After risking our lives to get here driving with the crazy drivers on St. Kitts, a very unfriendly woman told us " we're not open to tourists". Would have been nice if they put this on the website. Place looked shabby and rundown. Don't waste a trip here.

There are photos online of this place in its heyday, with people, plants, shops, a tourist centre, greenhouses bursting with plants. The reality is quite different! This is a mostly abandoned (but cared for in abandonment) wasteland with empty buildings, derelict greenhouses, with great views and clearly a few bits of agriculture here and there. Charging $5 (US) each to see this derelict is, to be honest, daylight robbery. The only people who visit are idiot tourists, like us, off the standard ‘tour’ route (because they certainly don’t take anyone there….for a reason!) Save your money, buy a couple of cold Carib beers, and look at pictures on the internet. It’s more fun.

The St. Kitts Eco-Park is a gem found on the western end of the island offering patrons another view of St. Kitts; taking them beyond stretches of enticing white-sand beaches to tangerine-painted sunrises and sunsets in a setting of twenty (20) expansive acres of serene, landscaped gardens and lush mountain ridges in the background; home of the now dormant Mount Liamuiga volcano. The tranquil, untroubled atmosphere of the St. Kitts Eco-Park encourages visitors to slow down and absorb its exotic beauty, exquisite charm and varied mix of experiences. This agritourism demonstration farm boasts over two hundred (200) plant species in its Rose and Desert Gardens and Tropical Orchard. Each of which forms an integral part of the educational tours offered at the park which include a history of plants that have been grown by locals across the island for centuries.

It was really boring, heard a lot about it but didn't meet my expectations, there's not much there. I would say save your money and just go for a walk.

Loved St Kitts. Best fun of all the islands we visited. Train ride around the island a must. open train 20 miles and hour over small mountains and around the many beaches and towns. Almost 4 hours of fun. Park lots of good shopping. Got to hold and get pictures with monkeys. These monkey's are treated well. More monkey's there than people. Nice people. Go go to St. Kitts.

Great tour of the grounds, knowledgeable tour guide, inexpensive entry fee and also received 3 coconuts to open and drink later.

Took the train ride. Train floor had a great deal of ants and they bite. Beware. Not a bad ride. Very good narrator.
