Probably one of the most interesting tasting menu’s in Catalonia. Flavors often intense. Cooking is well executed and with the best ingredients. Wine list is extensive and offers good value. Look for the older vintages and leave some for me.

297€ for a tasting menu for two people with humiliating treatment by the head- waiter (it's a family business) and a mouldy dessert is something I would like to warn potential future customers of this restaurant against. As soon as we arrived, the waiter asked us where we were from and when we told him we were from Barcelona, he reminded us of his grandfather's words that there was nothing worse than being from Barcelona or Real Madrid. That's for starters. He then regaled us with a series of insults with which the people of that area refer to those from my city. As he served us and removed our plates, he made tactless jokes about how we left them. Halfway through the meal, the other two waiters disappeared, leaving only the one serving us for three tables, one of them a family table, so the wait between courses became longer and longer. We asked him for the bill, but he was talking to the family table and didn't bring it to us until they had finished and he had accompanied them to the door (more than half an hour after we had asked him for it). Finally, he even had the audacity to make one last joke: as we had been the last ones, we would have to do the dishes. To this mistreatment, we must add the poor state of one of the desserts (brioix de flor de taronger amb mozzarella de l'Empordà i mel de les alberes) which tasted strongly of mould. Anyway, if it hadn't been for the fact that they had my credit card number, we would have got up after the first insult, but in order not to run the risk of paying without having eaten, we put up with it. I hope that at the next Michelin appointment they will withdraw the undeserved star they awarded it, and above all I hope that no one else will be tempted to book at this place.

The hotel works from 1965. Looks like everything in this hotel is from that time. Bath with plastic curtains, toilet, tiles, painted walls and furniture. And service also actually. We stayed there 3 nights. The first day we got two bottles of shampoo. Next days nobody change them. The second day we got two small bottles of water in a fridge ( it makes terrible noise and hit the room very much). Only ones we get water and when we were for check uit we had to pay for it 6 euro. By the way almost in every hotel you can get one bottle of water for free per day and not ones in three days for money with the temperature 38 degrees. There was no air conditioning so we got ventilator for extra payment. I think it's normal to have at least basic things for around 110-115 euro per day.

Extraordinary 1-michelin star restaurant. Excellent tasting menu and wine pairing. We stayed at one of the older rooms, the maintenance was very good considering the age of the equipment and the cleanliness was excellent as well. For the more picky people there were also newly refurbished rooms available for some 20€ more per night. Staff was helpful and had good recommendations for activities around the area.

Well service and people all good and fine. At the other hand we got a very small room for the standard rate 65€+breakfast 10€ each + turist taxes. We had power plugs fulling down in the room and situated just over your head on your bed, shower was 50cm2 and top broken while to while fulling down, the shutters on the window were not working properly. And I fo not want to imagine that room in summer time. The curios thing was that we got inform that the room will be renovated in the next 2 month but I am still wondering why the charge us a full rate room. Or even a discount when the room was falling down. Expensive restaurant and low quality menu. Ones again the people and service was fine and good but quality should get better and they should not ripoff the clients.

I have never criticised a hotel before so this is a first. We booked a room for 63 euros initially, When I went to pay it jumped to 65, when I got to the hotel it was suddenly 67 euros. The room was tiny and airless. There was no way we could sleep there. I had asked for a balcony online and the hotel replied that would be 6 euros extra. When I arrived this 'extra' saw the price jump to 84 euros. The son reduced the price to 82 euros as if it was big concession. The Woman (possibly the mother) behind the desk said it was the only room available at the time - I do not believe that but she knew we were too late to back out. I challenged the price and she said it was because the room had air-conditioning. What a joke! the air-conditioning stopped at 28 celsius and would not reduce. I believe they had put a restriction on it deliberately as when we complained the son said he could do something from reception. It took nearly all night for the temperature to reduce further. The general attitude there is mean minded. The bathroom had flimsy plastic glasses, rough toilet paper, only one chair on the balcony despite being a double room. The shower flooded the bathroom and came out to the bedroom. Again we had to ask for help. Later someone unblocked it. The overall feeling in that hotel is not nice. We would not recommend it. I repeat I have never given a bad review to a hotel before but this one is not nice.

Wonderfull family running the hotel and the restaurant, wonderfull food. Even the breakfast is great. All my family loves the place and the people over there and we go as often as we can for 5 years. The hotel will be improve next year but you can try it now, it's very clean, the parking is free .... Give it a TRY.

Probably one of the best discoveries over the past thee years. This restaurant is family owned and delivers a incredibly creative and tasty food based on local products. The service is great and not too formal. The twin sons, Joan and Marius are alternatively Chef and Somelier and both amazing! On top of that wine list is incredible…. Long story short, it is a must try and I will try again soon!
