This is a post-worst-of-the-pandemic review. The Good Beans Cafe has survived. I'm sure it wasn't easy but it is open again. I think the owner would like you to know that it is OPEN (I'm writing this Nov. 12, 2022) and that the HOURS ARE MWF from 10 - 2 and people will need to wait for more staffing for more extended hours. So I hadn't been here (I don't live in the area) since before the pandemic closure and I cannot tell you how grand it was to stop for a cappuccino and see people talking and enjoying their coffee at the Good Beans again. For those who don't know, the drinks are extraordinary, the owner friendly and gracious, the atmosphere just fantastic -- it's a terrific funky coffee shop that would also be right at home in Ann Arbor, for instance. It's got its own vibe (obviously generated by the owner) that is still intact, too, like every excellent indie coffee shop. There's enough dedicated parking. My friend and I sat there probably a good 90 minutes catching up and enjoyed ourselves. I highly recommend this place and hope folks can find the time to rejoin life at the Good Beans even without full hours yet. Welcome back, Good Beans! Glad to see you again!

First time here and won't be my last. Owner Ken is incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. The decor is beautiful with a 1920s bar out of the old Capitol building in Flint. 100% would recommend

My newest obsession is a good caramel or mocha latte! I have gone past this place for years and finally decided to go in. After asking about my taste buds, the owner made me a simple yet sumptuous mocha latte. He advised me how to make one and what to use at home as well- even the type of machine to buy for an at home experience. Very friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. I purchased the coffee, and other ingredients from him and made it at home...HIS is much better though. He IS the barista! I'll be going back.

Good vibes at the Good Beans Cafe. Lots of options and creativity from the staff for great drinks. Some of their favorite drinks to serve are the smooth 1 week cold brew coffee, lemonade, and espresso.

1st time experience it was great. Small quite and cozy. I'm so indecisive but the guy there helped me figure out something good to order. He was patient and helpful and made a delicious beverage. It was perfect for my tastes. I will definitely be back.

I can't get enough of the coffee it's falvor is the best I've had and the atmosphere is calming. I stop here every morning and it you purchase a to-do mug you save .50 cents on your morning drink. My favorite is the white chocolate raspberry latte with whip hot!

One of (if not the) best cafés in Flint. Sociable and knowledgeable staff. Delicious drinks (coffee and otherwise). Always has a schedule of upcoming events posted.

A wonderful, Italian style cafe. The staff is incredibly friendly, helpful, and knowledgable. An absolute delight.

Wow! There's so many memories and so much to say about this amazing little local business. I came here every Friday for four years, never had an unpleasant experience. The owner Ken is a great guy who is very supportive of the people and culture surrounding Flint. The decorations around the place are all locally inspired and made, sometimes they're for sale. The coffee is the best around. They're always trying new combinations of flavors. They host various community meetings and even have a stage for artists, karaoke, talent shows and anything else you could host. I love this place and I'm very sad to be leaving the town soon. I'll be sure to come back often for a cup of The Good Beans!

Excellent place. Knowledgeable, talkative staff. They have an Italian espresso machine and make the absolute best espresso macchiatos you will ever have. They also have My Favorite Muffins, bagels, and different types of bars. Super cozy place that you can just chill in and feel at home. Lots of roadside parking and a parking lot behind the building as well.

Such amazing ownership, and it is so beautiful inside! I got a small coffee today, and it was one of the best I've had, and I'm not even a coffee drinker!

Ken is super nice and coffee is very good! He clearly loves coffee and is willing to share his knowledge. If I don’t know what I want, he is great at making a suggestion based upon your likes!

Coffee drinks are really good. The historic building is clean and full of character. Service is great!

I have been a customer since shortly after they opened in 2000. The owner has always been nothing less than gracious and kind even when dealing with some of us more difficult patrons 😉
