Incredible resort, highlighted by fantastic staff, a beautiful setting, and top-notch food. It’s particularly good for those who want to get further off the beaten path than many large resorts, and stay somewhere intimate (there are 8 villas) where everyone will know your name and what you like. The excursions and activities are also top-notch, highlighted by incredible snorkeling and the ability to explore the area. Can’t recommend the people and the experience here highly enough!

From start to finish my time at the Remote Resort was fantastic. Incredible hospitality, world class snorkeling off their pier, and fantastic activities made my stay great, along with a clean and spacious well-appointed villa with an amazing view. The food was fresh, creative, and delicious for my entire stay. The staff are warm and thoughtful and went out of their way to make my stay great, from reorganizing scheduled plans to doing a second night snorkel since the first was so much fun. I can’t say enough good things, and if you are on the fence, the answer is yes: do it, you will not regret the splurge!

A home from home, it may be cliche and many places say it, but it’s so true here. From the car & boat transfer, to the Fijian welcome on the jetty & the personal Kava ceremony, to the food, rooms and friendly service this place is everything you could ask for. The meals are plenty, varied and tasty. The rooms are beautiful, with great views. The excursions and diving are well worth a go if you want to fill some time with an activity or two. The name; “Remote” is key here, you are one of a maximum of 8 villas and are treated as such, we stayed a week and got to know the staff pretty well and became friends with many. They lifted the experience and made it a honeymoon to remember. Vilisi led the brilliant welcome and throughout our stay made us feel at home and ensured we had whatever we needed, Zoë was brilliant, knowledgable and helped get us setup for some epic diving trips as well as always being there for a chat in the evenings. Maria and Sia always made us welcome at meals and kept a good supply of snacks coming and Birati was one of the great chefs who always made the effort to say hi and was always up for a bit of fun. I could list so many more of the amazing staff, from housekeeping to the dive, boat and excursion teams, but it would be too long. Hard to find anything to improve on, the only things we both found were; the shampoo was a bit oily and there was occasional confusion about what dish had been ordered, but otherwise everything was brilliant. Vinaka for a fantastic stay and making us feel so welcome.

Super romantic, private and the whole experience is completely tailored to you. We came here on our honeymoon and loved every second of it! Highlights were the rainbow reef snorkel tour and night snorkel was incredible - we saw a big manta ray, spotted rays and a white tip reef shark as well as cute baby black tip sharks in the mangroves. The castaway day was also wonderful. The staff are friendly, kind, totally professional and fun. My only critique was that the massage was not really at the standard we we're expecting - I think perhaps the therapists were still training? - then again I have quite a bit of experience with spa treatments (through leisure and work) so my bar is set quite high! Over all it was such a special holiday and we would absolutely go back any time!

Absolutely worth 3 plane rides, an hour car ride and a boat ride - this is truly a remote experience. Incredible sights, activities, snorkeling, and excursions but what really makes The Remote Resort special and so worthwhile is the staff. Everyone knows your name and takes time to chat and get to know you (and you them!). They really made the trip!!!!

I can't say enough good things about this resort. So much to praise: the gourmet food (hats off to Chef Louie), dinners next to the beach, friendly staff, the fun excursions, snorkeling right off the pier, as well as the boat snorkels, were all fantastic. Plus the village visit was moving experience and definitely a highlight.

INCREDIBLE ... you do not want to miss out on this place! My bf and I stayed 5 nights and 6 days and it wasn't enough.. Although you may be intimidated on the effort to get there.. It is well worth it and the boat rides/ planes/ car drives depending on what you choose... Are part of the beautiful experience.. Do note, if you get the all inclusive meals and drinks this does not include soda or espresso. we did not realize that until about the bill came. LOL

We had a wonderful honeymoon at the Remote Resort. The location is incredible, with a broad ocean view and well kept tropical grounds. The staff hospitality was truly wonderful, we felt truly taken care of and looked after. The food was amazing, with beautiful outdoor locations for dinner. The snorkel, kayak, and village visit experiences were well planned and highlights of our trip. Thanks so much to the entire Remote Resort staff for an unforgettable experience!

wow wow wow I have been to a lot of remote places with very high service values this wins the prize: the location, the beautiful food, and multiple reef experiences in all different conditions is exceptional. The staff make you feel like you are a part of their family... Incredible! Everything is described on their website is 100% spot on. The vision for this resort is on point. Highly recommend coming here...from a person that has travelled the world multiple times. Well done The Remote Resort, the owners, the team, the village, the people... keep doing what you're doing. We loved our stay. Vinaka.

My family (husband and daughter aged 14) were lucky enough to stay here for 8 nights and wished we could have stayed so much longer. The rooms overlook the ocean and the outdoor showers and pool made it comfortable enough not to even have to leave one’s room. The service was impeccable. Not only did they cater for our needs without any issue, they did so in a genuine and non intrusive manner. They were friendly and went out of their way to help us out whether that be holding the boat for us while they ran and got us sunscreen we had forgotten, to not giving up searching for the elusive mantra rays on the day of our tour. These are just two examples but you get the idea! Location is remote, but you are rewarded for your effort to get there with a reef right off the jetty of the hotel and close proximity to the spectacular Rainbow Reef. Colours galore! Out the back of their resort is a peaceful lagoon which you can kayak. If you do, make sure you check out the mangroves there -they were a highlight. The food was varied and delicious. To be able to eat under the stars perched on the end of a softly lit jetty with water lapping around us was magic. There is limited WiFi but it is easily available in the main bar and restaurant area. To be honest, I was worried travelling with a teenager that this would be a major issue, but it truly wasn’t. There was so much to do - snorkelling, swimming, kayaking, day excursions to the village ( and as a bonus, the local footy tournament!) and to waterfalls and natural water slides that everyone was ready for bed by 8pm! We immensely enjoyed being away from our devices so we could relax completely. A perfect getaway, Vinaka to everyone at The Remote Resort.

We have the most incredible stay at the remote resort for our honeymoon. The location is magical, surrounded by jungle plants and flowers and with a huge coral reef stretching along the shore in front of the resort for endless snorkeling and diving opportunities. The reef was super healthy and alive with life which is a testament to the efforts Fiji and the surrounding communities have made to preserve their natural wonders! We had a life-changing experience learning how to scuba dive with the amazing remote resort dive team. We received patient, personalized instruction and felt 100% safe and well cared for the whole time. This is definitely the best place in the world to learn how to dive (or to visit if you already know how to dive and want to see some incredible underwater life!) The remote resort staff are wonderful and truly make you feel at home. The food will be memorable for a lifetime. One day when we were sitting on the restaurant patio we saw a fisherman arrive with fresh catch for our dinner! It doesn't get better than that. Every villa has an ocean view and lots of great spots to snuggle up with a book or just take in the surrounding beauty. We are already dreaming of the day when we can return to the remote resort!!

The Remote Resort is the most amazing boutique resort and best Fiji experience in every way! The beautiful, crystal clear waters of the South Pacific Ocean meet the lush tropical rainforest of Fiji’s northern islands and just minutes from the world renowned Rainbow Reef. We’ve been travelling to Fiji for over a decade now but this was our first trip to Vanua Levu and I can’t recommend The Remote Resort highly enough! We stayed in the Royal Retreat which offers complete privacy and luxury with stunning views of both the water and rainforest. The house reef is spectacular and easily visible from the long jetty, which also has steps at the end for easy access for swimming and snorkelling. Everything has been thought of for your stay and you’ll want for nothing. The lengths the staff go to in order to make your stay absolutely perfect is nothing short of amazing. Nothing is too much trouble and everything is done with great attention to detail and so much happiness. We really felt like royalty the whole time.

We live in Fiji and have stayed at many resorts but this is one of our absolute favourites. The location is stunning, beautiful views everywhere you go. The staff are wonderful and the food is some of the best we’ve had in Fiji. A perfect place to relax.

We stayed here for our honeymoon for 9 days and we couldn't have asked for a more perfect honeymoon. Everything was beyond our expectations! The staff was absolutely incredible and everyone knew us both by name! They went out of their way to make sure we had a great experience and had everything we could want. The resort/property was absolutely beautiful, which you can see by the pictures. I honestly wasn't expecting a lot from a 'house reef' but honestly, the reef at the resort was wonderful! So many fish, coral, and the water is completely clear. You could spend hours snorkeling right there. The food was impeccable and the chef prepared different things every day for lunch/dinner. We more than likely gained weight while we were there since I helped myself to dessert every single night lol. It was just too tempting to pass up anything. Our villa was wonderful and we had a great view of the jetty and the beach right from our pool/balcony. There's also soooo much to do, it's impossible to be bored here! From snorkeling, to kayaking/paddleboards, to diving, to planned daily excursions to Taveuni, the Rainbow Reef, village visits, etc. There's no shortage of things to do and see here. It's a little bit of a trip to get to this place, hence 'remote', but it's entirely worth it. We've never had a better experience at any resort we've ever been to. If you're thinking of going here, I'm telling you do it. You will not be disappointed! Thank you so much to all the staff at The Remote Resort that truly made this trip unforgettable for us. We will definitely be back in the future!

We came here for our honeymoon and loved it. Absolutely beautiful resort and the staff is wonderful. We enjoyed snorkeling and the hike to the peak. The food was delicious and I'm thankful that they were able to accommodate my gluten allergy. Everything was perfect. The only thing I would change is the drink package, I was thinking I'd be able to get margaritas or sweeter alcoholic drinks everyday.
