5-star museum stop in Hendersonville NC. We’re regulars here now when we visit. Ask about the β€œscavenger hunt” to add some entertainment for the kids.

Great place for fans of model RR. Wonderful layout across several rooms. A Thomas display that the young ones can operate. A real caboose you can walk through. Free admission. Only open two days a week, 1-3 pm.

Well-done museum, been watching the model railroad layout grow over the years and love the dedication of the club behind it. The caboose was a bonus. All the old equipment is intact so it could be used as a learning tool on how a train worked such as the air brakes with its dials and valves - and how the caboose was once used to watch the train for signs of trouble. Looking forward to coming back.

The primary thing to see here is a collection of amazingly detailed and well-built model train layouts.

I come from a railroad family and everything seems so authentic with the exception of the Linville hump. Well worth taking your child there.

This place is awesome if you love trains and especially model trains. You could spend hours looking at all the model trains and how much work that has went into building these and making them run. It is part of the local train club. They are only open 2 days out of the week, but it is free to park and free to go inside. The only downside I saw,, was my wife went in there and not one person said a word to you, and was looking at you like you did not belong. I understand they do not work there, they are part of the club, but I feel they should have engaged with the public at the very least to see if you had any questions. It was a good time overall.

This is a model railroad club working layouts of regional areas. Beautifully designed and crafted. If you are a railroad buff you will love it here.

This is a must see for all the miniature train finatics. The Engineer's were very knowledgeable and added a lot of information to the visit.
