2022 06 Sandwiches are the best around. Was a locals secret spot. So be prepared to wait bc they are worth it. Call ahead your order by phone is the best way to do this. Don't forget the beverage. Hope they open up the store inside soon.

This has been my go-to spot for so long. I ate here in high school after school or practice. I absolutely love this place! Service is always great and it is exciting to see the inside has opened up again. I get the Deli Club every time, it never lets me down! Every time I am back in Tacoma I have to stop by for a sandwich.

Been here three times now. I don't get the appeal. Always a 20 to 30 minute wait. Food is just okay. The cheese steak was the best of the three sandwiches we tried this time. By any measure it was not good for a cheese steak. Id recommend going somewhere else but please no chains! Support local business.

Friendly staff and they let you know you’ll age somewhere between 20-40 minutes while waiting for your sandwich. But they ask you to confirm before paying which is great. The sandwiches are tasty and the bread is softer than my fat belly. There’s also usually some interesting/cool cars when I make my way down.

I have been a long time customer and came in last week for the first time in a while and was SO, SO disappointed when I bit into my Mikes Deluxe to discover they changed the bread!! The French bread used to be my very favorite part- it was the magic! The new bread is squished, dry and crumbly and honestly it ruined the sandwich for me. I gave it two stars because the rest of the sandwich was still ok, but I can’t understand why you would change something that was absolutely not broken. I’m super disappointed and probably won’t be back. The end of an era. 😭😭

Friendly, helpful staff. The sandwiches we ordered were very good. Order and pay at the window and they bring it to your car. Will be back next time I am in the area.

We love MSM, it’s a Tacoma staple for sure. We get the Mike’s Deluxe with everything on it and it’s absolutely delicious. The bread is phenomenal. I also love the magic cookie, yum! The only negative is that sometimes I have to call over and over again to place a pick up order (definitely call ahead because otherwise it can be a wait), but that doesn’t bother me enough to remove a star. We will continue to patronize this establishment simply for the high-quality, delicious sandwiches that even my 7 year old devours.

This place is amazing! They just updated their inside floor plan to focus more on sandwiches vs convenient store items.

It's our go to sandwich shop and the cookies are amazing. We'll drive almost 40 minutes away to grab a Sammie here. All are good. A change of pace is the Catch of the Day. The smallest sandwich is more than enough for one person.

I have been going to msm for sooo long and it's usually delish. I tried something new, just a corned beef on bread with mustard. There was like one slice of corned beef! What the heck. So expensive for such a bad sandwich. All I taste is bread.

MSM checks all the boxes: delicious sandwiches, large portions, friendly service, parking, and doesn't break the bank. So glad I called in my order at the suggestion of other reviews, as the wait was around 20 minutes on a Monday at lunchtime. The Genoa Salami was delicious and I'm looking forward to trying the others!

Msm is the best sandwich shop in the area, amazing sandwiches that I can’t recommend enough! I highly recommend calling ahead, bc these masterpieces take time to craft. I always go with a Mikes Deluxe, Toasted, everything on it and a cookie on the side. Can not recommend that enough, especially their cookies! At one point me and my ex would come here at least once a week, it never disappoints and always leaves you feeling full and happy!

I wanted to order a gyro, they told me they were all out. I then ordered the Cuban, waited 15 minutes and then was told they were all out as well. I wanted to give them one more try so I ordered the bbc, 40+ minutes later I was still waiting. When I went to the counter, I was told my sandwich was just getting started. I had to get back to work so I requested a refund instead. No way of calling in an order due to their number not working and no way to order online. For anyone on their lunch break, this is not the place for you.

Crazy good sandwiches! Great value for what you actually get. If you are a first timer, don't get sticker shock from their prices. The sandwiches are HUGE! You might need to wait a bit for your sandwich to come out, but that's because they are so good that they are just busy.

This is by far the best sandwich joint in all of Tacoma. I would put Harbor Greens as a very close second but that technically is in University Place and Gig Harbor. All of the sandwiches are made fresh with some of the best ingredients in town. The workers truly care and you could tell management cares as well. I highly recommend the French dip, even the Veggie, and obviously Mike's. This is the kind of place where you order to support and buy local and you always end up tipping more than you'd expect at any deli because you just want to make sure it's here for decades to come.

The portions are so huge that I share 1/2 with a friend or save it for later. My favorite sandwich is the baby shrimp sandwich! I don’t know any other restaurant that serves this sandwich and it feels light and fresh, not heavy on mayo either. It’s a nice change if your always getting a ham or Turkey or roast beef sandwich during lunch. Give it a try

Oh man, called in a club on a Saturday afternoon and was told it was going to be ready in 10 minutes! I was shocked! When I pulled up the parking lot was packed, but I got to slide to the call ahead side and I was outta there within a few minutes. The cashier was super nice too, and so was the person who took my order. 10 outta 10 would recommend!!! The sandwich was soooo delicious as always l!

We went on a slow Tuesday afternoon. The cashier was friendly and patient. We ordered the Cuban and the Mike's deluxe and 2 bottled soft drinks about $32.00. The Cuban was a vile, soggy, nasty mess. The bread should have been toasted. Instead, it was soaked in mustard and very doughy tasting. The Mike's deluxe was average. You would think the "signature" sandwich would be something special, but no. We sat in a dimly lit back area that was dirty and old and had their mop bucket and cleaning supplies right out in the open. A great place for children to get their hands on some cleaning chemicals. The service was terribly slow, taking nearly 20 minutes to get 2 sandwiches with nobody in front of us at the counter. The owner should be ashamed of how this dump is run. Take some pride in your business or sell it to someone who cares.

Didn’t even know this place was a deli but it is and you should definitely stop by! It’s a steadily flow of customer traffic going in and out and still plenty of parking. It’s an old school deli! I think they have 2 or 3 tables on the side where you walk in. A counter to order and a pick up area. You can see them preparing your food too. It’s a whole back wall full of ALL the chips you could possibly want and a fridge wall to the right full of ALL the drinks you could possibly want. Behind the counter where you order is another fridge wall with ALL the beer you could possibly want. It would be very hard to walk out of there without having put together the best sandwich + chip + drink combo for your taste buds. Very hard. The menu has a lot of options to choose from, cold sandwiches and hot sandwiches and pitas and salads. They even have soups. I was having a hard time deciding on what to get so I just picked one because after smelling the smells I already decided that i would be back to try something else another time. Placed my order and got a number and after a short wait they had my food ready to go. The bag was heavy. Them damn sandwiches were like little newborn babies all bundled up warm and ready to go. Bag smelled so good I wanted to eat it in the car but I fought the temptation and drove home. Sorry the pictures aren’t that great but the sandwiches sure were. I’m not going to do a breakdown of the sandwiches yet because I want to go back and try more. 11/26 An update will be coming soon!

The Sublime Sandwiches of MSM Deli – Tacoma's Toast of the Town! There's an old saying that the best things come in simple packages, and nowhere is this truer than at MSM Deli, a local culinary gem nestled in the heart of Tacoma. It's clear that the magic lies not in ostentatious decor, but in the simple authenticity of the place. The staff greets you warmly, and there's a palpable sense of community that's heartening to witness. Let's get down to the real star of the show: the sandwiches. Expertly constructed, these culinary masterpieces exhibit a perfect balance of flavor, texture, and freshness. Whether you're a die-hard fan of the classic Italian sub, or you're venturing into the bold territory of their pepper steak sandwich, each bite is an experience in itself. The bread, always fresh and perfectly toasted, adds a crunchy element that contrasts exquisitely with the generous, high-quality fillings. A standout is their famous Mike's Deluxe Sandwich. Overflowing with a medley of meats, cheese, and just the right amount of veggies, it's a deli delight that tantalizes your taste buds while also satisfying the most voracious of appetites. The sandwich, just like all others at MSM, is consistently superb - a testament to their unwavering commitment to maintaining the highest standards. MSM Deli - where every sandwich is a celebration of flavor and a testament to the true art of sandwich-making. Your taste buds will thank you!

Love MSM Deli! My only problem is, they are so popular that I have to call a good 15 times before I get through to pre-order. I made the mistake of showing up to order in-person, and was told it would be a 45-minute wait. So I left and went to Subway down the street. MSM makes the best sandwiches, but with a 6 year old in tow, I couldn't wait 45 minutes.

This place has the best deli subs and soups I've ever had. Rivals classic delis in NYC, FIGHT ME ON THIS!!! Their name is Magical Sandwich Makers. They REALLY live up to this name! My favorites are the Philly Cheesesteak and the Deli club. Solid chicken noodle soup if its available (different soup each day.) It's a local secret. If you're in the know, then you know how incredible this place is. When you call, it will be busy. Keep calling till it rings. It'll save you 20-30 minutes waiting in the parking lot. One of the best places to eat on 6th Ave, maybe even Tacoma. Trust me, it's worth it.

Amazing sandwiches, Cons- They are a little dry as they normally don’t load em with condiments and they are a little costly.I would ask for condiments if u a condiment kind of person. Outside of that the sandwiches are superb they are pretty decent and big in size and filling. I love this place! If I had the money I’d be here daily!

This is our go to for sandwiches, soups, cookies! The Philly is amazing! The club is as well! So what if they buy their bread? Subways bread comes frozen. Definitely recommend calling your order in or ordering online! They can get super backed up but still do amazing at making orders!

Absolutely delicious place. Highly recommended, calling ahead is always a must unless you don't mind chillin in your car for 20-40 minutes. Only thing for me personally is they changed their pickles and I'm not sure why because they are thick and have a gross flavor But other than that 5 stars, absolutely fantastic 👏 👌

Been coming here for years and this was my first negative experience. I ordered a mikes deluxe no tomatoes or roast beef with extra turkey. Normally the sandwich has lots of meat so im a little confused as to what happens here. Drive 30 minutes to get this.

MUST get the Reuben, deli style. Absolutely brilliant. The service was sweet, they even brought the sandwich out to the car! We went back and got a second one afterwards!
