I made a last minute booking for 4 to celebrate my mum's birthday. Mum is 84 and has alzheimers. I explained this to the lovely, friendly man who was taking our order. He was fab and gave her plenty of time to choose her meal. His patience and lovely manor with her is much appreciated as it doesn't happen often unfortunately. I have to admit that at first I thought some items on the menu were a little expensive- but not after receiving our meal. All our meals were superb. The homemade kebabs were excellent and very tasty as was the chicken and pork meal my husband had. Mum's face was a picture when her turkey Christmas dinner arrived- it was a huge plate full and very tasty. My daughter had the kids meal, again she enjoyed it. Fantastically generous tasty meals - well worth the money. Although a little indulgent we all had puddings. We were all surprised by the size of the portions- very generous. We had a lovely time and will definitely be returning soon. Thank you

Superb service here. Will certainly come back. Met at the door, walked to table and fast to take order and bring out food. Add to that good value and wide choice for the family. Spot on.

We had a lovely early mother's day gathering here with family. It was my first visit to Pen Y Bont Farm. The menu looked very tasty and difficult to choose from. Unfortunately we found some of our meals were dried out and over cooked, with that and the long wait time between courses I knocked a star off. Hopefully my next visit will be better!

We are here every week, the Sunday roast is delicious, plenty of choice, and meat cooked to perfection! Now and then things gets missed, which is expected in a busy environment, if you let them know, they sort out straight away. We have often been on other days, and the normal menu is just as good. I hear its changing soon, which I'm excited about. Loads of drink choices, and the staff are really attentive, and all so lovely. I have literally written a review on everywhere I can, as its well deserved. Thanks Emma

I picked your restaurant for my second date with a lovely lady who lives locally . None of us had been to the restaurant before , so we were really impressed with the design and decor of the restaurant. I am vegan and really appreciated the animal friendly decor and style . Some lovely touches to create a really lovely ambiance . The menu was varied and catered for all tastes and diets , which at the time of visit was a shortened menu, but still had a fantastic choice. After ushered to our table we were given time to peruse the menu , whilst our drinks order was taken . The service was prompt and our meals arrived on time . The food tasted great and was presented very nicely indeed. Both the male servers were polite and efficient and made us feel welcome. The date went really well and I achieved great kudos from my day which was another plus ! Many thanks and we will be back soon hopefully

Fantastic food with fantastic service. I've ordered mixed grill. It was the best mixed grill I've ever eaten. It was so fresh and the portions were massive. The staff made us feel very friendly and cosy. I'm already excited about the next visit!

Lovely food. Attentive service, its always just a little on the slow side no matter how busy it is. I don't mind with the food as you know care is being taken, but it can get frustrating when you're waiting a while on drinks. That being said, that is my only criticism. The staff are friendly and accommodating, the food portions are extremely generous, the choice is phenomenal (I don't think I've ever seen another pub with such an extensive menu) and the food itself tastes amazing.

We sat outside for dinner and the seating area we found ourselves in felt fairly dirty and a bit drab. The decor indoors looked far cleaner and brighter. This pub is located right next to a huge, noisy roundabout so the ambiance outside isn’t ideal if you’re looking for a lovely spot to eat in the summer. Service wise, very friendly and efficient so no qualms there. Food wise, just dreadful. We paid £15 for a vegan burger that was presented on a soggy piece of lettuce, with a tiny portion of slaw and sweet potato fries. And that was all that was on my plate! My other half had a curry and he said it tasted like a cheap microwaveable meal for one. The burger was only one of a handful of meals that we could see were gluten free on the menu, so that was extremely disappointing as we know other pubs in the area have an amazing selection catering to different dietary needs. The quality of the food for the money charged was just shameful (the bill came to over £50 and we didn’t even order any alcohol) and for that price, we could’ve bought a whole pile of delicious food from the supermarket and hosted a barbecue for 20! Needless to say, we wouldn’t eat here again.

We went for a walk in the local area and felt the need to stop off for some food afterwards. The staff were really friendly and the food was delicious. We visited on Easter Sunday and ordered a Trio Roast each and service was quick considering how busy the pub was!

Visited here with my mum for lunch, beautiful food and outstanding service. So we will definitely be back! Every single member of staff was fantastic and looked after us during our visit. From the moment we set foot into the building the service was amazing, met at the door and kindly led to our table. The restaurant is very clean and the interior is stunning. Love the vibe and the atmosphere was so cosy, relaxing and comfortable. Also, it has a great menu and there is so much to choose from, my mum was spoilt for choice. But as a vegan, you may struggle as there wasn't many vegan options. Nonetheless the food was still so tasty. Especially the dessert! I had the vegan brownie with ice cream and I can honestly say it is one of the best I've ever had. So thank you for your splendid service and we will definitely be back soon.

Lovely place to sit and enjoy quality food at very reasonable prices. We took advantage of the lunchtime offer and will be going back again soon.

Went to Pen Y Bont Farm Pub Mold last night with the girls for a birthday get together hoping for a lovely meal and great atmosphere and unfortunately was faced with extortionate prices for instance this starter if nachos which were £9.95 I asked about the portion size given the extreme pricing and was told they were a good size and good as a sharer so when it arrived at our table we was really unhappy to find it was child size to say the very best and the s### last bits ypu get at the bottom of a packet with cheap tasteless cheese... pic below 👇👇. Then for mains a lady on my table ordered a £20 8oz stake very well done 😳 and she received a medium rare at very best pink as anything inside and burnt on the outside attached to about 5oz of unchewable fat, when she complained her meal wasn't taken back and redone she was made to put the stake onto a separate plate for another to be "cooked" for her while the rest of her meal went cold when it finally arrived back at the table it wasn't any better then the first and was again pink in the middle and cremated on the outside. It was a awful atmosphere and very morbid, except 1 young member of serving staff who I must say was the best employee in the entire building at that time. Very unhappy with the entire experience will not be returning and will not be recommending to anyone I know.

An excellent visit, staff friendly, helpful and efficient, service prompt and courteous. The atmosphere in the restaurant was pleasant, and relaxing with the background music set at an ideal level, audible but not intrusive. Everywhere was clean and fresh with plenty of room between tables. The food was excellent, well presented, hot and tasty with a good range of meals on the menu. Prices reasonable, considering the current financial climate. Never had a bad meal in all previous visits. No hesitation in recommending.

Ate out with family after visiting fairly regularly and always loved the food. Greeted by lovely staff at the bar who engaged in a great chat whilst we waited for our table to be ready. We ordered some sides, starters and a burger all to come out at the same time. When the food arrived the chips and onion rings were cold and one plate of chicken strips came covered in sauce when asked for without. We asked for them to be done without and waiting on staff were happy to do this, when the plate came back out they were the same chicken strips as before with the sauce scraped off so again we asked for a fresh plate and staff were happy to do this however this time there were burnt and chewy, we sent brought this to the staffs attention and they brought another plate out which were exactly the same and the waitress recognised this and apologised. All staff were all apologetic and didn’t charge us for them due to having multiple issues with them. Additionally, the burger started off really nice, however towards the end of eating the chicken in the burger was undercooked and pink. Such a shame as we used to love the food at this pub but probably won’t be returning after this.

Christmas Day dinner for family of 4, including a 93 year old. Fabulous staff as always. Super food. Dinner cooked to perfection and best Christmas puddings ever. Plenty of time to enjoy the meal in the sitting time without feeling rushed. Lovely festive atmosphere and enjoyed by everyone. Looking forward to returning in the new year. A huge thanks again to all the wonderful team!!

Our experience was great again, the Pen y Bont is warm and welcoming, the staff are attentive and friendly, the menu is extensive and I don't think anyone would struggle to find anything that they liked to eat.Our meal was lovely and everyone in our party enjoyed it. All the staff are great, but one in particular is funny and enjoyed a bit of banter,I will get his name next time we go,it's lovely to have a great to have such staff and makes the place nice and relaxed which is what you want when out (well we do 🙂 ).I would recommend the Pen y Bont to family and friends 🙂

Enjoyed a delicious meal celebrating my sister's birthday. The Duo on the Specials Menu is outstanding! Extra bonus that the restaurant is dog friendly so will definitely be returning with our Doberman.

Got told about the food here by a work colleague . The quality, price and service was spot on

Friendly greeting and service. Nice atmosphere and surroundings. Family friendly. Only downside was portion control. 3 very small roast potatoes with a mixed roast dinner. Disproportionate. Also custard serving on sticky toffee pudding didn't even cover the pudding. Disappointed. I did mention to the staff they did agree but was out of their control. Apart from those 2 points we enjoyed our visit

Had a lovely pie with a smashing gravy. Staff were incredibly welcoming to our dog, did her an order of chicken dippers in a dog bowl and even gave her a dog biscuit on entry. Cocktails were excellent, my Mrs rated the espresso martini. As an unusual bonus, the car park is a surprisingly good spot for stargazing on your way back to the car, very little light pollution and a great view of the night sky. Definitely a place to visit.

We booked it at this pub/restaurant whilst on holiday at the recommendation of some friends. What a lovely meal we had. The staff were pleasant and very obliging. The food was lovely. Everyone in our group loved it. The desserts were to die for and very moreish. The prices were very reasonable for the food we got. I would definitely recommend this place and if we are in the area we'll definitely be calling in again.

We visited on a Saturday night, and there were nine of us, and they were able to accommodate us with only a few hours notice, so that was a great start. There was a decent selection of drinks on offer and the menu was the usual pub food - not a huge lot of choice but enough to satisfy almost anyone. The food itself was "pretty good", nothing exceptional but wasn't much to complain about either, i think it represents good value considering the price. The guy who served our table was very friendly which was nice. However. We did have a service issue - once the table was cleared after dinner, we were left for close to an hour and a half without anyone checking on us - some wanted another drink, others dessert, and we felt forgotten about in our table to the side. Never had that in my life! Also, the fact that you have to go to the bar to pay seems out of place, as otherwise it's table service (intermittent table service, but table service nonetheless) - surely a card machine isn't expecting too much? Anyway we had an okay time but the VERY long wait without any service at all left a bitter taste in our mouths. A little something sweet might have alleviated that!

Wonderful meal, large portions (very filling), Chef Dan P perfectly cooked our mixed grill and burger. Pete, our server, was very attentive and charming with just the right amount of humour for us. Our meal was also cheaper than we were expecting for the quality and quantity we received. We will definitely be returning 10/10

I unfortunately contracted covid just before Christmas and had a table booked for Christmas Day. The manager was very accommodating and was willing to offer a full refund with no questions asked, however they really came into their own when we asked about the possibility of collection. They weren’t set up for takeouts however they plated our food up and allowed my partner (who has been negative this whole time) to drive there and collect the food safely. The staff at Pen Y Bont well and truly saved our Christmas, A+ customer service!

First time visiting after a recommendation. Restaurant is very well presented, I loved the quirky farm animal art work! Service was not rushed, maybe a little slow, but I wasn't in a hurry. I went for half a roast chicken and it was great. My friend had the salad with chicken and it was equally as good. Will definitely go back when I'm in the area.

Staff super efficient and very friendly and smiley. The food was lovely and served nice and hot which is always good! Too many times I've eaten out in various places and had like warm food. We chose to eat there as my best friend who I'd not seen since covid was coming from Birmingham to have a catch -up. We shared what had gone on in our lives over chicken, cheesecake and cocktails - which were delicious! Thank you for making our dining experience wonderful.

The restaurant had a lovely feel about it. Despite being extremely busy (5:30 and money off voucher) all the staff were exceedingly pleasant and helpful and nothing was too much trouble - very refreshing in these troubling times. Food was served promptly and excellent quality and value. Grandchildren loved the children’s menu choice and have already chosen what they will have on our next visit - well worth the travelling distance of 20+ miles!

Was pleasantly surprised by the whole experience, from the staff, to the meal and the venue as a whole. Couldn't fault anything, particularly liked the consideration shown to adult couples and parties being seated separate from those with young families. The staff were attentive, service was quick, maybe a little too quick, no problem either. The venue is immaculate, has a good ambience and vibe and would definitely recommend and visit again.

Lovely food and friendly staff. Service a bit slow but think there were break times being covered whilst we were there. Fair prices and quality ingredients. Cajun chicken breast was perfectly cooked. 😁

Good meal, I had the Rib-eye steak which while it wasn't the tastiest steak I've ever had, it was correctly cooked (medium rare) so perfectly fine. We had the sharing platter for dessert and this was delicious! The 6 sharing platter was more than enough for 2 people and a good way to compromise if you can't decide what to have. Something went wrong with our Eton mess and it had collapsed (maybe they took the name too literally 😆). Someone else in our party also had the Eton mess and that was fine. Really nice atmosphere in a recently renovated old building (and barn). Would definitely recommend going.

Marston should be proud of this establishment. Staff and service are excellent. The menu is quite good for a pub, good sized portions served hot. We would have liked the mussels but for some reason they had run out the previous evening ? Perhaps an oversight ! Plenty of room to relax and enjoy a meal and a drink. Enjoyed the experience. Thank you Jasmin and Chris the chef.

Jacinta and all staff we had contact with were absolutely fantastic, food was lovely and to end the night Joe? I can't remember his name(Was wearing a hawaiian shirt) made us 2 amazing cocktails from our description and pictures of something we had there almost 2 years ago! It was a really lovely way to end the evening and felt more special as they were made just for us.
