The staff is kind and helpful, and this is a great business & mission to support. My recommendation would be to avoid going on a weekend afternoon, however, if you want to pet the cats. If you do go then, be prepared to mostly observe the cats and other patrons. When I was there for a 3pm reservation, most of the six cats at the time were irritable and seemed quite tired of people interacting with them, which is fair, because there were a lot of people (about 10) in a relatively small space with the cats. The best part for me was the coffee.

Gem City Catfe is a charming cat cafe that allows customers to enjoy coffee, tea, and light snacks while interacting with adoptable cats. I recently visited Gem City Catfe and had a delightful experience. One thing I appreciated was the parking situation. The cafe has a small lot behind the building, so parking is easy and convenient. The staff at Gem City Catfe was also incredibly friendly. They greeted me warmly when I came in and were happy to answer all my questions about the adoptable cats. It was clear the staff truly cared about the cats and their wellbeing. Speaking of the cats, they were all so sweet and well cared for. The cafe was clean, and the cats had plenty of toys, beds, and other amenities to keep them comfortable and content. It was heartwarming to see how healthy and happy the cats were. Overall, I highly recommend Gem City Catfe if you're looking for a fun, laidback place to enjoy cats while supporting a good cause. The parking, friendly staff, and cared-for cats all make this spot a winner. I'll definitely be coming back soon!

This is really great place! They have very nice coffee and hot drink options as well as a cooler with cold drinks if you prefer. The food options pair nicely: vegan cupcakes, croissants, pretzels, cookies and others. It is pricey for me but no more than other similar places. Of course the real reason we went was to see the cats! The cats are in a separate room accessible through an "airlock" type system to keep the little guys in. The room is surrounded by glass on two sides for people to watch from the cafe area if desired. There are many cat friendly perches, beds and hidey-holes. We loved the small sitting area on the floor with cushions to get a person closer to the fur babies. The atmosphere is cozy and laid back. It was a lot of fun and we will definitely be back! In fact I bought a membership because I knew before we got there it was our kind of place. Check out their website for more info (No link just google it).

The drinks were all suprisingly really good and all the cats were super sweet and liked being doted on. Staff was attentive and kind and had lots of info about the cats. We love visiting here!

The Catfé is one of my favorite neighborhood spots! The drinks and treats are great - I had buttered rum chai and a gingerbread macaron the other day, and both were delicious. The staff are consistently friendly and helpful, even when it's clear they're super busy. Through all the ups and downs of the pandemic, they've always prioritized the safety and happiness of their cats and their customers. The cat lounge is a really comfortable place to hang out and meet the kitties without stress or pressure, and they're all well cared for. I'll be back many times!

I want to go there every day! Spending time with cats makes me very happy, this is my first time in the place and I enjoyed drinking coffee and playing with cats, I want to visit this place again

First time here and I loved it. The mocha coffee I had was really good, in a fancy mug even. I think it's a wonderful idea and a good way to give to the animals. It's not very big so I do recommend a reservation for the cat room. You can even join for $25 and get reduced cat room rates. Great job guys!

My teen and I went to the Catfe yesterday (small business Saturday) for the first time! Yummy chai (for me) and bubble tea (for her) They have such an amazing set up. I love that they have resident cats and cats for adoption. 🥰 If you love cats I'd highly recommend checking it out. 10/10 would recommend! ❤️

This was my first experience at a cat café. Café wise, they have a great selection of drinks and some small pastry items. They have seating that is free from cats so you can go for a normal cafe experience. As for the cat part, it was cool seeing all their different personalities come into play. There are definitely some cats that will try to steal your food. Overall, it's a fun and charming café.

Despite a little grumpy bunch (I think they were maybe overwhelmed by the amount of people), the cats were very cute and nice to be around! Employees were nice and chill. Overall nice vibe :)

Went for the first time and loved it 😻 the bananas foster latte and iced chai tea were great, and we loved that they use reusable cups instead of plastic inside. Obviously the kitties are so fun, and it was a fun experience!

I love this place! I went here for my birthday yesterday and I am so happy I did. It was very cute and relaxing on the inside and they played great music. Their coffee was amazing, I had a white peppermint mocha. If you are eating or drinking there and not to go, they put your drinks in a reusable metal mug and that is so smart and environmentally friendly of them. Inside of the cat area, it was very clean and smelled nice. They even had an area to wash your hands and a lint roller for lingering cat hair. Their cats were very friendly except for one that would rather have their personal space. They had plenty of cat toys and areas for them to lounge. They also had areas for the cats decompress if they were overwhelmed by the humans coming in throughout the day. The workers were extremely nice and anyone who says otherwise might have hit their head on the day they went there. I definitely see myself coming again!!!

This cat Cafe was so awesome to go to! The staff was friendly, food was yummy, and the atmosphere was lovely. The cats cute as they should be.

I took my kiddos here for a final summer outing before starting school, and let me just say it was a wonderful experience start to finish. Friendly, dedicated staff, adorable cats, simple procedures and delicious drinks in sustainable containers. I absolutely loved all of it and we will be back, often.

I've been here many, many times for the food and drink, which is always on-point, and it's nice to get to watch the kitties while reading or working at my table downstairs. I usually get a coffee drink, but their other options like their bubble-teas are also delicious! The staff are always super quick and helpful. I have only gone into the cat room once, but the process was easy, and all the cats were playful and well-cared-for. The room was so clean that even as a person with pretty bad cat allergies, I was hardly bothered even with being in there for the full hour. Definitely stop by if you can - I recommend reserving a spot online because it can sometimes get a little crowded during certain peak hours.

This is such a unique place! I have made 2 trips here bringing up foster cats & kittens from a rescue in Southern WV. Not only are they very diligent about the health of the kitties they accept but they take amazing care of them once they have been entered into their adoption program. I have a hard time letting go of some of my fosters, but when I know they get to go to the Gem City Catfe I don't stress anymore because I know they will be in wonderful hands. Several of my fosters have been adopted already and their new owners seem like absolutely wonderful people. I wouldn't hesitate to bring any of my foster kitties here and if I ever wanted to adopt I'd choose this purrfect place. Their cat area is very cat & human friendly and they keep the entire place VERY clean! On top of all that, their drinks are amazing! I'll have to try a pastry the next time I make a trip!

Parking is horrendous. Cats are so cute and staff was nice. Everything was very clean. I got a black iced tea with lavender and it was very good. Reservation recommend to see cats, $10 per person I believe not including drinks or anything :)

First time in to check out the Upstairs Gallery space for my art show January and February 2024. I'd heard about it but never been in. Upstairs is a great space! It's beautifully done, quiet and even has a bathroom. Downstairs is the main Cafe and separate cat room where you can pay to go in and spend time with the cats. Ingenious concept. So it's basically a cat rescue and Cafe all-in-one. They have done an excellent job with this place. It's beautiful and very clean. They even have parking out back. I didn't try any of the food because I don't do carbs. But the coffee was really good!

I love Gem City Catfé - they have the perfect gallery space for artists to show their work... plus excellent snacks, and cats! Friendly staff. Highly recommend!

I felt compelled to write a review after having such a nice time here. Any concerns you might have, don't. It's basically just a really incredible cafe with a cat zoo attached. But the zoo is 100% happy, which you know, sometimes a zoo feels a little sad. But visiting the cats in their perfect space was neat, they have spaces you can't see where they can go chill if they want to. Mostly the staff was amazing, just top tier. The upstairs had been rented for a birthday party I attended and this was a great idea. Staff was again, amazing, taking time to coach the kids through kitty visiting and also making perfect drinks. I had some chocolate chip banana bread also and it was really really good. Thoroughly impressed. So go visit! I have terrible cat allergies and don't like cat smells honestly, and had zero issue throughout the building. View from upstairs is pretty and the ambiance, kind of romantic I would say. Eh..you looking for a good date idea? : ) Thanks for a great time and thanks to staff again who obviously take a lot of pride in their work. Dayton uber alles. Oh, great art also that you can buy.
