You need to walk a little, but the reward is there at the end, when you arrive at the beach. There are one on either side of the reserve. So if one is more rocky, the other would be calm. You can choose a walking trail in the wood also. It start from the Clearwater beach by the road and goes to well bay. If you go by tho path you will see some old NASA bunkers hidden in the wood along your path.

Cooper's Island is a hidden gem that includes a great trail connecting several beaches, all with their own attractiveness. It is a great way to see gorgeous views, take a pleasant walk on the short trail around the island to the secluded Long Bay Beach to as far as the Cooper's Observation Tower. Then, relax on the perfect Turtle Bay sand beach before finishing by enjoying a walk along Clearwater Beach...looking for turtles and seashells. Very beautiful and definitely worth visiting either through one of the many excursions or by car. It was very quiet, but I can imagine it getting fairly busy at other times pf the year. Take the trail and enjoy the views!

Former US Troops and NASA base reopened for public as Nature Reserve in 2008. Just pass the gate and you find Bermuda hidden gem. Four beaches located on north (bigger waves, more open) or south (shallow, clear water, good snorkeling) side, walking paths and beautiful view. Almost empty during a week. The place is still under development so you CAN'T find tourists facilities (restaurants or washrooms). However, there are also two nice beaches before gate (Clear Water and Turtle Beach). Parking space, bus stop, restaurant, big playground and life guards on duty during summer time. Take in mind that place is located close to the airport so there can be noisy from time to time.

Makes me imagine what untouched Bermuda may have looked like 200 years ago.

Cooper's Island requires a quarter mile trek in by foot, but you'll be rewarded with exquisite yet sparsely visited beaches (there are so many great beaches in Bermuda where you can pull up and dive in that many people don't bother). Great snorkeling, too. This reserve is the former site of a U.S. NASA installation, which meant this beautiful part of the island was closed to the general public for nearly 50 years. It was cleared of the old buildings and re-opened as a nature reserve in 2010.

There weren't any other people on the beach, so private!

A series of pristine beaches with very few people set in a nature park like setting make it a wonderful experience.

Quiet, serene, 4 different beaches in walking distance. Beaches face the north and south, so depending on the wind direction, one can opt for waves or calmer swimming waters.

One of the must do things in Bermuda if you want to spend time on peaceful beaches. There are several to choose from beyond the gate into the walking-only area, and they are all amazing. No lifeguards on duty, and you will need to bring everything you need for the day as there are no amenities. This is one of the more remote places that exist in tiny Bermuda so you should expect to spend all or most of a day on a visit here.

Best beaches on the island! Also, turtles regularly visit and can be seen from the shore, particularly Turtle Beach.

Beautiful nature reserve, ideal spot for snorkelling, walking, swimming with turtles 🐢 or reading a book in a hammock!! Bring a camera, some food spots at the start. Easy access via bus or taxi.

I want to let anyone know who rents a four wheel battery powered vehicle that there are multiple charging stations for your vehicle on the right hand side of the road as you arrive at the park near Cooper’s Island.

I went twice the Cooper's Island. it was very wonderful experience. the first time it was cool, romantic, and beautiful afternoon. but second time it was a very windy and challenging weather. there were very big waves on the sea. and very is strong wind. we took some food. but we couldn't eat there. because of wind. but I love and enjoy same time.
