5 stars for the nature. You can see flamingos and lots of other birds here. This area should be protected at all costs. Unfortunately there's garbage everywhere, car tires in the water, bottles and lots of plastic everywhere, people that visit this area don't respect nature at all. There's a beautiful pine forest arround the lake and it's full of trash, also the beach in this area is wild with fine sand and water but also full of trash. Police does nothing, goverment does nothing to prevent the pollution of this beautiful place. What can I say, human nature at it's best, total ignorance from the local authorities.

If you plan to visit the area DO NOT FOLLOW this location on Google maps as you'll end up on sandy roads almost impossible to practice except with a 4x4. Make sure to stay on asphalt road !

Enjoyable driving round some agricultural fields. However, no sign of a delta which was disappointing. Recommend coming in a 4x4

Amazing place for birdwatching! One one side we were taken by surprise with the sight of a beautiful Eurasian hoopoe, and one the other side, on the straight road that goes along the side of the lagoon we saw(amongst others, like a bird of prey that we couldn't identify and the Balkan wall lizard) the Kentish plover, curlew sandpiper (could be a different subspecies), Dalmatian pelicans, pied avocet, a lot of greater flamingo's, little egret, Eurasian stone curlew, ruddy turnstone, black winged stilt, little tern, little stint and a lot of small birds we do not know the name of. Can definitely advise if you want to see birds!

Cool bridge access. Cute wee monastery. Closes at 4pm in April. Free access.

I believe there is a better way to get there, but google showed us a “road” which is full of rocks and mud, our car nearly broke down. And Seeing the photos, some of them are taken in Zvernec island and some are in Apollonia park.

Don't miss the Byzantine church in Zvërnec Island inside the Narta Lagoon northwest of the city of Vlorë of Southern Albania.
