Mellwood Tavern is a great place to visit for a fried chicken dinner on Tuesdays and Thursdays, or for a nice patio beer with friends. They offer a variety of types of fried chicken, including dark, light, and mixed. The meals are affordably priced and come with two sides. I highly recommend the greens and the potato cake. Mellwood Tavern also has decent happy hour prices from 4-7 (Tuesday-Sunday, I believe) and daily drink specials. I'm always amazed by the musical talents they find and showcase. I have discovered some great bands hangout out at mellwood tavern. I'm really fortunate I live close by. Friendly fast bartenders, affordable food and drink prices. some of the best if not the best fried chicken in town. Outdoor secluded patio with stage. Great environment and friendly neighborhood spot. A must checkout!

Cool laid back neighborhood bar. The fried chicken and sides on Tuesdays and Thursdays is some of the best bar food I’ve ever had anywhere. Highly recommend.

Generally this place has a dive bar vibe with a live band playing most Fridays and they have good prices on their drinks/beers. I love their outside patio area, it's a great place to hangout with some friends.

Maybe the best live music venue that's just a bar in the city. Amazing outdoor space, great fried chicken and "Sunday service" (live music outside) starts at 5 on Sundays so you can still get up early the next day.

Fun spot, clean, not crowded on a Saturday afternoon which worked great for our group of 12. Good drinks, including mocktails on request.

This place is a gem. I went just to stay to go to a show and ended up staying in the tavern. They have amazing music on weekends, and the regular clients are amazing. I felt welcome and safe. Will definitely 💯 go back.

Great little bar for live music beer and cocktails. It had a fun atmosphere and a great little outdoor area too. It was meant to be stop one of some bat hopping but we stayed the whole night! Would definitely recommend.

it's a cool bar l, cute outside seating, don't expect fine dining though. when we went they were out of almost everything but the service was good and they have a nice selection of drinks

Sunshine is the best bartender, very friendly interacts with the customer's. Abby was great as well nice to have a conversation with a employee who doesn't mind interacting with customers (hopefully I spelled her name right). The patio was beautifully out together to interact with your fellow bar attendees. Overall great time, good vibes would recommend to friends and family.

Oh man, probably the single greatest experience of my life thus far. The music was amazing. The crowd top notch. But probably the highlight of the night, nay my entire life was our bartender Smithy. What a sweet lil baby boy who should be cherished.

Mellwood Tavern was a great place to listen to music at. The food is good. We were there to listen to wolfpen Branch!! Best bluegrass group around. We had an awesome time there!!!
