Looking for a meandering walk in the middle of Duluth, GA? Step back in time and see how the McDaniel family lived - all the way up to 1999. This beautiful farm has paved walking trails, pavilions you can rent, rocking chair front porches to rest on and plenty of shade to meet your friend and knit. The trails are wide, well maintained and offer plenty of shade on hot summer days. One of the pavilions had a dance class going, while the other was a bit more secluded and grills to cook out on. Get away to the middle of town and enjoy seeing how this family lived.

I found this place by accident by taking a walk when my car was getting repaired on Satellite Boulevard. I was awestruck. What more could you ask from in a park? It's so large that it has two gates. This historic farm and park has got restrooms, an amazing playground, a large enclosed dog park, hundred year old historic buildings along with many enlightening signs and facts, and modern maintenance including corn and other crops grown on site. The trails are remarkable. Some are well paved, with your choice of gentle grades or steep hills, and some are dirt near streams and in the woods. This environment is similar to places like Stone Mountain, with a great variety of walking and running opportunities. And, it's all free. What a gift from Gwinnett County to the community. Elsewhere, people would absolutely pay money to see this kind of history and in this type of walkable setting. Highly recommended.

Great park to go for an easy hike. Very calm, not crowded, had a few nice hills to get the heart rate up a bit. About a 2.4 mile long hike if you walk the outer loop.

One of my favorite parks! Lots of beautiful trees, beautiful people, animals and nature. The park rangers are friendly and professional. Lots of walking trails. There are tours and events. There are a couple of pavilions to reserve for an event or class. There are dog parks and playgrounds too. I love this park and highly recommend it and this park is great for all ages!

This historical farm is gorgeous and has so many walking trails. My fiance and I had a blast walking the trails with our dog and it was even better being able to read all of the plaques and look into the historical buildings on the property.

This place has wonderful trails through tons of trees and two large gated areas for dogs of smaller or bigger sizes to run and play off leash. There’s also tons of benches and trashcans along the trails. If you want to bring a group of people or even just have a small lunch yourself, there’s a big covered picnic table area near one of the entrances, and also several little groups of uncovered picnic tables along the trails as well as a swinging bench every now and then. It’s a really well kept area. Most people pickup after their animals, but if there is a spot I can’t blame the park for that. There’s also a lot of wildlife like deer, squirrels, birds, etc. I have seen a snake but it was sleeping on a rock under a bridge by the water. It was non-venomous and far enough away to never be scared by it. My bf and I bring our dogs here a ton, and we always bring family whenever we can because we just love it so much.

Beautiful park with great trails and scenery. I never suspected such a huge and enjoyable park to be hidden in that area. I've found my new favorite place to walk and sight see!

Great park! At first we walked the trails but then stumbled upon the dog park. We've played with some great dogs and met some equally great people.

This is one of the best parts in this area. It’s spacious and have a lot of history. I found myself several times saying this would be a great educational event for a class to visit. From farm houses to tractors they have lots of memorabilia. They have plaques that give you the history of many of the objects you see, the park features lots of walking paths as well as trails. I especially appreciate the fact that there are benches/seating areas throughout the park and allow you to sit down occasionally to take a break. The park even an activity used garden. I’ve never seen anything in there working but it well kept. You’ll find that lots of people come to take pictures for various events weddings, Family photos, etc.. People are seen walking, jogging and dogs seem to love this place as well. They have bathrooms and free parking. The parking lot isn’t very large so you may find yourself waiting for a few minutes. But it’s worth the wait

This is an absolutely beautiful park! I visited for the first time today, and I will definitely be back. All walking trails are paved, and you have plenty of space. There is also plenty of parking. I highly recommend bringing your kids and dogs!!

I really like this park! Lots of different paths to see and because of this, it can feel way more secluded than it is. There are two parking lots and both have nice clean restrooms. The playground and dog park are also nice. I would recommend using all trails or a similar app, since the trails do not show on Google maps and it can be easy to get turned around with the winding trails. There are both paved and dirt trails to follow.

Came here to eat some takeout while visiting the area not expecting much but ended up spending over an hour walking around after eating. The history aspects of the old preserved structures on the property were interesting, and the park is big enough you can feel "in nature" in some parts, especially the unpaved dirt trails.

This is my favorite park and its a nice old farm house and barn which reminds olden days and farming culture. every weekend you will see at least 10 photoshoots happening at this place. Dog park and children's park are on other side of the entrance. There are lot of gazebo's for partying too.

I have lived around Duluth for many years and yet this is still one of my first times here and it’s absolutely beautiful and lush ! If you live relatively close to the area and are looking for a great dog park/walk, this park offers that and of course, it is a more historic park with many attractions. All in all, I would totally come back again and bring my family and my furry friends.

I been coming to this park for the last 15 years, it feels you are out in the country on this farm from the 1800's hundreds, really nice trails and well maintained its just a beautiful park in Gwinnett.

The trails here are fantastic. They're beautiful and there's tons to see: creeks, meadows, woods, the farm, the playground. And because there are so many loops and spurs, you can get a good work out on the hills (which get steep!) or avoid them if you're looking for a more leisurely walk.

Love it here! We thought it was going to be just a little path and it wasn't. We did some geocaching, and Adventure lab and even saw some deer. This place is awesome and a nice little break from the city

This is by far one of the most peaceful and relaxing parks I have visited in Gwinnett County. As I was walking through the park, I felt a sense of calmness and peace come over my body. This is a park you could visit and meditate on the grass without being disturbed by anyone. The people at this park walk in a higher vibration and even their pets. Everyone is looking for peace and tranquility found in undisturbed nature and this park offers all of that including rich history. The deer felt comfortable to walk throughout the park with their family in tow almost sensing the vibes in the atmosphere that they would be left in peace to live in their natural environment. Also, a great park to bring your dogs for a long walk in nature and the family as well to escape from the hustle and bustle of life to just slow down and contemplate about the beauty found in nature. I truly thank my friend for inviting me for a walk through this lovely park 💗🌻🌷☺️.

A nice park with paved trails. Make a short route or combine to challenge yourself. Park closes earlier than other parks so get there early. Plenty of picnic tables throughout the trails and don’t forget to enjoy the numerous swings. Nice place to walk your dogs

Amazing barn and tractor playground at McDaniel Farm Park. There’s even a chicken coop and pig pen for play. On a historic farm property set back from the original barn, house, chicken coup, and vegetable and flower gardens. 3 miles of wooded walking trails, creeks and lots of chirping birds. Covered pavilion next to playground for shade, lots benches/picnic tables and nice bathroom facility. This playground is set far from roads with no site of traffic, and has a small baby farm playground too. Great lunch spot.
