studded with art - with a focus on sacred art - on the floor, walls and ceiling. (Original) Uma verdadeira pérola escondida! Museu relativamente pequeno mas completamente cravejado de arte - com enfoque em arte sacra - no chão, nas paredes e no tecto.

Beautiful!!!! We loved it!! The building alone is impressive. We went especially to see the Mario Cruz exhibition - leaving among what's leave behind. Really shocking, incredible, very very interesting. Regarding the staging, it is also incredible. Totally recommended!!!!

In addition to the museum part, the building is very interesting, due to the way it is circulated.

Very interesting place. There are alot of different items on display mostly of a religious nature but still interesting to see as some pieces are very old and there are even replicas of some pieces made of Cork. The lady who served us is a very lovely and passionate about Cork. Bought a few souvenirs which are all hand made of Cork and not very expensive. Will definitely revisit the museum again

(Translated by Google) Very beautiful space, although it is directed to Sacred Art, they are doing activities outside that area. At the moment they have an exhibition by the winner of the world press photo 2019 - Mario Cruz, dedicated to the theme of excessive consumption and, consequently, the waste created by us.

(Translated by Google) Surprising places but they removed a room where there was a crowd of cork objects, very unfortunate! (Original) Lieux surprenant mais ils ont supprimer une salle ou il y avait une foule d'objet en liège, très dommage !

😠 A family event that is not kids friendly (eg. there are some steep slopes where children could fall). There are very few attractions to ride and the existing ones had a wait time between 60 and 90 minutes. Not worth a 7€ ticket
