It was an amazing experience! Loved the paintings, especially the Kaesers and the furniture. However, the best part of it all were the volunteers! Every little detail and explanation was told with so much passion that they really bring the house to life! Whether you're just visiting or you're a local who hasn't yet visited The Haan, it is a must-see. Highly recommended!

This beautiful mansion was initially built as the Connecticut building for the 1904 St. Louis World's Fair. Following the fair, The house was auctioned off, taken apart and shipped to Lafayette by rail where it was reconstructed.. an addition to the house was made on the back for a kitchen and breakfast area. Later rooms were added on the second floor above that addition. The Haans purchased the house after the Potter family members in Lafayette had passed away. They made it their personal home and later turned it into a museum sharing their wonderful collection of Indiana artists as well as pottery and sculpture. There's a wonderful sculpture garden behind which is open at all times for no charge.

Our docents were very knowledgeable and fun. They were patient with our questions, and guided us through every detail (but kept making sure if we want to explore by ourselves too). Very unique experience for Impressionism art, history, furnitures from different cultures. Will definitely come back with friends!

This place is great. Beautiful collection of paintings, revival period furniture, clay structures, stained glass art and a lot more. The museum is specifically for Indiana Art. The owners are super nice. There is a sculpture garden which is free for everyone.

Beautiful artwork and house. With the holidays, there is Christmas around the World displays. Very knowledgeable and friendly ladies that will answer any questions and tell you about the pieces in the house and of the house itself. Would love to visit again in the spring when the nature trail and sculpture garden are in full bloom. Wonderful experience and highly recommend.

Tickets are $10 and worth every penny. The collection of art by Indiana artists in the home is impressive. The home itself is in good condition for it's age, but needing some repairs. It is furnished beautifully with period appropriate pieces. Take the time to walk the garden, where one will find more art from Indiana artists and native plants. We thoroughly enjoyed our time spent at the Haan Museum.

We enjoyed it very much. We loved the old furniture. We would have loved to try out the nature trail but because of recent rain it was a bit too muddy.

Excellent and worth the trip if you're a fan of Indiana impressionism (ie TC Steele) or pottery and sculpture. A lovely home with tours by interested and invested owners.

The house is gorgeous, love the architecture & attention to detail. I loved that most of the art is from Indiana. Furniture looked great. Entry was $10 per adult which was definetly worth it, they even let you pay by card if you want. Love seeing history being preserved. A lot quality pieces there. We appreciated the stories & history told by the volunteers to give us some context, you can tell they are very passionate.

This is an amazing art museum that is in an even more impressive house. The collection is an impressive mixture of American Artists highlighted by many of works by the Hoosier Group. Works by T.C. Steele take center stage in many of the rooms. I say rooms because this museum is a former home that was formerly used as an exhibition hall in the 1904 World's Fair. The house is a work of art in itself, by how it has been restored and updated with class. I recommend for all visitors to the Lafayette area looking for a great art experience.

My wife and I had a fantastic tour of the Haan Museum and are greatly impressed. The building is beautiful and the art work whether in the garden or in the home is beautifully displayed. We could not have asked for a more informed guide who knew details of everything.

History buffs will love this place! The curators were very knowledgeable and friendly. The collections change frequently so there is always something new to see. Check the web site to see when the collections change. Truly an enjoyable experience.

This museum is wonderful! We stopped there as a way to get out of the car for a while on a long road trip, and were so captivated we stayed longer than we'd planned. The artwork and ceramics are great, but I was more drawn to the building itself and the furniture. The Docents were very knowledgeable, and friendly. If you are anywhere near Lafayette, I highly recommend a stop at the Haan.
