I stayed both here and Hostel Cafe Koti while I was in Rovaniemi, so I will compare them. I like this hostel more though. You can tell the manager really cares about this place. COMMON AREAS I was half-working remote and the common area was just wonderful. I fell in love the moment I stepped in. I was so productive on the giant couch thing. I also was so comfy working in bed. Hostel Koti... the cafe was great downstairs to hang out, but it was closed after 5. The hostel common area/kitchen was OK and I met some people, but just a bit boring. BEDS Most comfortable bed and pillow I've ever had in a hostel. Koti's bed was like a cot. Wherever Hostel wins this one too. KITCHEN Both were fine but I liked Wherever's kitchen more, and lots more goodies. It was also super clean. CLEANLINESS Both were clean enough. But in Koti's, I could smell the pipes in some bathrooms. Gross. Wherever Hostel took cleanliness to another level. I would constantly see the manager in the daytime even pick up the littlest things off the floor. This may be unfair comparison b/c Koti is way bigger, but it is what it is. LOCATION Okay, this one is hard. I think I liked Koti's slightly better because it was closer to the river. But Wherever Hostel is closer to the train station, main mall, my fav restaurant, and a block away from the best bike shop in town. Still was only a 5min walk to the river. HOWEVER - something I noticed is that Wherever Hostel seems to be on a common route for late-night bar-goers from the university. Since the hostel is on the ground floor, sometimes you could hear them at night. Not close to a bar though so it only ever lasted 1-2 seconds at a time. Also Wherever has the BEST SHOWER i've ever had in a hostel. There are also so many shampoos out for everyone to use.

I booked this hostel via booking.com, it was cheap and looks like a decent stay. Before I arrive they had sent me a message with proper guidelines for getting into the room and usage. You wouldn’t believe I haven’t met any receptionist or in charger for the stay during my stay. The dorm, living room, kitchen and bathroom all are neat and well maintained. I would highly recommend this place for a pleasant stay.

Had the best time ever here. Alisa is the best! Met so many great people here. Beds are good, cooking supplies are good. Shower is amazing. All in all one of the best hostels i've been at! Wish i made more pics of the hostel, the pics i made were the only ones i made haha

Honestly, my visit to Rovaniemi would not have been the same without Elisa and Nikita. They are pending to the last detail so that your stay is perfect. I will recommend you to all my friends

Extremely good hostel with the most helpful people.On my way out,i accidentally left a piece of luggage back and i only realised it once i reached the railway station. The lady in the hostel drove over to the station in the freezing cold and gave me my luggage.I would recommend the hostel to anyone and will definitely return if i visit once more.

Little creepy hostel. Why creepy? You can find pieces of hands lying around here and there in the hostel. In the glass jar on the table or above the mysterious suitcases in the hall. This can freak a weak hearted traveler. On top of that, the place is staffed only for a limited time during the day. During those two days, I was the only one staying there. I had the hostel all to myself. Just loved the place and will definitely recommend it. At walking distance from the bus stand, railway station and city center.

The best hostel I ever been to. Staff is very helpful, beds are enough comfortable, fully equipped kitchen and nice bathroom. I met many travelers and we had a nice dinner together. I would love stay again here!

Living room and toilet/shower are comfortable. But entire environment is small. Staying at family room at the basement, large room and well equipped, but its right below the kitchen so a bit weird.

It was very cozy place and full of colors. Very clean and comfortable. I used everything from the kitchen even some pasta. It is near to city center, 5min to shoping mall, 15min train station and 8min to bus station. The only problem was the late check in after 15.00 but very ease to do it

Great position and location. The hostel is incredibly nice and different at the same time. I ve found the living room absolutely beautiful and well made.

Nice common room and the toilet and shower are really nice. Sleeping area not very pretty but conviennent. Close to the center.

Extremely well equipped hostel with everything you’ll need, kitchen, breakfast food and drinks! Upper bunk beds can be a little wobbly though
