Went here for food with my family of four after having visited before. When meal came I questioned why the meal was so small and how this has never been the case before. I was then told how they now only serve the option of a small portion, for the same price, however the staff member serving us did not notify us of such. Staff were very unhelpful and when asked if I could please have some more, or just change to something else as the food ordered was poor (lasagne very dry and overcooked). I was informed I would be billed twice taking my order for lasagne to over £21. Needless to stay this spoilt the experience and I would not return again.

I really enjoyed my meal with friends last night that I felt compelled to write a review. The menu had a good range of food, which was reasonably priced. Very tasty, with fab service. A great location for us as we all travelled to meet there. I would definately recommend and I will be going back!

Went today for a roast dinner, very good food, would expect the potatoes to be more crispy, and ham to be a little less salty. The staff was very friendly! Would definitely recommend.

The staff are so helpful and friendly, we can't thank them enough for the great service. We are not local and were pleasantly surprised by it. It was comfortable with great views. Although we didn't eat in the bar the food looked very nice. We were there for a party and the function rooms were great too.

Lovely food just disappointed that 2 other parties who were seated after us were served first?? When we had to go to the bar to ask where our food was,we were told they only had one chef working??? Apart from this blip it was really nice.

Food was ok, chips were dreadful. Meals arrived at different times. Asked repeatedly for a glass which never arrived. Wouldn't go back.

We only popped in as we were passing but will definitely call again, lunchtime meal was very nice and prices very competitive. Lovely views out over the estuary, be nice on a summer evening I'm sure

Nice location, service a bit slow, food good value for money.

First time here as I’m not local. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Pub had a lovely atmosphere and was nice inside. Everywhere was clean and the staff were welcoming. Two of us ordered food, duck and a burger. To be honest the food surpassed my expectations. Both of us commented how fresh everything was, the meats, the lettuce the veg even was gorgeous. If I wanted to be really picky I’d say the chips were like a minute undercooked but other than that it was perfect. Also worth mentioning there was a function on so the place was very busy but the quality of everything was still great. Also, the Guinness was gorgeous and ice cold. Nicest pint of Guinness I’ve had in a long time. Would definitely come back when in the area.

If you are disabled watch for the stairs to reception and to go for breakfast. Room was poor and in need of repair towel rail wasn't fitter properly and fell off the wall and in poor repair generally. I've stayed in premier Inn and are much better £188 for two nights left me feeling I've been ripped off. Breakfast was greasy and swimming in oil.

Great morning service. The ladies were so nice. Breakfast was good and served how we requested. I wish i could say the rooms were nice too. The bathroom was rather dirty and grout was missing on the floor so the tiles moved around. The taps were loose and shower was rubbish. The rooms were NOT worth £110. Tea and coffee station was...odd. The sheets were clean though but bed was tiny. Would not stay again.

So I arrived with my wife as a birthday treat at approx 12.30. We were welcomed in as we arrived even though we hadn’t booked a table. I ordered a non-alcoholic drink and my wife had a small glass of fizz to celebrate. When the menu arrived we thought not to have a starter as we were both wanting the roast dinner and if we had room a nice pud and coffee to finish off. When our food came it wasn’t what we were expecting. Most of the plate was full of red and green cabbage with only a couple of small roasties?? The meat was tasty but not much plated. Anyway we skipped ordering desert because the coffee machine wasn’t working and settled with a shell garage meal deal for the way home….overpriced if I’m honest and hate leaving hungry! £46 for a small roast and drink is disappointing.

Very nice food good selection Friendly staff

The food was excellent. There was 18 of us and it all came out the same time, hot and delicious. Staff did a great job. Great ambience and place. Definitely recommend and can't wait to return
