I have been going here for the last 12 years and have to admit the food flavour is consistent everytime! Beef brisket soup with dumplings, is to die for!! Its perfected from day one! The broth of the soup is the Best I have tasted in qld!! It's proper flavoursome, not like the rest watered down and weak flavours. The broth is Next Level!... Taiwanese style fried pork and chicken puts any fried joints to shame, KFC just lost my business. But my most favourite snack, is their pan fried dumplings, crispy in the bottom and juicy and tender inside. u can tell that the filling is fresh and made with Love, u can't beat this recipe! Overall guys this menu is a grandma traditional recipe, for all of u who are foodies, u know what's up if its a Grandma recipe . I always ask at the counter if Joe is there, he is the crowd pleaser. HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO VISIT!.

Can't remember the last time I stepped foot in Yang Mama, but a friend chose it for a dinner location so it was a good opportunity to revisit. We had some individual and some shared items - probably ordered too much, but it was all pretty good so no complaints there! I was quite happy with my choice of the lemongrass pork ribs rice meal and thought that overall it was a decent portion and variety of food for the price with the three vegetable side dishes. That alone would've been a sufficiently satisfying feed but I shared some of my food with the boy and thus made room for the other side dishes. The seasoned chicken wasn't what I expected of this iconic Taiwanese fried chicken dish based on other versions I've had elsewhere - I guess they do it differently here. Still nicely fried and no qualms eating it though! Our order: * no.3 salt & pepper pork chop rice meal, $15.90 * no.4 lemongrass pork ribs rice meal, $16.50 * no.7 lemon chicken noodle, $15.50 * no.34 deep fried tofu, $12.90 * no.35 deep fried bean curd, $9.50 * no.36 seasoned chicken (sml), $11 Notes: * self-service chicken soup available * the pork mince that comes on the rice meals isn't super generous but you can ask for (free) topups * the vegetable side dishes only come with rice meals and are not included in noodle meals * 2% card surcharge

Home style authentic Taiwanese food. Best lu rou fan in Brisbane. Braised pork knuckle is a must-try as well as their fried chicken - tender juicy chicken breast in light batter with perfect amount of traditional spices, not greasy at all.

I had an unfortunate experience during my visit to the restaurant today. Despite informing the staff that I wanted to dine in, they misunderstood my request and almost prepared my order for takeout instead. Additionally, when I received the bill, the total amount on the bill was slightly higher than the prices listed on the menu. Unfortunately, the staff did not provide any explanation or offer an apology for the discrepancy. The young fellow attending to us simply pointed at the computer screen to show a different price, not even saying anything?? How did we know man . What bothered me the most was not the small price difference, but rather the unpleasant attitude displayed by the staff. It is possible that the employee might be under unfair working conditions, which could explain their negative demeanor. I wanted to bring this matter here as I believe it is important for the restaurant to ensure accurate communication with customers and provide a respectful and friendly service experience.

This is my first visit and I have ordered the seasoned chicken鹽酥雞takeaway。They are good as the fried chicken bite but not what I expect.

I came to this restaurant for the Taiwanese beef noodle soup. It was tasty and pretty good, but definitely not number one for me. In the bowl I got, the beef was a little scarce and not super soft. The broth and noodles were pretty tasty. It seemed to be more of a homestyle broth. The interior is casual and sofa seats are quite low compared to the table height. Service is prompt.

Totally love this place, me and my friend go every weekend. The food is so damn tasty, really great variety in the meals. Comes with with many vegetables and noodles, the veges are really tasty, often come in garlic butter, but it's the delicious crumbed salt and pepper pork that I order every time. My friend just loves their lemon chicken. The staff are very friendly and the food is consistently great.

Highly recommended for Taiwanese who missed good food back at TW, taste of hometown.

Its OK but used to be better. It seems maybe they put too much msgs, and the beef soup is quite oily compared to normal. My family had the Taiwanese chicken rice with veggies (#2), and the special beef noodles soup on the menu The fish cutlets with lemon was good though.

Absolutely delicious! I’ve ordered the tomato rice with seafood twice now and it’s incredible

The Beef Noodle soup is absolutely delicious, sometimes I ask for extra Beef. I frequent this restaurant for their Beef Noodle Soup or beef with dumplings noodle soup, and it never disappoints. The portions were generous and satisfying. Overall, I had a fantastic experience at Yang Mama and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for delicious Taiwanese beef noodles. I will definitely be returning for the Beef Noodle Soup.

We usually get takeaway for lunch from here. The food is great along with the portion size. They’re quite quick as well. Every now and then we will have lunch or dinner here. The food is definitely value for money. This is our favourite Taiwanese restaurant. We recommend the beef noodle soup, deep fried rice dish as well as the deep fried fish with rice.

The 2 hardest choices you will make here: 1) what to choose as it's all pretty good. 2) not eating too much (although you can take away). If you love Taiwanese food, I can't think of many better places in Brisbane.

It's very delicious and my family loved to go there. But the price have been increased by almost 30% over the last year and the portion has decreased slightly. They used to have bigger pork chop portion but now it's slightly smaller compared to what they used to have. Maybe a bit hard to tell from the picture I've taken but the four slices one was smaller compared to the other one.

It was disappointed when we had lunch today, noddles was tasteless, dumpling filling was not fresh and very little meat in it. Beef soup was ok. Our meal was very oily and tasteless, I don’t even know what I’m eating… and 2% card surcharge, make sure you bring cash. All of this, the service was good.

my ABSOLUTE favourite taiwanese restaurant 🤩😫🥰Yang Mama is located in Pinelands Plaza, super convenient location with Coles, Gotcha, Sonder and others nearby, you can grocery shop, eat and have dessert too!~🤍 The first time I had Yang Mama was yearssss back and I am so glad they are still around!🥺my go to order from them is their deep fried fish fillet rice meal, the fish, no words, so incredibly delicious, the most moist flavourful fresh deep fried fish out there🤤i love fish so this is literally the only thing i eat there!!!🤤 Their meal sets come with the option of rice or noodles~ then along with your chosen main meat (pictured above, one was deep fried fish and the other was chicken) they give you three side dishes~🤍both rice sets were $15.90~ these side dishes constantly change as they use seasonal vegetables, so you will always get a mix of flavours!! On the plate there is tofu, broccoli andddd mixed wombok/chinese cabbage~ and the rice is topped with minced beef and sauce, incredibly delicious 🥰🤤 In the past years they used to provide unlimited free chicken soup~ but due to covid they had to stop the soup station🥺🤧hopefully after covid dies down they will bring it back because that soup- 💯🤤

I love this place. Their beef noodle soup is probably the best you'll get in Brisbane. Their rice dishes are ok and worth the money but there are other Taiwanese options I'd recommend trying in the area, it depends on your personal taste.
