I highly recommend this place as your one stop shop for any costume or accessories you will ever need. The staff were super friendly and were very knowledgeable about all their stick which make the experience really easy too.

We rented themed Roman costumes for the whole family. They were awesome. The staff was very helpful, bagged our costumes for us and let us keep them for a week. Good quality costumes and service. Will definately be back next Halloween. Go in a week early and miss standing in line like a fool.

They have an incredible choice of costumes which are not in boxes therefore able to be tried on in their many change rooms. Tried another place in south brisbane, the guy wasn't that nice and wouldn't allow any trying on. The woman at the front here was very helpful and freindly, the shop is clean/tidy with great options.

As soon as I walked in the door I felt really welcome.Terri and Rowdy were amazing. I was looking for something Pink for a work zoom session and straight away Terri suggested a Pink Panther. I loved it. The entire process took about 15 mins from me walking out. Plenty of costumes very clean and lots of accessories to choose from. Simple Easy Friendly what else could you ask for.

From start to finish these guys were amazing! From helping us choose from a huge range of incredible costumes to advising us on accoutrements to making the process smooth and painless their service was seamless. We had a great night and were complimented on the gorgeous costumes. Thoroughly recommend!

Extremely overpriced, rude and told me I wasn’t able to hire a costume because the person it was for wasn’t with me. Which was a complete lie as I have hired from there previously without the person being there. They charge $121 for this particular costume and I hired the same one for $55 from disguises at Woolloongabba. Even though this place is closer, I’d rather drive way further for better prices and better customer service. As I’m not to sure that I can reply to your comment I will put it in here. I was not yelling, I said it was pathetic as you came over when I was with a guy talking about it, and yes you were very rude and abrupt, which led me to say that, that policy is pathetic. You are a costume a costume shop that hire out costumes. If they get dirty or damaged you charge more for cleaning or getting fixed. As I was leaving the shop you were continuing on which then led me to say “ he will be in this outfit for an hour to take some pictures then take it off” so therefore yes pathetic. Not yelling 😂. Anyways your loss! Was happy to pay $121 to hire a suit for an hour as it was urgent. But very thankful to your pathetic policy, as it saved me money. (Also on top of that the young bloke who was nice kept mouthing sorry)

Worst costume shop I’ve been to. The one male staff member that was working was rude and ignored me and my friends. They barely had any costumes to buy and hardly any in a small/size 8. All of the hire costumes were disgusting and stretched out. Stop replying to negative comments with ‘I think you have the wrong shop’ the owner obviously can’t take any negative criticism. The only reason you’re in business is because there’s barely any costume shops around north Brisbane.

I had such a fantastic experience renting a costume for an Old Hollywood themed birthday dinner. The dress and accessories were top quality, and I received so many compliments. Terri assisted me. She was friendly, knew exactly what would fit me, and what I needed to make the outfit period-accurate. I walked out in less than 15 minutes with the perfect costume for under $60! I loved the store, so much variety! I will definitely be back.

Staff were very friendly and knowledgeable and explained what they had available and what the outfit should look like. Even let us pick up the costumes a bit earlier than expected so we didn’t haven't I make a second trip later in the week. I’ve used them previously to hire costumes and always helpful and had what I’m looking for.

Great customer service

Highly recommend The Costume Company. We had a Gatsby themed 40th to attend and not really being big fans of fancy dress we begrudgingly went in to find outfits. It couldn’t have been easier, Terri was training a young lady so assisted in finding us suitable outfits in no time at all and made sure we had all the right accessories that were included in the price of the hire except the shoes. They just took all the “stress” away, holding our outfits until the following week. We even had a great time at the party and received positive comments on our attire. Thanks!!

A few days ago I visited this store. A lady running the shop shouted at a group of young people in the store saying "Don't touch anything, it's COVID!" I was thrown back by this comment as it's vital for people to be able to browse through costumes... exactly like they would with clothes. What was even stranger is the fact that this same lady was asking everyone to use hand sanitizer as they came in. This strange double standard and frankly outright rude tone to those young people prompted my group to leave and head to a different store.

I was terribly unorganised for Halloween this year. Service was fantastic. Terri and Darren stayed open for me as I was running late. Very accomodating and well priced. Also was impressed that they adhered to covid restrictions, whilst it may have been inconvenient for them good to see local business caring about their customers beyond just a sale.

Sad to have left this place with an awful taste in my mouth... Wish I could give it negative stars. I tried to like it as the merchandise has wide range of costume and should make you feel like a child picking out your dress-up outfits. Unfortunately, this sense of fun was quickly ruined by the STAFFS. Chasing you around trying to help you to the point you can sense that their trying to get rid off you from the shop. When it came to buying, the no "hold," no returns policy really puts a damper on the experience. If wanting a second opinion on a fun costume, don't even try to take out your cell phone - you're out of luck if you can't decide right then and there. Wish the STAFFS had been much nicer/more accommodating, not following me around the store the whole time... and the experience would have merited even another star.

I think how a company deals with a problem often speaks volumes about who they are. I had an issue today with an online order and have been completely blown away by the level of customer service I experienced when the costume company called to discuss it with me. The problem was out of their control but they have still gone over and above to try and help. I will absolutely be going back to them again and again because I know that their customer service is fantastic!

Nothing like what is pictured or described and refusing a refund for the items. They didn’t offer an exchange so they are clearly aware of the poor quality. They also post fake reviews on here and delete real one which is against the law and has been reported to ACCC. Terrible communicators and the worst customer service. Based on legal advice this matter is in the process of going to court as they have breached three sections of ACL and their refund policy isn’t to legal standards . I hired a Go-go costume from The Costume Company and I had so many compliments through the night. I first went into the Costume Shop stressed and needing a last minute outfit - I wasn't too hopeful. But the customer service was amazing and they provided me with lots of awesome costume ideas. I was overall super happy with both the customer service and the quality of the costume! It looked fantastic. :)
