Lovely beach with lots of things to do. Very very busy especially during the hot days in Helsinki. They have cafe, open air gym area, beach volleyball courts, kids swings etc. They have lifeguards on duty and they keep announcing reminders about keeping people safe for example when the supervision area is being shortened, not to feed the ducks, updates on toilets closing times, reminder to use suncreams, high UV rays etc. They have free of cost public toilets and showers too. Take plenty of water and food with you especially when you are visiting with kids.

Sand, water, palm trees and good weather - what else is needed for a wonderful pastime. Clean and tidy, beautiful beach. An interesting place for the festival

This beach is an extremely peaceful place to walk in the morning! It is gorgeous even in the fall!

A popular destination for local and tourist to swim in summer time. In summer it really crowded in weekends. The beach is really clean and well maintained. A good place to play beach volleyball, jogging and swimming. Located on walkable distance from kamppi.

Cute beach. Interesting to go during winter, when it's really frozen you can walk on the sea (warning it's still dangerous !). Calm place.

Aina kyllä hyvä uida, helsingin parhain hiekkapohja. Nyt oli tuulinen sää, joten hiekkamyrskyltä ei vältytty. Helsingin paras uimaranta kuitenkin.

Public toilets are closed on the beach. These are close to a cafe Hietsu. The cafe requires to pay 2 euros!!! to visit their toilets. Could be better...

Splendid place to spend the day, 20min from the city center. Particularly beautiful during the sunset as the sun sets right in front!

Lovely beach, quite crowded in the summer!

We went at 9.30 pm and stayed for an hour - it had been a relatively cold day so it was pretty empty! We sat and watched the sunset - very enjoyable!

There could be more toilets and showers.

This beach is kinda overrated, there are better beaches in Helsinki and Espoo. Sand is not the best, you can never really find a good looking place to sit or lie down. Volleyball is great though

Very nice beach. However, dear visitors if you are reading this.. why do you leave cigarettes, plastic-, paper bags, (used) napkins, cups, food containers on the beach? What goes on in your minds? How sick are you when you are doing this? Other than this, really nice beach 😎

Nice beach (was quite crowded at 19:45 on a Monday). Could use more loos and showers. Watch out for all the goose poop, though! It was absolutely everywhere.

Nice place to chill in a warm day. We haven't been in the water there but the kids were definetly having fun.
