As
a
regular
attendee
of
shows
at
the
Machine
Shop,
I
can
not
recommend
this
venue
enough.
It's
truly
a
gem
in
Flint,
MI
that
many
outsiders
are
unaware
of,
but
it's
a
spot
that
locals
know
and
love.
One
of
the
unique
features
of
the
Machine
Shop
is
its
small
size,
which
allows
for
an
up-close
and
personal
experience
with
your
favorite
bands.
As
a
frequent
concert-goer,
I
love
being
able
to
feel
the
energy
in
the
room
and
see
the
band
members
up
close.
The
venue's
18+
age
restriction
also
creates
a
more
mature
atmosphere,
and
it's
always
great
to
see
like-minded
fans
who
share
a
passion
for
live
music.
The
outside
smoking
area
with
tables
and
a
jerky
shop
is
also
a
nice
touch,
providing
a
great
spot
to
take
a
break
between
sets
and
chat
with
fellow
music
lovers.
Of
course,
the
real
highlight
of
the
Machine
Shop
is
the
amazing
hard
rock
and
metal
bands
that
perform
there.
As
someone
who
has
attended
many
shows,
I
can
attest
to
the
fact
that
they
always
curate
a
killer
lineup,
and
the
sound
quality
is
top-notch.
What's
even
better
is
that
the
Machine
Shop
doesn't
use
Ticketmaster,
which
means
no
crazy
fees
or
frustrations
with
purchasing
tickets.
And
while
the
low
ticket
prices
are
definitely
a
plus,
I
do
have
to
admit
that
I
fear
the
venue
becoming
more
well-known.
As
a
regular
attendee,
I
worry
that
it
would
become
harder
to
snag
tickets
before
they
sell
out.
All
in
all,
the
Machine
Shop
is
a
five-star
venue
that's
near
and
dear
to
my
heart.
If
you're
a
fan
of
hard
rock
and
metal
and
are
lucky
enough
to
attend
a
show
here,
you're
in
for
a
real
treat.
