Rebecca Keller is completely useless. Do not use this company's service!

It’s too hard to find a psychiatrist that accepts beacon and sees children. I’ve been looking and calling around for weeks, even the list provided from beacon gave no results. Some of the drs listed aren’t psychiatrists or even in the mental health field.

No issues with customer service. No place near me for mental health services that does not have an hour+ wait time in office for my 5 min appointment.

Absolutely terrible customer service from the practicioner side (apparently from the customer side as well, reading reviews here). Refused to work with a small business to get into their network to help one of their clients. Wrote insulting emails back when asked for the reason my wife's solo mental health practice was rejected. Called it "administratively burdensom" to have a standard contract with a solo practicioner. It was extremely "administratively burdensom" on our end as a small business to try and work with a company that had no interest in supporting their clients. Do not do business with this company if you have a choice

Lack of quality providers. If you look up the reviews of doctors in the network, they are horrible! Called a few "in network" providers and they said they no longer take Beacon because they are terrible to work with.

Beacon Health Options is the behavioral Health portion of my family's insurance plan. I have worked at the same place for 10+ years with the same health insurance plan, no changes. There are 6 of us on our health care plan, including two teenagers who rely on behavioral health services. Beacon's online system has defaulted our coverage to read "plan terminated" not once but TWICE in the past 6 months and there has been no changes with my health care coverage in that time frame. My over all insurance has never faltered through this process and has consistently shown that we are active and have full coverage... including Behavioral Health Services. No issues with medical visits, prescriptions, lab work/tests, etc. Beacon, however, shows in their system that we are terminated and not covered even with our insurance reps telling them we are covered and active. They have admitted numerous times that it is a glitch on their end but this means no access to behavioral healthcare for my children while they figure out their situation... which I was told could be 30 days! I have talked with over 6 customer service reps, I've been on hold for durations of over an hour, I've have had to leave voicemails for managers and I've been told that I will hear back from people and never do. Every person I speak with has a different story about what is going on but they are all certain that it should be reviewed. One person told me they were transferring me to a Review Department. After waiting on hold for 20 minutes while being transferred, I hung up and called back and got another reps, just to be told that customer service reps don't have a number to transfer people to a Review Department area. This is the worst customer service I have ever experienced in my life. This is the first review I have written but I wanted to be sure that anyone who is in need behavioral health services actually finds an organization that can "service" their needs. Look elsewhere beyond beacon if you have the choice.

Have had to deal with Beacon health several times for myself and my children and it's an absolute joke! It has not covered MANY things needed or good doctors! It is pretty sad in this day and age when you wish you qualified for government insurance instead! I wish people at GM would tell the company that Beacon health is horrible! They need to switch!

My son began suffering from severe anxiety (thoughts of death, etc). Trying to find an IN-NETWORK, OUTPATIENT doctor in our area is impossible. Every place we’ve called, we are told the doctor is inpatient only. The only doctor in our area refuses to see my son because he missed his initial appointment due to being in his scheduled group therapy appointment at the time (the therapy staff double booked my son). So now we are being pretty much FORCED into seeing an out of network doctor to manage his anti anxiety/depression meds, and even that is thru SKYPE! What happened to seeing a doctor in person? Beacon is a joke. AT&T needs to re-evaluate the mental health benefits they offer to their employees and their families. Now I have to pay an insane amount for my son’s mental health out of network Skype visits or risk having my son go back to having suicidal thoughts again.
