I didn’t want to waste my time arguing with them, just letting it be. After that, when I calm down. I felt very bad. Even the staff in the airport, they didn’t ask me to do that. How about The BIG W? And after that, they didn’t explain why and with no apology. I would say, if this is the customer service that you want to experience. Welcome to BIG W.

Was in returning a lightbulb that I bought in the wrong size and the person (Bella) serving us didn't have her mask up. Didn't have it up for the last person at the desk either. I asked her nicely to pull it up and she was rude to me. Was quite rude the exchange after that too. I don't think I'll be coming back.

I love this store the staff are so nice. I was really lost and didn't know where anything was and one of the employees called Wren helped me find some Lego and even gave me suggestions on what I should buy my sister for her birthday. 10/10 customer service from Wren will 100% be shopping here again.

I can't believe how disrespectful the staff is. We have no electricity due to the floods and they turned us back because we came 15 minutes before closing. All we needed was a gas stove and a LED light. Very rude!!!

The security guard accused me and my friend of stealing toiletpaper which we bought from Woolworths earlier before we went there. We were browsing through some stuff and ended up not finding what we were looking for. We were about to leave the place when the guy asked us to open our backpack and saw the toilet papers and some fruits.We told him we bought it earlier that day and tried to explain the situation but he was very uncooperative and started to intimidate us. We felt humiliated and embarrassed since he didn’t let us leave and took the toilet paper in his hands. He was very rude and didn’t listen to what we were saying at all. When we said we have other stuff in the bag which we bought from Woolworths and asked him to check the cameras, it was clear that he was in the wrong and asked us to leave. We had such a terrible experience and it was embarrassing to be accused of stealing a freaking Toilet Paper. Perhaps a better training of the staff would fix this problem.

Bought a really fancy and chick dress last month and good thind it's on sale. Really like this place and just to walk around. Such a wonderful place and has many stuffs to do.

Just bought 2 bonds y trunks. Stickers on all other pairs show 2 for $35 but these scanned as $36? Two of your staff argued the fact at the checkout and simply didn't acknowledge this by not going back to your product stand. Principal of the fact of advertising here. Won't be back

There were only self service checkouts . Only one lady to assist customers and 4 people all needing assistance. It was frustrating and annoying and it is time to bring back customer service. I do not work for you. I realise all stores are moving this way but if one store maintains customer service that is where I will shop even if it costs more.

I travel 30 mins into the city and Big W MacArthur is always such a pleasure to visit. Great spacious layout and the staff are all so friendly and helpful, especially Enya who impressed me with her electrical knowledge on lightbulbs and Gabe with her technical background with TVs. Thanks team!

Order online or pick up and order gets cancelled not long after when it's says items in stock. Obviously lazy staff can't be bothered doing their job and picking the order.

The biggest deception, low prices, but in reality it is the same price as before, they just cover the label.

I like this store (only the second level) because I find great presents here for Kitchenware eg Churros makers, Waffle irons etc. Sometimes, DVDs but they also have a good range of dining items and a few toys here and there. The store is very spacious and I like the bar code scanners scattered around the shop to double check pricing.

It's a smaller 'downdown' version of the chain. I was only there for menswear but it seemed to have sufficient variety.

Always trippy to see a full size, multi-level Big W in the middle of the city and in the stunning old Macarthur building to boot. Staff have been pleasant so far and stock levels have been adequate.

Not happy - that customers cannot lay-by at this CBD store. - waited for more than 5 mins (at Fitting Rooms) for help locating an item I was looking for. Very inconvenient.

Brisbane needs more workers like Nathan in the Brisbane City store. I asked if there was any stock left of something I really needed and he said “not that he can immediately see; but he will check”. He saw how disappointed I was, explained it was unlikely but said he will check everywhere for me…after checking where it should be & (I guess) the shipment outside, he then did a literal lap of the store - he magically found it after looking like he ran a marathon. It was an early Christmas miracle. Thank you Nathan.

This review is really for Big W in general as I have encountered this issue at multiple stores now; the issue being with their stock take system. The website will say a product is in stock, I go to the store and it’s not there. In fact, on one occasion the in-store system said the product was in stock but the staff were unable to find it claiming it must have been stolen 🙄. Big W, sort yourself out.

Don't order any slight heavy item as they don't have any trolleys nor they can offer any other option. The only option they have is to carry 15-30kg item on the back.

It's handy to have a central department store in town that has everything under one roof, instead of having to travel to the burbs.

You can get some really good deals sometimes and at a very pocket friendly price

Convenient Big W located in the MacArthur Place shopping centre in the Brisbane CBD. We make a lot of use of the convenient location for pick ups and orders plus the party / balloons function they have in the upstairs portion of the store is really handy for organising events and getting balloons for parties etc.

Not happy!! Bought a Hinterland 4 person's Dome Tent from this Big W and to our surprise, it looked like it has been used before then put back on the shelves!!! Smelt damp and moulded when we took it out. We've found a used inscent stick, a small piece of glass, grass everywhere inside and out, small moulds and a small cigarette burn on the base of the tent. Seems like no one hasn't check it out before putting on shelves. Paid $65. Not happy! Had to clean, disinfect and air it out ourselves.... People please ask to see the product before buying it. This needs attention!!!! We are very unhappy.

Disappointing that the security alarm wasn't working the other day when I made a purchase on my lunch break. Got home and realized the security tag was attached and then had to take the product to my local store to have removed.

Went to the store to purchase a soundbar today & asked the guy behind the counter if not suitable can I return he replied no I asked why he said it wouldn’t be coming back in the same condition as I had opened it. Big W you might want to give your staff some training in consumer law. Poor service.

I used to go here for shopping and spent over hundreds of $ for many times. But this time I planned to buy a watch and visit here but they were very cheap quantity so, I changed my mind and didn't buy anything. But at checkout they insist to inspect my personal backpack. And also many other local customers were leaving without any problems with huge baggages. The old lady at checkout was so rude. After inspection my personal backpack don't even said thank you or sorry. These guys will treat you well only if buy something otherwise they treat you like a some criminals. I don't know what is use of those ceiling cameras.

Good and convenient. However if you have been in larger BigW in Sydor Melbourne you can see smaller variety in collections. Location in the city is fantastic.

Customer service is terrible, pressed the button many times over 15 mins and not a single staff came to help, in fact I watched 2 talking to each other and ignoring me as I pressed the button... Don't expect any help if you come to this store.

Neat relatively compact store (compared to other big w) reasonable variety of products available. Just be very careful where you choose to park. Like all places in the city parking can be expensive and the rates in THAT car park go from cheap to very expensive quickly if you're parking for greater than 30min.

They no longer have trolley's here, so don't come in expecting to be able to buy lots of, or big, items and get them to your car. Staff were lovely though and did offer to help me with a big click and collect item if I needed. Delivery is no good either if you live in a high rise and can't lift heavy items, as they won't get in lifts.
