I really enjoyed my experience. I went wanting to learn more about my calling. I learned a lot more than I expected and the leaders were well informed and patient. I recommend everyone in a family history calling attend!

The posted hours are until 9 pm, but, they push us to leave starting at about 8:40. One of the workers said, "We have been here longer than you." Seemed like a passive aggressive way to say something. They turned off the lights, and as we were walking out, we saw one poor patron was literally sitting in the dark at a computer. They really need to update their hours to indicate that it closes at 8:45 pm.

This place is fantastic! It's hard to believe that they spent so much time with me. It wasn't just the time, they have experts who will help dive deep into family history and give you an amazing experience as you learn about your ancestors. I can't enough good about the help I recieved.

Volunteers available to provide assistance with your research. Also, in addition to photocopiers, there is equipment to transfer your family movies from VHS to DVD and audio cassette to current media. There is a special room equipped to record your calls to family members to get their voices on tape. And more!

Had tour. They have ways to digitize your pictures, slides, home movies, etc. Someone helps you get started then you do your own. Also had a class on how to do Family Search.

I LOVE the services available to me at the Layton Utah Family Search Center!! I can use the scanners & various video recording devices. Everyone is so helpful each time I visit and they happily help assist with my projects. I’m slowly getting all of my old VHS tapes & home videos transferred over digitally. They’ve got just about everything you need to work on your family history & various projects..and it’s all FREE!! Plenty of parking and super easy to schedule appointments online. I recommend you check them out!

Wonderful equipment and knowledgeable, pleasant volunteers make this Center a Treasure. Clean and bright, with easy-to-make reservations. Many thanks to those who provide and make these resources available to us. I go here whenever I visit from out of state.
