Such a beautiful house, and property. We went to the Harvest Festival, and really enjoyed it. We plan on going back tomorrow hopefully, to do the house tour. The applesauce, cider, and donuts were good today, thank you! We had a good time walking around today, and I definitely recommend checking this place out!

It was lovely!! The garden tour lead by the horticulturist there was excellent! The home tour was excellent, too. I'll definitely go back again, and I live in Lansing.

What a Great day my friend and I had at Apple wood! The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. We did the flower tour first, then we went in and did the house. You can't take pictures inside I have no problem with that cuz you can see more. The house is gorgeous! Ladies if you're looking for something for your kids to do you can pack a picnic lunch take a blanket and sit in the gardens while you eat. I highly recommend

Beautiful grounds and interesting house. All of the workers and volunteers were so friendly and willing to answer any questions I had. The gardens are beautiful.

Nice location to walk around for about 1-2 hours. We did the house tour which took about 30 minutes for the first floor and basement, no pictures were allowed but the guide was very talkative and friendly. Not overtly huge but very interesting to see and hear about the family background and what they've done for the community. The Taste of Applewood (TOA) rotates fruit grown there that you can try, which currently, they had apricots. Relative to the Flint area, definitely stop by here.

We stopped here today as part of a Mystery Tour through Beyond Horizons. I absolutely loved the place. You can visit the house or walk around the grounds. Just beautiful!

If you love the nostalgic gardens of Victorian England like I do, you will be in seventh heaven. You can walk the grounds for free. You have to pay to tour the house (which I really wish I had a chance to do). The only reason I give it four stars is the staff do not keep the weeds pulled 😱 Sorry I didn't take pictures of the gardens, but I was obsessed with smashing Japanese beetles which were everywhere (can't be helped this time of year).

Very beautiful and well maintained. It's like taking a trip back in time to when Mr. Mott and his family enjoyed the land. It's free to get in Thursday through Sunday. The gardens are open each of those days and the house is only open on weekends.

beautiful grounds to explore. Spending time at the estate allows one to shake off the stresses of today while taking a step back in time. If you're looking for a little relaxation time. This is a good choice

I really enjoyed what little time we had here today. This was my first time coming to Applewood Estates. I was really only able to stay for a total of 35 minutes because we were approached by staff that we had to leave due to the heat, was told it was because the weather was stating it feels like 102 I checked and it said feels like 93. I felt that was quite confusing and also really unfortunate as we just got to the gardens and came a decent way to enjoy them. Nonetheless what I got to see was lovely. I would love to be able to see more and spend far more time here!

Applewood Estates is a beautiful little gem tucked away in the heart of Flint. Contributions of their resources produced by only a handful of employees and some wonderful volunteers go straight to homes and shelters within the city. But the gardens are the real prize for visitors free viewing pleasure. Stunning landscapes with apple orchards, rose gardens, herb gardens and so much more. A great way to spend a couple hours with family or on your own.

This is a great destination if your in the Flint area. The grounds are amazing, the home tour is very interesting and if you take the home tour or talk to the volunteers you will learn just how big a part the Mott's played in Genesee County and its also free!

Only open on Sundays 1-4 (when we went in Oct anyhow) The volunteers were very informative and chipper. It was FREE to go into the first floor only. No photos allowed inside. Walking the gardens was nice too. Near the longway planetarium so you can park there and walk up. Mr. Mott was one of the co founders of General Motors.

I love this place. I take the kids to all the events, and they always have a great time. The flowers are beautiful, the samples are delicious and the staff is always friendly. It's nice to just walk around and enjoy the scenery. (Photos are from a random visit two weeks ago)

Went for Friday storyline and it was spectacular! The reader had a microphone so everyone could hear. There was a interpreter signing for the deaf and hard of hearing. After the story there was an activity for everyone, which kept children of many ages engaged. We also received a free book, so generous. After story time we walked through the beautiful gardens. Highly recommend !

I've lived in Genesee county my entire life. I am now a senior and I'm finally getting out and doing things like going to Applewood Estate that I haven't had a chance to get to. It was a great history experience. I often wondered what brought Charles Stewart Mott to Flint, Michigan. I will go back at Christmas. I hope is pretty but the grounds are beautiful. The flowers absolutely gorgeous. I bet it's beautiful covered in snow too.

Beautiful, well-maintained, easy walking on good paths or grass. Not too big. All of the staff were nice and helpful. Free entry, free samples of fruit from the orchard! They even gave a couple of free postcards just for filling out a survey about the garden.

We like to go on Fridays to Story Time. They read a book to the kids and they give the kids the same book to take home. They always have little activities to do after they read the story. After the story and activities we walk the grounds and check out all the flowers and find a shady spot for a picnic lunch or a snack. They do a taste of Applewood where you can try a product that has been grown on the estate .

Beautiful house and gardens. Unfortunately we could only view the first floor, each room roped off. We had to wear masks inside the house without air conditioning. It was hard for me because of my heart condition. But, the complete self tour is free!! Very sweet volunteers. Well worth the time.
