I booked this hotel because of its' location.... Great location! Checked in, saw the room, left. This place is a dump. Smelly, dirty hallways. Filthy carpet in the rooms. First time I ever checked for bedbugs before I even sat on the bed. Did not feel comfortable from the second we walked in. Don't be fooled by the photos - simply gross.

The reviews say everything! This place was horrible! There were pieces hanging from the ceiling. Beds were really old and gross. The elevators don’t work and haven’t for awhile. You can tell how bad it is but walking down the halls. Stay away, I promise it’s gross.

I've traveled to Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Shanghai and all over the USA. This was the single worst hotel in all my travels, ever! I arrived late in the evening. I was so disappointed with...everything! The room was horrible. Dirty, carpet stains, a couch that was so filthy I wouldn't sit on it. Mold in the bathroom, mold all over the shower head. The worst was the bed hadn't had the sheets changed from a prior guest! When I addressed this at the front desk, I was handed a stack of sheets, blankets, and pillow cases to put on the bed myself!! I could go on, but this should be enough for anyone to understand that they should avoid this place at all costs! I asked for an adjustment on my bill due to power outage and alarms going off half the night, as well as all the above. I was told there would be an adjustment, it never appeared on my credit card. A horrible experience!

When arriving to the hotel I walked into my room and it was filthy. There were stains all over the floor and the carpet had tears in it. One of the had wires hanging from the light fixture. A lampshade was missing from the lamp. There was no phone in the room. We were moved to a different room but had to be split up due to there being no more rooms available with 2 beds. The room that I shared with my 2 small children had a broken thermostat. We were then moved again shortly after midnight. The only excuse that I continued to get was that the hotel is old. I didn't feel any remorse from the staff. I was told that my room would be free but was then told I had to be charged something. That was my first and definitely my last stay with this hotel. 😡

PLZ PLZ PLZ AVOID Don't trust the star rating or put any value in the reputation of their name. I didn't book this hotel so I didn't have the option of leaving, but in any other circumstance I would've left immediately. The fridge looked like it would have a corpse inside. There were blatant stains on the couch, and I could feel every spring in its pull out mattress. Worst sleep of my life, and when I asked staff for 2 pillows, 2 blankets, and sheets to go on it, they didnt even have enough to give more than 1 of each. They were kind staff at least, but this hotel parking lot was empty for a reason.

Run. Our insurance got us a room because our house flooded, unfortunately I didn’t read the reviews beforehand. We walked in and immediately right back out. The room was disgusting, stains, random crumbs, mold and who knows what else we didn’t stay to find out. Took a video to show our insurance why we couldn’t stay. The front desk girl was so so sweet, my husband told me he saw a guest harassing her-we were so tired and just got out of there as fast as we could. After we got settled elsewhere he told me about it and I was concerned for her safety. This place needs to be shut down, gutted and completely redone.

Shannon was phenomenal. She went above and beyond to make sure our stay was enjoyable! Highly recommend you to go check out the hotel and meet Shannon at the front desk 💙

DISGUSTING. Dirty rooms, fuzzy bug filled pool, never got towels. In 2 days at the hotel and 3 nights never got new towels. RED in the door cracks in one of the bathrooms. I was afraid to walk in the room without shoes on. Dust covered everything. The couch had a many holes in it as mysterious stains.

Aretha Trice, Complex Property General Manager, wow, did you just say, "it was not our fault a person hit the transformer"? You really need customer service trainer. It was not your fault a person hit the transformer but it was your fault that you did not have the proper emergency generators to properly light the hallways of the facility, you put our life in danger; back up water system, clean rooms, clean towels and a cleaning service. Not to mention, the breakfast sucked. You only had 1 small waffle maker that made small waffles and hard greasy sausage. Due to these horrible circumstances, we left before getting a good nights' sleep to drive over 10 hours home. Please remove this location from American Express Program. As a matter of fact, may I be refunded for both nights.

Major issue I had was the refrigerator in the room didn't get cold. The freezer was awesome, but sadly I believe the compressor in the fridge went to the great icebox in the sky.

If I could give zero stars I would. How are the owners of this establishment okay with renting out hotel rooms that contain an excessive amount of body fluid on the furniture. Not only is that trifling, but that is a biohazard to public health. Would you be comfortable with sleeping on a couch with blood on it? SMH.

    - $10/day parking fee 👎 - Dirty hallways with trash and construction materials 👎 - Stained furniture 👎 - Lack of sufficient towels 👎 - Brought our own sanitizing wipes and were disgusted by the dirt we picked up ourselves 👎 I will give the front desk team a positive review because they always greeted us and they can’t do anything about the above situation.

I, along with my sister, stayed at the Marriott Residence Inn in Flint, Michigan. When we checked in at the front desk, we were given the room 131. Walking into the room we felt that the air conditioning wasn’t working on the over 80 degrees day. My sister called the front desk and we were given another room. I went to the front desk to exchange room keys, the young lady that checked us in said the thermostat was on emergency and that why the AC wasn’t working. My sister and I went to the new room(226) and that room had no AC and the thermostat was at 86. I went back to the front desk and when I told the same young lady the problem, she said I didn’t know how to work a thermostat and that “emergency” was between the on and off switch and she knew the AC worked in that room. I asked for maintenance to come to the room and the young lady said they couldn’t come until the next day. My sister went back to the desk and a maintenance man was there. He came to our room and said the AC didn’t work. THE MAINTENANCE MAN CAME BACK TO OUR ROOM WITH KEYS TO A ROOM WITH WORKING AC!!! Marriott Residence Inn in Flint, Michigan is not the hotel stay in!

Outside is nice, would like to have a bench to sit on outside. The lobby old, carpet very old, staff awesome. Elevator out of order I'm disabled needed it. Carpeting throughout old worn extremely dirty foul smell in hallways for carpet because the carpet in room was the same. Dirty walls in hallways. Room size nice kitchenette nice. Curtains old with either mold or cobwebs. Overall MAYDAY MAYDAY!!!Needs remodeling A.S.A.P. get rid of all the carpet, it would prevent bedbugs and other. Please please paint all the walls. But first dust them. I'm from out of state and a professional house keeper at a 4 diamond resort in Nevada. I know this place needs help. Staff was great.

I booked this thinking it would be great as it had 2 separate bedrooms. I was disgusted when I walked into the room. It was very dirty. I felt dirty just standing in the room. I had to say hello several times when I first checked in before anyone appeared. I checked in, went to the room on my way it smelled like cigarette smoke. I went in the room and it was soo gross. I can't believe how much is being charged to stay here. I went immediately and said that I refuse to stay there and got a refund. I thought there would be a standard that Marriott would have upheld for their properties. Apparently this is not the case. For $30 more I stayed at the Hampton Inn it was beautiful and clean.

Well, there is a reason this place is a hundred dollars a night cheaper than the Courtyard close by. This place looks like it was built in the early 1980’s, and the floors, the carpets, the walls all have scratches, stains or holes. Musty smell, fragrances on the carpets. (I’m sensitive to fragrances). The desk clerk was very nice, but the owners need to seriously invest in bringing this place into the 21century. No place to plug in cell phones, no extra outlets. I had to unplug a lamp to charge my phone. That kind of detail can be easily solved without great $ investment, but it is clear the owners have not invested in modernization here. Even the toilet is from the 1970’s- high flow and loud. At least it flushes ok. Photos: 1. paint chips on the wall, 2. Broken light fixture hanging loose. 3. Cracked wood flooring 4. Cracks in the floor. 5. Door handle hasn’t been cleaned in a long, long time. 6. Stains on walls. This is room 101.

We currently booked a king studio room in advance, but was told when we got there that they don't have any available. We were told by staff that we get an upgrade free of charge for another room with a king bed only to find out, it was only a queen. Smdh. Not ever have I heard of daily parking charges either so we had to pay before even getting our room. Pool is not listed on amenities, but they do have a pool. The pool area does not have any accessible towels for use at all period. We were told we have to bring our own from home or switch out the 2 towels that were provided from our room for use. We were not offer any additional towels although we were a family of 4. (2 adults, a 2 yr old and 6 yr old.) Room carpets are dirty. Sofa bed couch is dirty. All dishes and silverware were not put back properly and found in dishwasher. Things that are broken are not fix. Why? Microwave handle was broken. Mirror closet door in bathroom was out of place and will fall if open. Shampoo bottle is out of place and not glued to where it should be. Bathroom sink drains are clogged and goes down slow. Only allowed one toilet paper roll. Bathroom fan is loud and annoying. First and last time booking from this hotel.

The air was not working in our room and they just had a little portable air conditioner in one room. The bedroom did not have air being that it was separated from the living room with the air conditioner. Also the bed was definitely not a king size bed like we were supposed to have. The mattresses were extremely uncomfortable and the mattress on the pull out couch was disgusting.

I have been traveling for work for over 20 years. This was hands down the dirtiest, most run down and disgusting hotel I ever stayed at. The photos on the app look nothing like reality. Everything is shabby, dirty, and broken. Hotel lobby looks like it could double for a prison. Hotel side door is broken and wide open for any stranger to walk right in This is the worst Marriott property that I have ever seen. Walked out and went to another hotel after an hour of hearing my shoes stick to the dirty floors and stained carpets Do not stay at this property

Worst Marriott I've ever stayed in. When I checked into the room the thermostat was set at 65°F. I had to turn on the heat to 75° to get warm. There were no electricity outlets on the bedside table. The TV remote battery cover was missing and the batteries were held in place with tape. Some of my room fixtures were broken; the outside security box was ripped off. The carpets were dirty and trash was left all night. The lady behind the desk was not trained and could not find my account. I have to call Marriott to get my credits. Breakfast was limited - I was told it veggie day today.

The worst Residence Inn I've ever stayed at. Old, smelly, disgusting. Rooms are dirty, stains are everywhere starting from the room door to appliances that half work. Not sure if sheets ever get changed from guests to guests; ripped furniture, saw someone's foot print on my bed blanket while I was away from my room and 3 chocolate candles left on the pillow from housekeeping with her welcome notes, probably hoping for tips to be left. Stay away at any cost from this place. Read other guests reviews before booking. To the management of this hotel: you'd be ashamed of yourself to charge your guests that much for the horrible living conditions you're offering. Don't need your apologies, please quit your job and let others to do theirs. To the housekeeping of this hotel: hope one day you'll be treated same way you treat your guests. Remember, you have this job because of us.

The front desk staff person was very nice but the hotel itself is horrible. The room smelled musty, the curtains had blood stains on them, the window latch was broken and the hallways wreaked of marijuana. Needless to say we did not stay and were fortunately refunded our money for the nights stay. Again, the staff were very friendly and understanding of our concerns (only bright spot in that place were the staff). As we were leaving, we walked out with the Orkin Man (exterminator). I can only imagine what he was there exterminating 😳

The exterior of the building is well kept, the staff was friendly and the room was clean. However, the carpet and upholstery were worn and stained and the mattress needed replacing. Also the outside door at the end of the hall was not locked, which we felt was unsafe.

The customer service was great. However, there were so many problems here I did not stay. The 1st was the door to outside was broken. So security risk here. I tried to give it a chance after but upon walking in the building i immediately smelled smoke. Both cigarettes and more. Then upon walking in the room the furniture was dated, half the lights either didn't work or only had 1 light in them. Curtains looked like they had water damage. The room smelled moldy and i could see things crawling in the lights that did work. Saw all of this in less than 5 minutes. Absolutely do not recommend. I immediately checked out and found another hotel.

A one star is generous. Hotel is outdated, rooms were dirty. Only had two towels in the room with four people staying. Asked for more towels after checking in and was told they had none. Day two, my wife requested towels after lunch and dinner and was told they had none! I went down at 10:00 pm and still was told no towels. I responded by saying this was the fourth time we requested towels and were told the hotel didn’t have extras! I went on to say that there was only 20 cars in the parking lot(that was generous), the hotel had 300 rooms, and to get some clean towels out of an empty room. I had clean towels within in 10 min. Needless to say will not be staying here again!!!!!!
