The meal here revived my spirits so much! The kind owner explained everything on the menu to me and helped me choose very well. The red scorpion fish (2nd option on the fish menu) was the best dish I have had on my month lone trip through Spain. It was simple, fresh, home made and the texture is perfect. I loved trying the local quince jelly, paired with cheese and walnut it had a multilayer taste. The restaurant has a vaulted ceiling and a nice almost monastic atmosphere, but all the diners were locals and many came by themselves. When all the bachelors come to take their leisurely lunch, you just know this is a good place! The owner was lovely and generous, I was able to use their wifi and charge my phone at my table. All these little things really help the tourists. The lunch menu was only 13 euros and I was very full. By the way the fish comes with french fries and roasted pepper, I just ate them all before taking the photo!

Great choice of food. The set menu includes 2 main dishes + dessert, bread, water and drinks(50cl of wine or a beer).the food is very typical and the owner can recommend which one to choose. The olive oil they used is made by his wife. It's all very local and you can tell from the customers that this is a very popular place for workers. We were very pleased with the simplicity of the food and the quality. The quantity is also there and you won't be leaving this place hungry. We paid €13 per person and that was one of the best place we have eaten all around Spain.

Nice selection of local cuisine in a set menu. The host speaks English and French. Frequented by locals. Can be full between 1-3pm.

Alberto was an excellent host. We talked whisky and football in a mixture of French, Spanish, English and pidgin. The food was excellent - both taste and value. The lunchtime menu was €14 for three and a half courses and a glass lot of house red. Hard to beat however you look at it.

The owner is incredibly hospitable and the menu del día is generous. Our fish was cooked perfectly, the gazpacho was light and refreshing, and the wine and water plentiful. A special place to eat!

This is the kind of local restaurant one does not want to miss - humble cooking with real flavour. The homemade chips/fries are so good. But what surprises me the most is the cheese dessert !

Cozy, familiar atmosphere, with a daily menu that is great value. The taste was great, and seemed quite authentic.

We had some very mixed feelings. The owner was lovely and very kind, explaining Catalan food to us. We were greeted with a Clorox bottle-sized extra virgin olive oil, small pieces of bread, cured meat, and omelet. The daily menu was 15€ and included a bottle of water, bread, appetizer, main, and dessert. The portions are huge. We ordered arros, fideua, and soup of the day. They were absolutely delicious. Then, for our main dishes, being adventurous, we tried the pig trotter, pork cheek, assorted butifarra, and hamburger for our kiddo. Other than the butifarra, there was no seasoning and very underwhelming. Desserts were good. Honestly, with such big portions, we could have just had the fideua and desserts and been very happy. The main dishes were unnecessary.

Walk a couple streets away from the tourist area by the Dali museum and you’ll find this mom and pop style restaurant. Great three course lunch for $15. The owner couldn’t be nicer.
