As
you
enter
the
park
from
the
south
through
the
town
of
Springdale
you
can
see
the
Watchman
behind
the
visitor
center.
One
of
the
two
campsites
in
the
park
is
right
next
to
the
trailhead
for
the
Watchmen
which
is
an
easy
2
mile
hike
that
takes
you
closer
to
the
mountain
base.
We
are
hoping
to
be
able
to
stay
here
next
time
around
to
avoid
the
morning
rush
coming
in.
Despite
the
mountain
being
outside
the
main
canyon
it
is
still
such
an
iconic
part
of
the
park.
From
the
parking
lot
of
the
visitor
center
you
can
easily
photograph
it
but
the
most
popular
shot
of
the
peak
is
from
the
canyon
junction
bridge.
This
point
shows
the
Virgin
River
flowing
from
the
canyon
with
the
Watchman
off
to
the
side.
To
get
this
shot,
get
off
at
stop
3
Canyon
Junction
and
walk
over
to
the
bridge
to
photograph
it
from
there.
Unfortunately
the
conditions
werenβt
ideal
when
we
went
so
we
couldnβt
get
a
good
photo
from
this
location
but
really
enjoyed
the
other
ones
we
did
get.
This
stop
is
the
furthest
that
you
can
also
get
to
with
your
own
vehicle.
It
is
the
point
at
which
the
south
and
east
entrances
to
the
park
meet
at
the
intersection
where
the
shuttle
continues
into
the
main
canyon.
There
are
a
few
parking
spaces
near
the
bridge
but
by
the
time
we
came
into
the
park
they
were
already
full.
During
the
busier
months
I
can
imagine
this
location
is
very
popular
especially
close
to
sunset.
Since
this
bridge
is
not
meant
for
pedestrians
we
suggest
getting
there
early
to
get
a
good
spot
and
avoid
being
crammed
in!
