I can't speak for every show but I can speak for Foxy Shazam. The venue is incredibly loud and is all concrete to bounce the sound, if you don't want ringing ears I suggest earplugs and you'll still hear just fine. The venue isn't in the best part of Michigan but your car will be safe in the lot. The lot is pretty small so I would get there early to not need to park next door or across the street. It has the feel of a dirty hole in the wall venue and doesn't look to welcoming. The drinks were okay and I didn't get a feel for the bartenders so I won't comment their. What I can comment on is the staff/bouncers. They are incredibly professional and beyond willing and able to help and crowd control. I felt absolutely safe with the staff in the crowd and watching over the guests. Overall I wouldn't make a trip to see a band you've not heard of just for the venue experience. But if a band you want to see is playing here I would absolutely not hesitate to visit. Don't let the flint name scare you off from seeing a band. Again the bouncer staff and the door girl were fantastic.

You've never really experienced a concert till you see one at The Machine Shop!!! One of my favorite places on Earth!!! Kevin and everyone there is more like family to me than just friends, they always make sure I'm taken care of and I'm humbled every time I enter the doors there. Go to a concert there, trust me YOU WON'T REGRET IT!!!

This place is awesome!! The concerts always rock, the people around you are always nice and just having a good time, and the customer service is amazing!! They get you through the bar lines quick. Porsche (sp?) was walking the floor, and taking drink orders for people, and she was great!! They have a patio area where you can smoke, buy stuff, or sit outside. The Machine Shop is always a good time!

The Haunt was an incredible opener! I hope to see them again in the future even though they're from Florida. And The Hu was just as intriguing as you could possibly imagine! Definitely a must see if you appreciate all cultures and all styles of musicality! Not sure who I'll see next, but every band I've seen at The Machine Shop has been amazing! Looking forward to next time! 🤘

The Machine Shop is iconic in Flint. I have seen so many bands there that I love. Small venue so you are always up close and personal with the band. I have never had any issues with the staff or other patrons. Everyone is family and I feel treated as such. If a band comes there that you love, don't hesitate, but get your tickets early because it is small and they will sell out fast!

This is a literal diamond in the rough. Not amazing surrounding area but this show case is pretty amazing. The audio check needed to be a bit more tuned in. But the lights and smoke, band sales merch and reasonably priced vodka red bulls. Advice! Wear ear plugs! It's a small venue, so it's hard to not be next to a speaker.

If you're looking for an amazing concert venue look no further! Great shows, exceptionally low ticket prices, and very reasonable beer prices. If you're on the fence about checking them out, just go! You won't regret it.

Abundant staff helped give a sense of comfort and made everything easier. Quicker bar service, quicker merch, easier door processes, just a solid staffing of friendly people. The venue is legendary for a reason, the vibes are immaculate and the sound is great. Wish the food table thing had better options but its nice to have snacks at all.

As a regular attendee of shows at the Machine Shop, I can not recommend this venue enough. It's truly a gem in Flint, MI that many outsiders are unaware of, but it's a spot that locals know and love. One of the unique features of the Machine Shop is its small size, which allows for an up-close and personal experience with your favorite bands. As a frequent concert-goer, I love being able to feel the energy in the room and see the band members up close. The venue's 18+ age restriction also creates a more mature atmosphere, and it's always great to see like-minded fans who share a passion for live music. The outside smoking area with tables and a jerky shop is also a nice touch, providing a great spot to take a break between sets and chat with fellow music lovers. Of course, the real highlight of the Machine Shop is the amazing hard rock and metal bands that perform there. As someone who has attended many shows, I can attest to the fact that they always curate a killer lineup, and the sound quality is top-notch. What's even better is that the Machine Shop doesn't use Ticketmaster, which means no crazy fees or frustrations with purchasing tickets. And while the low ticket prices are definitely a plus, I do have to admit that I fear the venue becoming more well-known. As a regular attendee, I worry that it would become harder to snag tickets before they sell out. All in all, the Machine Shop is a five-star venue that's near and dear to my heart. If you're a fan of hard rock and metal and are lucky enough to attend a show here, you're in for a real treat.

Great place to see live music! Went to see a Van Halen tribute band with my wife and we had a blast! Everybody was very friendly, prompt service at the bar. A little cramped at max capacity, but still enough spacing to let loose a little. We didn't try any food, but I saw some good things while there. 4.5 to 5 stars. Definitely going again!

Have seen 2 shows there in the last year. It’s a really intimate place to see a show and has a super cool interior. Will go there again. Pros-doors opened on time with organized id check and ticket check, staff and bartenders that I encountered were friendly, sound quality was great, easy process to buy tix online Cons-if you are on the shorter side your view will be more than likely obstructed because none of the seating area or standing area is elevated, women’s bathroom situation is terrible, too few stalls.

The Machine Shop is a perfect concert venue that is completely OG and has never changed. It reminds me of the used to be Orbit Room venue. The venue hosts a vast amount of genres, I was just there for a metal concert, and it was a perfect place to have it! The place has plenty of space to where I never felt suffocated. There's a nice outside area for smoking and there's a dining area as well, the food is delicious! The service was great, and the bartenders are very friendly, very helpful, and responsive. 10/10 would recommend this place for any concert offered!

One of Michigan's best small concert venues, especially if your tastes tend toward rock, metal, or outlaw country. Free parking in back and to the south, and easy to get to from I-69. Mixed drinks were 5$. Shows sell out often here, if you see something appealing get your tickets right away. On a more subjective level, bands seem to really enjoy playing here and you will always get their best show. Very high energy, and the musicians feed off of it, and come back for more.

Always a good time! There is never enough room. Shows are always sold out for the bands I see. With that being said, I know times are rough, but they do need to start fixing up this place. Some areas like the trailer for the bands in the back are very dangerous. #adelitasway

Loved the concert! Great sound and atmosphere. I will warn those who have never been here, sold out shows are standing only. No chairs inside. There are some picnic tables outside with a food truck that smells amazing!! Lots of bartenders so the wait for drinks was very minimal! Only giving the 4 stars because I wish there was some bench seating along the walls to sit every now and then to give my fat feet a break LOL.

Overall it was a good experience, veryyy loud left with my ears ringing. The bands were amazing, everyone got along. It gets REALLY hot in there during a concert so be sure to wear light clothing. Sandals not recommended, I rated it 4 stars because the floor is beyond sticky. Like sooo sticky and it never changes lol it almost stole my flip flop.

Great venu. The lighting was awesome. Intimate venue but also wasn't packed. We were comfortable, entertained, and had reasonably priced drinks all night. Parking was easy too.

It seems like I've been here an infinite amount of times, yet somehow not enough. The Machine Shop is possibly my favorite place on this planet. The people are will welcome you into their family and make you feel seen and heard, and human. The comradery of the crowd, the atmosphere, the absolute banger lineups they bring, great drinks and sometimes food options on the patio; what more could you ask for? If you're in the area, do not skip the Machine Shop!

Awesome place to see concerts. Small stage but who cares. Got to be up close to the band.

The bands are awesome. But I got barred for no reason. I won't be coming back. Garbage lounge. Yes, I'm the guy with the birthmark and the army vet vest. This place can burn.
