Another review I'm afraid to do because once the secret is out, it may fill up too fast for another visit! What an absolutely fantastic hotel! I'll put it this way, my child wrote about it on his back to school essay and wants to go back! Needless to say, it made an impression on all of us! The beds were the most comfortable I've had while staying in a hotel! The bedding was so excellent I wrote and asked the brand so I could buy it for home! The room was gorgeous and cleaned spotless each day! The food, oh my! The breakfast selections are AMAZING and the selections were plentiful to meet every palate! The staff were the most friendly and helpful we've encountered! I highly recommend this hotel! Plus, there is a market two blocks away for waters and snacks while you are out exploring. The hotel is perfectly located within walking distance to so much and public transportation is close by for things further in the city.

I had a very enjoyable stay for a vacation. The standouts are the location, the food, and the people. It is located close to the old market hall (giving you very good food options) and the ferry lines to Suomenlinna. Helsinki itself is pretty small so all the fashionable districts are in easy walking distance. The restaurant at the hotel is surprisingly good. For example, while the continental breakfast serves what you'd normally expect, the quality of the bread, the sausage, the smoothies, and just each of the dishes are very high.

I always feel very welcome in this hotel. After flying for 12 hours I woke up at 4 o’clock in the morning looking for a cuppa coffee. I went down to the front desk and had a cup of coffee within 10 minutes. The rooms are fabulous the sauna is great, the food is good the location is ideal as with any property it’s the staff that makes the best

This hotel is overall quite good. The rooms are very nice and clean. Housekeeping services are great. It’s a quite expensive hotel, but it has been very enjoyable. The restaurant stays open until 23, but keep in mind that the kitchen actually closes at 22. During the very beginning of my stay, I had some concerns with the front desk (didn't feel valued during one of my interactions) and some concerns with hotel ammenities, but these were explained and resolved by the hotel leadership in a very kind way. After the first couple days of the stay, I realized the the hotel does genuenly care about guests and tries to go above and beyond to provide a good experience. I was surprised to find that the hotel managemnt really does care to make sure guests have a good experience here. I stay at quite a lot of hotels and at many of these, it seems that hotel staff is quite superficial and doesn't genuinly put an effort to make a guest's experience great, but this is not the case at U14. I am offered quite friendly/good service each day here. I am using the gym and sauna nearly daily and have really enjoyed these ammenities during my stay, espeically the sauna is very nice.

Exceptional service. Delicious and novel breakfast buffet. Mixologists are wonderful at the hotel bar, try their seasonal original flavours.

1. Fantastic location, unbeatable access to market square, Tram 2,3 and to esplanade area. The outside of the hotel is not impressive but the inside is a while different deal. Very chic & elegant. 2. Unbelievable service and friendliness of staff. Always a smile and very helpful. 3. Great rooms, comfortable beds, blackout curtains (to beat the midnight sun!) 4. Very nice sauna that's open daily 6-10 pm. Used it every day i was there 5. Very good buffet breakfast every morning. I am truly impressed with this hotel - glad they are part of Marriott Bonvoy.

This is a great hotel if you are looking for comfort and a great location for your trip to Helsinki. The hotel has a very modern design and rooms are nice big. It is also within 10 minutes of walking distance from all of the major attractions in the city. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a place to stay in Helsinki.

Very discreet and fancy hotel. One of the best brunches in Helsinki is served at this place. I recommend it for couples or if you want so simply relax. Unfortunately not for children. They’ll be bored there.

I’m so impressed on the kindness and attention level of all the personnel. Thanks a lot for made my stay so amazing. Rooms are spacious enough, warm, mattress and pillows are comfortable. Premium amenity products, including robe and slippers; breakfast buffet service is good and varied. Wifi is fast and basically all in this hotel is enjoyable and exceed expectations. They could call a taxi service for you if required and receive your delivery food if necessary. The masterpiece clock at front desk is besides expensive so beautiful to see.

What a wonderful hotel! Incredible modern while conveying a cozy feeling throughout. I had a beautiful corner room overlooking the ships coming in and out of port. The staff is friendly and helpful - a special mention to Jani who gave some great recommendations. The breakfast buffet is in a beautiful setting and has a wide range of international classics and local Finnish specialties. Location is perfect too - walking distance to the main squares of the city.

Aamiainen hyvä ja kattava, paljon tuoreita marjoja ja hedelmiä. Viikonloppuina on pidennetty aamiainen-brunssi. Kuntosali löytyy. Saunatilat ovat unisex, se on pieni miinus mielestäni.

This is a stylish and modern hotel located in the heart of Helsinki. It's the perfect base for exploring the city's many attractions and waterfront. There’s even a scooter rental stand just outside so you can cover more ground if you want. The hotel has a unique and quirky design, inspired by the Moomin. This is reflected in the hotel's branding, artwork, and even the furniture. Don’t worry if you don’t know what a Moomin is, I didn’t either. Google it. The rooms are spacious with everything you need for a comfortable stay. The beds are incredibly comfortable, and the bathrooms are modern and stylish. The hotel also has other features, including a restaurant, a bar, a gym, and a sauna. The restaurant serves delicious food, and the bar is a great place to relax and unwind after a long day. The staff was very friendly and provided great service. All the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. They went out of their way to make sure we had a memorable stay. Overall, I highly recommend this location to anyone looking for a stylish and comfortable hotel in Helsinki. It's the perfect place to stay for a business trip or a leisure vacation.

Fantastic hotel with very well kept rooms and common areas. Has a nice bar area which you can easily work from. Rooms are spacious, clean and have most things you need. Shame the view from ours was not great but you cannot have it all right Staff were all extremely friendly and on hand with any questions you have. Location wise is a short walk to the city centre and a stone's throw from the main Market Square.

Solid place in a good spot. No issues to speak of and would be happy to book here again on return trips. Of the three other places I've stayed in Finland, this one is my favorite.

This place was amazing, wish we could have stayed longer. It’s in a beautiful location, walking distance to the cool cathedrals and the port. The staff are amazing, very polite and accommodating, all of them spoke English, which was also very helpful. The rooms are very nice, super comfortable…no complaints whatsoever.

I can say that the best of the hotel is the service. The front desk man who make our check inn was so kind. Great service and gave us tips for getting to know the city and places to eat. So good experience. The room was good. And the location was really good and fast to get to now all the tourist places in Helsinki.

Had a great stay here. Perfect location close to all the sights in Helsinki and well-designed rooms w/ relatively good sound isolation and comfy beds. Breakfast was solid if a bit monotonous over a 3-night stay. Decent gym. Great recognition as a plat w/ late checkout offered proactively, a welcome bonus offered on top of breakfast and a great upgrade. Tatiana at check-in was a superstar - a real asset to the hotel.

Great location, clean rooms, and friendly staff! We enjoyed our stay at Hotel U14 and especially appreciated the location and it's proximity to a lot of sights within walking distance - including restaurants and bars. The city tram stop is also just across the street. The rooms were nice and had a modern look and feel. My Marriott status was recognized and we were given a complimentary breakfast as part of our stay, which was a delicious breakfast buffet with a variety of choices. I would definitely stay here again!

Charming, modern hotel in a convenient location close to the waterfront. Checkin was fast and friendly, the room was colorful and comfortable with a luxury feel, and breakfast was high quality featuring international classics and Finnish favorites. Fast internet, plentiful English, and extremely professional staff made this very clean hotel an excellent place to stay. Will definitely choose U14 again on my next trip to Helsinki.

I love this hotel, everything is perfect here. The rooms are so confortable and always clean, all the staff is super gentle and nice. The breakfast is in my opinion the best, talking about other hotels,is fresh and good quality, and the weekends brunch is one of the best in town.

Best hotel bed I’ve EVER slept in. Amazing bathrobes. Awesome facilities including a solid gym, a sauna and one of those cool water buckets you can pull a rope to douse yourself with between rounds. Breakfast buffet is awesome and goes all the way until 2pm on weekends. And last but definitely not least, the staff are super, duper helpful, friendly, attentive, resourceful, creative and professional. This was an incredibly good experience and I would love to come back as soon as possible.

The front desk staff (lisa and tonya are better than any concierge…kudos!) is some of the best I've ever experienced. The breakfast buffet is literally a smorgasbord of everything you can imagine. The Sunday breakfast is even more elaborate. The gym is first class with free weights. The sauna and cold bucket finish is worth a try. Everything was perfect

Taking into consideration that this is only a four star hotel I have given it a five stars rating. The hotel is in a great location near tourist attractions, transport links, shops and restaurants all only a small walk. The breakfast is really good with both a cooked option and more healthy options including fresh fruit, it doesn’t have an omelette bar but it is only 4 star. Rooms are nice and bed comfortable. The staff are really good and will help in anyway they can to please the customer. Small beautiful boutique hotel.

We had a really nice stay at this perfectly located place. It is quite contemporary for a hotel of this standard. The room was a cozy and well appointed. Exceptionally clean with good quality bed linen and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was OK. Staff very attentive making sure we were ok all the time. We'll definitely be returning.

Hotel U14 in the heart of Helsinki's city center has an urban pulse combined with a very peaceful setting in Helsinki's Kartinkaupunki area. Located next to Kasarmintori with its abundance of summer restaurants and the famous Kaaröe XII night club a mere 200m away this is as classic a setting as you can get in Helsinki. 100m in the other direction lies the old market hall and the main square just by the sea. The hotel is very modern yet comfortable and has the highest possible standards. The breakfast is world class. The egg menu outstanding. And the drinks in the very cozy lobby bar are well mixed and powerful. This is one of the latest additions to the Helsinki hotel scene. Don't miss a visit.

This hotel is very well located in Helsinki and within walking distance of transport links and many restaurants and shops. The nearest tram stop (Eteläranta) is 100m from the hotels entrance with teams at regular intervals throughout the day. The check-in was seamless and the staff were very courteous. The room was spacious, very clean and very quiet. The TV is the biggest I have seen in a hotel room. The mini bar had a good selection of items as well as ample space for my own drinks and snacks which was fantastic as this is a rarity in hotels nowadays. I made a small request regarding breakfast and the staff were very accommodating. The breakfast was fantastic and the fruit in particular was very fresh and tasty. The level of customer service I experienced at this hotel was truly world class. The staff care about the guests and they are a credit to this hotel. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone thinking of staying in Helsinki. .

Exceptional hotel with perfect location and world-class amenities! We stayed at Hotel U14 as a result of our original reservation at a sister property being cancelled. Our lucky day! Our stay was exceptional. From the moment we checked in to when we boarded our onward Ferry to Tallinn, we reveled in how amazing our stay here was. Rooms are intelligently laid out with the most comfortable beds in the world, not to mention cute, gimmicky decor that gave the room some character. Amenities are where the hotel really shines. The gym is spacious and well-appointed with free weights and a few machines. The hidden gem is the traditional Finnish sauna with nearby cold-water ice buckets. My partner and I had a thoroughly relaxing evening using both. Breakfast is served at the restaurant within the hotel. Amazing, delectable food. Plenty of options to satisfy those looking for a traditional Finnish breakfast OR a more 'American' meal. Was impressed with the breadth of vegan options, too (staff happy to prepare special ingredients upon request). Overall, we couldn't have been happier. Hotel U14 is phenomenal!

Great location right by your harbour. Rooms had all the amenities we’d expect. The breakfast buffet was spectacular at Restaurant VERSION downstairs. Easy access within walking distance to let highlights like the Escape Room Helsinki , and the best restaurant on earth, Restaurant Caverna. Friendly staff greeted our first visit to this Marriott hotel, and ensured everything we had everything we needed for the weekend. Comfortable beds, bedding and pillows - everything good we’ve come to expect from Marriott.

Very nice hotel in central location both close to the city center and market by the water. Rooms were nice and modern. We were upgraded but the bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was spacious. The towels and slippers were especially cute. There was also a small gym and sauna, which we briefly used.

This is a wonderful property. Friendly and helpful staff. The entire property is warmly decorated and rooms are incredibly approachable and beyond comfortable. I received a great upgrade as a Titanium member upon check-in. The breakfast had great variety and was high quality. This will be my go-to hotel upon returning to Helsinki.

Almost perfect hotel in the city center. The only problems I had were weirdly placed TV, in the corner of the bedroom so you had to watch it from the bed looking to one side. Then the air conditioning reset once a day to 21 degrees and which was strange. If you start feeling a bit cold make sure to check it! Otherwise, the room was spacious and the amenities were good. Very pleasant hotel staff. The room was quiet and the bed comfortable. There's a coffee machine but it's a Lavazza, not nespresso, the capsules are not compatible.

Located near Harbour you'll find this very comfortable Hotel. Superb on both staff friendliness and rooms you'll find visit on this hotel extremely enjoyable 🤩. Tasty and plentifull breakfast is there to complete your experience. Big recommendation.

Great location, just 1-2 blocks away from the harbour where every tourists visit when in town. The design of the hotel is modern, practical, fun and chic. This is also a rather new hotel, opened just in 2020. Beautiful furniture, decors and very spacious rooms. If u like modern finnish design, then u will appreciate this hotel a lot. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Thank you to the 3 front desks staff who made my stay such a great and memorable one - Errki, Lisa & Hamza, u guys a amazing. Breakfast was great, with some popular breakfast items + traditional finnish dishes. I had a fun time in the restaurant here, thank you to the 3 ladies to make my morning a great start of the day everyday - Inka, Moonie & Annika! Amazing hotel! Great location, comfortable and spacious rooms, above and beyond service. I cannot recommend them enough! Their breakfast is perfect-- definitely try the blueberry juice! I had to check out for an early morning flight and they made me a breakfast to go. Great staff, great rooms, great location!

A concerted effort was made to create a fancy new trendy atmosphere, regrettably it seems that's where almost all of their effort went. The rooms while not uncomfortable still seem dysfunctional, from lamps that don't respond to the switches labelled lamp clear through to the 40cm x 40cm cubby in the shower (not the shower just a weird space they apparently had nothing useful to do with so they added it to the shower), topping it off with automated lights in the WC that you can't turn off...
