["Was looking for a comfortable somewhat private retreat in the very busy Fire Island Pines and found it here at Pine Bluffs. Our suite was Apartment A. Clean, quiet, comfortable bed, air conditioned, Cable TV, great rainhead shower. However, the best part of this spot is the upstairs pool area and the roof deck with a hot tub and excellent views of the Atlantic. Continental breakfast was well conceived and the all day snacks and wine at cocktail hour a welcome addition to the amenities for this place. We found ourselves at loose ends on our 26th anniversary but we fell into a gold mine with this lovely hotel. It is so beautifully designed and everything was scrupulously clean and welcoming. It was the off season so restaurants and grocery stores were closed but the manager thoughtfully left out substantial bed and breakfast snacks for us all day long. She was lovely company as well, very knowledgeable about the history, wildlife and geology of the area. Our best off-season treat though was seeing a humpback whale feeding on a school of Bunker fish. I'm used to seeing disappointingly small pilot whales so this was a real source of amazement to see that huge spout and that giant mouth coming up out of the water from under the school of fish.

I've been lucky to stay at the Pines Bluff many many times The price is great and there are many options for whatever my budget can handle from full Apartments to nice size rooms, Great Location to the beach and Harbor with Rooftop Sunsets and ocean views from the hot-tub, I love the owners Jim and Jim, they are one of the best features and main reason I go back two or three times a year,

A wonderful B&B and the owners are usually always there to help or assist. Beautiful rooms, cozy quite and a wonderful pool and deck, and just far enough away from the center of the Pines

Great place, exactly what a Fire Island guest house should be. The hosts are wonderful, the room is comfortable, and the senery is beautiful.
