This hospital is known as the band-aid station. They're worthless. They killed my Mom's fistula,they didn't properly treat her UTI & it turned into some form of mersa. They couldn't even send anyone to help me with my Mom when she was fighting me to go to dialysis, I was told to call 911. Their doctors bedside manners are horrible, they treat everyone as if they're only looking for drug's so don't expect to get treated properly. It's a horrible hospital & I wish community would take their place so we don't have to go to Anderson but to get treated with respect & properly, it's worth the drive.

This is for my wifes experience at the Mercy ER and this is in addition to the already posted comments. My wife was in excruciating pain and decided to take her here, so when we got there she explained the pain and had a small rash on her side, well the doctor on call decided to do some blood work, ultra sound and a cat scan. So a couple hours later he came in with results and told us that he didn't know what was going on and said it could be this and could be that and said if the pain got worse to come back and to go see her family doctor for follow up in a week. So on Monday she went to her Doctor and she had the shingles and she proscribed what she needed, Pitifull place.

I had to go to Mercy twice in this last year & the doctors treated my pain & symptoms right away & once had me transferred to a large hospital in Indianapolis because they informed me I was in serious trouble & needed specialists (They were right.). I've also been there approximately 15 times to radiology for different procedures the past year. They are efficient & friendly every time. I keep seeing the negative feedback but I've not had that experience. I even asked a nurse during an ER visit to run a test on me out of a gut feeling & without hesitation she did with Docs approval & my gut was right. She gave me praise for thinking of it instead of being offended & mad. Now 3years ago there was a young male doc whom I felt wasn't very knowledgeable because my symptoms started then & I felt he dismissed me that something was wrong. However they ran bloodwork & although my levels were off they weren't so far off to be concerning. So I chaulk that up to age & inexperience. The staff were still friendly & helpful. I followed up with my doctor & I was diagnosed & being treated.

My husband got taken into the emergency room tonight for a syst that is on his leg that is now causing his leg to swell and a lot of pain. Dr.Brown comes in and pokes his leg and says that it is just an infected hair. When told going to set a second opinion Dr.Brown said go ahead. We WONT be returning.

Great check in at the ER today. Very respectful and felt welcomed. If you have serious issues, I would consider this as your closest stop.

My stay in the hospital was made alot better due to the nurses and Dr. They treated me very well. I felt confident with their care. No complaints whatsoever.

Wife went to emergency room and they literally told her she was fine and gave her numbing cream...felt the need for a second opinion so went to Tipton hospital only to find out that she has a flesh eating bacterial infection! They put an IV in her NECK after blowing multiple veins. And after an admitted suicide attempt they sent her home that same night only for her to go home and try again. BBB WILL BE CONTACTED. ELWOOD DESERVES A BETTER HOSPITAL. The people deserve to actually know what's going on with them, and the people who try to commit suicide deserve to be alive and deserve PROPER HELP.

Great experience as always have been a frequent flyer as of late. Wonderful care Nurses,Aides,Techs,My Doctor, Kitchen ladies above and beyond a 10. Everyone very nice good attitudes and put up with me!! EMT’s A+ also. Thank you!! D

Most disrespectful place I have ever been never go here unless you literally have no option they treat like an item they don't have any respect or manners especially in the orthodontist department the orthopedic office lady made it out to seem all she cares about it cutting her patients open I'm almost 100% positive they messed up my broken ankle with its healing process if you can I would recommend going to tipton hospital its only 10 minutes away from this one I also had a concern about my ankle and tried to ask them about it I got interrupted multiple times and dismissed from the question in general then proceed to get an attitude when I asked for a copy of my xrays and when physical moving my ankle when I stop him to stop because it hurt he continued way more then he was supposed to might I also add I never saw the real doctor I was supposed to see I only saw what looked to be an apprentice and the real doctor never came in to make sure his apprentice was right or was doing the write things worst hospital ever this is why I never go to this hospital IDC if I'm bleeding out and dying I will never go to this hospital again there a bunch of rude disrespectful people trying to play doctor as if there still kids they don't really know what there doing

Son was seen in ER with a blood pressure of 200/115 with chest pain was taken in immediately, EKG, chest X-ray and some blood work however after 3 hours he was discharged still with chest pain and blood pressure still high at 148/95. And was told to take his paper work to the doctor showing his blood pressures that they had taken. I thought they WERE doctors in the ER! SO unacceptable
