Good Morning, I am currently staying in room 223 and would like to express my disappointment and give some feedback on our stay. Firstly, however, the staff have been very polite. I called reception and asked for ice and 2 glasses and they were very accommodating and prompt. They also brought up our take out delivery which we weren't expecting them to do so that was a lovely surprise. Our room was £99 for the night and didn't include breakfast. I felt considering the area it's quite a high price and found an 'on the day' booking for £62 on the booking.com website. To add breakfast would have been an extra £25 for two people. I feel this is quite expensive. I understand that with the pandemic there will no doubt be price increases but the prices should reflect the stay and I don't feel it does. Our room is a good size but the decor is very dated. There are chips in the doors, the bathroom door is very loud on opening and closing. There are cobwebs on the ceiling which makes you wonder how clean the room actually is and the TV is tiny and put in an alcove. The mattress seems very old, it has collapsed and there are lumps and dips all over it. There is also a hole in the duvet cover and the duvet was too small for the cover. I have attached some photographs for reference and although the staff were lovely I don't feel we will be returning as our nights sleep was so uncomfortable. Wishing you all the best and kind regards,

Absolutely fantastic, we've had a lovely 2 night stay and will definitely be back!! The staff are shopping lovely especially the house keepers. They go above and beyond and nothing is to much trouble :) lovely staff in the restaurant and bar, there's nothing they won't try to help with. They were so accommodating as my partner had a mobility scooter. Lovely, lovely place and the plus plus is the food was gorgeous 😍

A massive Thank you to the Beaufort Park Hotel for all their help with an event I recently held. Hannah and Mark couldn’t of been more helpful in the planning and execution of the event. The chefs did an amazing job with the menu and catered to every need. Annie and her team did a brilliant job of taking care of us on the evening and couldn’t do enough to keep guests happy. Everybody had an amazing and memorable night and that was thanks to the staff going above and beyond on the night to make it special. I truly appreciate it and can’t Thank you all enough. Emma.

Had an overnight stay. Dinner, bed, and breakfast . The staff that served the evening meal were fantastic. Went above and beyond to make the experience a very enjoyable time. Breakfast was great, plenty of variety.

The room was spacious and very clean. Comfortable mattress, plenty of pillows, good quality towels. The bathroom could do with a refurb - looking a bit dated. Breakfast was good but would have liked more vegan choices. Milk alternative would have been great too. Overall we had a good stay. The room was excellent value for money but the hotel itself would benefit from a refurb in some areas.

What can we say about this hotel but so, so run down. The walls are paper thin you can hear people snoring next room, bed was hard as anything, the rooms are run down, the shower was a dribble and had to run round to get wet, the toilet seat was hanging off and the breakfast was absolutely disgusting. The staff on the other hand where very friendly but if you want to stay here I would drive past and find somewhere else. Very poor hotel and the worst we have ever stayed in unfortunately.

Stayed here overnight, after wedding reception. Lovely hotel very clean spacious rooms. Staff very polite and helpful. Perfect nights sleep, bed extremely comfortable. Great choice at breakfast. Cereal, fruit, toast. Beautiful and hot cooked breakfast served by waitress. Cannot fault our stay. Would most definitely stay here again.

It’s been really nice 2 nights stay with this lovely countryside hotel. They upgraded our room stay as our anniversary and the staff been helpful and friendly! Ample parking spaces and spacious garden The breakfast buffet is great and staff is very friendly and efficient! Dinner is well prepared and delicious and good value for the drinks! We would recommend this place and come back again soon. Keep up the good work team Beaufort Park 💐☀️

Great location. Reasonable price. This must have been a beautiful place, in its day. It needs refurbishment and the room needed a deep clean. I was happy that they allowed dogs so my partner and our small Jack Russell bedded down for two nights. We came home full of flea bites!! The staff member at the front desk was very helpful. She explained that they had to change our room due to the one that I originally booked, didn't allow dogs. I just wish it had been treated beforehand!

Friendly staff, nice size rooms. Upstairs windows open wide which was great as it was warm. Good selection of food.

The good: easy to get to, spacious, clean rooms. Evening meals were nice. Staff friendly and helpful. The not so good: Bedroom was very dated and cold (electric heater was quckly supplied when we complained which sorted this though). Quality of breakfast varied each morning, sometimes nice, sometimes not so nice. I understand that costs have risen and have no doubt affected how this independent hotel is able to run, but we wouldn't consider returning (we visit the area 3-4 times a year) unless we knew the rooms had been refreshed. They were in the process of updating some of the conference areas and restaurant (which looked nice), so perhaps a room update is due soon?

Great value hotel. Rooms were being refurbished during our stay so star rating reflects the old which we're very clean and comfortable. Service was excellent and all the staff were friendly and helpful. Food was good too. The location for us was perfect....we visited many places in North Wales.

Pleasant staff. The food was decent and reasonably priced. We stopped in for a light lunch after a long walk and sat outside. Would definitely go again.

Had a lovely overnight stay ..we will more than likely be using this hotel again but no lift is issue, so only if they can guarantee a ground floor room ... thank you

The room was decently priced. Furniture is dated but actually makes it feel more homely. Light fixtures in the bathroom are slightly rusted. Overall the room was very clean. However the robes in our room were dirty/used. I called down to reception and they apologised and sent clean ones up straight away. The food in the restaurant was lovely and even the 3am sandwich tasted great.

Stayed here for 4 nights. The rooms are comfortable and cleaned to a good standard. Breakfast was excellent with High quality food and efficient friendly service. Unfortunately where this hotel fails is their evening meal service. To be fair 2 of the nights we received excellent professional service and excellent food. But on the other 2 nights I wouldn't feed the main meal which was steak pie to my dog! Also the service was diabolical with no leadership and very inexperienced and rude waiting staff. Sadly on our final night the service was poor.

Set in a peaceful location away from the town and main road. The room was comfortable and spacious with a sofa to relax on. Reception service is available 24/7 and nothing seems too much trouble for them, whatever your request.

On the plus side, staff, particularly restaurant staff, are lovely - friendly and eager to make you feel welcome - and the hotel was quiet overnight. Also plenty of parking and the bed linen seemed clean. However, on entry to my room there was a strong chemical smell and a faint background odour of mildew/damp. The net curtains were dingy and covered two windows, one of which looked out into a dark exterior passageway, which was quite depressing and made the whole room appear dull and tired. On the hygiene side, the headboard was fabric which - unlike wood or plastic - can't be wiped clean between guests. Also, in the bathroom the towels were hung just a few inches from the toilet, which is unhygienic as even with the toilet seat down some spray from the flush will always escape. This isn't any criticism of hotel staff. It's an older establishment and some aspects of the rooms, or at least the room I stayed in, need refreshing. If that was done it would be a convenient and decent place to stay, but as it is I found my room unpleasant.

This is a great find for this area. I booked a classic twin room for myself, and OK the room was a little tired and looked a little dated, but it was very clean. Breakfast was superb in every respect, please don't change anything with that. The only negative, I wish the management would invest in some quiet door closers, every door in the hotel slams shut so loud which spoils what is otherwise a very peaceful location. Great value for money and I will be making use of ' Work From Hotel' in the near future.

Had 3 nights this weekend for Christmas markets trip. Dining room service was a shambles. Our turkey Xmas dinner was trying to be silver service and failed miserably. Meat was put on plate but no vegetables waited 10 minutes then plates were taken back to kitchen, presumably to heat the turkey. Then returned with potatoes and rock hard veg on the plates. The gentleman on our table did not have enough, there was no serving dish provided with extra vegetables . The second night was beef dinner. We were 9 on the table and only given 8 portions. one serving dish with 6 potatoes 3 sprouts and carrots. We asked for more and waiter told us they gave each table 1 dish to make sure everyone had enough. How do you share 3 sprouts between 9. There was no organisation and the young waiting staff are obviously untrained. Bedroom was very tired and dated, chips in bath and no walk in shower, which is an issue for the elderly. Breakfast was good so there is obviously a different chef in the morning. There was an event on the Friday night and as our bedroom was overlooking the car park we were kept awake until 1 a.m with noisy partygoers waiting for taxis to arrive. I will not be booking this hotel again.

This is local to me so I've been here many times. Value for money in terms of food and drink is excellent. Nice area outside to sit. Never stayed here so can't comment on the rooms but I find the service a little hit and miss. Sometimes it's great but we have had poor experiences as well.

Called in for something to eat on the way home after an afternoon walking. It was getting late but they were still serving meals until 9.30pm. The menu had a good choice & we both enjoyed our meals.

The rooms are very shabby. The chair was broken (there was no base to it but there was a cushion so you sank when you sat in it). The bedside lamps were shabby. Hot water took about 10 minutes to finally come out of the shower. The view out of the window was depressing. The doors slammed very loudly so difficult to sleep. The staff were lovely though.

Standard hotel, although you could hear folks in the rooms next door talking. However, as there were three granny tours in the noise died down at 9pm as they all went to bed. Lol Food is fantastic- I can recommend the piri piri chicken

We stayed here for 2 nights for a wedding, the staff were all fantastic and really could not of done anymore for us, they worked together as a proud team and made our weekend very special. The food was superb and the bar area was very friendly with a welcoming atmosphere. Thank you Beaufort Park Hotel for a fantastic stay and we will definitely be returning.

This was the dirtiest and most dated hotel I have ever stayed in - and I’ve stayed in some proper bad hotels. The bath had a brown stain all the way around it. The walls were stained. The carpet had burn marks and stains and was sticky underfoot. Stains around the bed headboard! The furniture was from the 70s, and not in a good way. All the plastic fittings were yellowed on the walls, and the shower thermostat had gone so it was hot and cold alternately. And then there was breakfast. It was a greasy affair. Undercooked sausages and croissants in a bag. It is baffling how this has such a high rating. I read other reviews after seeing our room and realised complaining would get me nowhere, so that’s why I didn’t bother.

Third visit to this hotel, and it's still as relaxing. Decor could maybe do with a bit of updating, but rooms and hotel are spotlessly clean. Staff are attentive and friendly, now that it's table service due to ongoing pandemic, they have their work cut out. Food is generous portions- really enjoyed the hand cut home made chips, certainly makes a difference from those thin potato fries. Would recommend a stay if asked

Ate here at the restaurant. Food was fantastic. Seems to be quite a lot of home-made offerings - the pâté, for example, which was amazing! We were a party of ten and everyone was satisfied. The service was excellent too. Only thing I think could have been better, was the seating arrangement. Possibly there was good reason for it but our table was positioned where two walkways converge, with a good view down one of the corridors into the services/kitchen area for one side of our table. The slightly more pleasant and private area to the side of us remained empty for our entire visit so I would have preferred that space for our group and it might have freed up some space in the corridors for the staff constantly moving up and down them. Overall though, a very pleasant visit with excellent food and service. Highly recommended!

Very professional, helpful and courteous staff. Room was simple but value for the price. Nice, comfortable bed. The restaurant offers a good choice of meals for reasonable prices. Fish and chips was excellent and in the morning a great choice for breakfast which was also extremely tasty. Well worth booking for the money.

Good stay here, lady on reception who checked us in was lovely. Dog friendly (there is a charge). A little tired and the shower was terrible (good temperature but bad pressure). Ate at the restaurant/bar, it was ok. Breakfast was nice, buffet style, not a huge range but enough. Bed was very comfy.

Partner has a disability. On website stated wheelchair accessibility. We were put into a drab room. Wheelchair could hardly fit through door. Maintenance man had to move wardrobe. I moved chest of drawers and the bed. Could not get wheelchair into bathroom. Asked for a larger room but none available. It was supposed to be a Deluxe Gourmet Escape. We booked for two nights. My partner could not use bathroom. When I booked I asked for a disabled room. I also rang to confirm that the room was wheelchair friendly and had grab rails. The meal was not “gourmet “. We left the following morning. The hotel has a Disability Policy which states “Although none of the rooms have specifically adapted bathrooms with walk in shower facilities, we do have a number of rooms which are ground floor with extra grab rails, wider doorways and turning spaces”. It was my partner’s 84th birthday.

The location was convenient for an event we were attending nearby. The hotel is like taking a step back in time both inside and out. The room we stayed in was 237, it was small, unwelcoming and shabby. The decor could be likened to a care-home. The bathroom lighting was dim and the cladding had a hole in it, the skirting boards were dirty. The room and the corridors had a musty smell. Breakfast, whilst being tasty, was chaotic. There was no system in place for such a large hotel. The staff were obviously under stress as were the guests. People were becoming upset at having to wait for so long. We were told ‘have a seat and we’ll get to you when we can’. The waiter had an argument with a lady, she was visibly upset and the atmosphere was terrible. On checking out, I wasn’t asked how the stay had been. I was told to post the key card in the slot on the top of the desk.

Had a great 2 day stay. All staff very friendly, the breakfast was excellent. The rooms are a little dated but can't fault it for the money. Drinks at the bar are affordable. I would definitely stay here again.

Booked this hotel as a base for our snowdonia trekking The staff were incredibly polite and helpful, especially the lady at the bar who helped me with some unsavoury wedding guests. Dog friendly for small well-behaved dogs at £15 is extremely reasonable Rooms a bit tired and outdated but still clean and presentable with lots of storage space, a TV and big windows for the hotter days. Lovely hotel and will be returning for our next visit to North Wales!

  • 4/5 Paul S. 1 year ago on Google
A mix bag. Although the decor is showing its age, every thing was very clean and tidy. We had issues with our evening meal, the staff were young, inexperienced and a little disorganised at times. A table of 9 had some waiting for plates, while others who had been served their chicken, had to watch it go cold before their vegetables and gravy arrived. Other tables had similar problems. The hotel cater to small family gatherings as well as large weddings and birthdays. The staff were friendly and obliging. The bar was reasonably priced and they had a turn on the Friday we visited from 9pm. A singer, belting out all the greats. We had a fun time. The hotel is ideal if your visiting northern Wales and is also not far from Chester, which is worth a visit (walk the city wall)

Rooms are a bit tired/dated with no power points near the bed but they still have a bath with shower. Great service quickly provided extension cables, ironing board and iron. Located a couple of miles outside Mold Town centre.

We stayed at Beaufort Park Hotel as part of a coach party 11.02.23. From start to finish could not fault it, reception staff quickly and efficiently checked in 50 plus guests in around 5 minutes. Room spotlessly clean, furnishings whilst some might say dated, really solid, good quality and more than adequate. Bedding good quality spotlessly clean, beds very comfortable, slept really well. Room warm, easy to control heating, kettle, tea and coffees making facilities. Service in restaurant excellent for evening meal and breakfast. Good choice on set menu included in trip. Excellent selection at breakfast of cereals, juice, fruit, juice and hot foods.

The staff are the stars of the show here, fantastic customer service and very hard working. Although our room was dated, the TV is very small, it was clean and presentable. If you suffer with the heat, it might be best to ask for a fan, windows don't open a huge way and no air con. Lovely big fluffy towels. Food was very good quality and value for money. Great to be able to eat on site after a long day exploring the Welsh countryside. Loads of parking and great if you have a motorbike, you can park close to the reception. Perfect location for exploring North Wales.

Only stayed here for the one night easy to find though website directions misleading. Room clean and had good shower. Breakfast was chaotic no one greeted us and we were left to find our own table which had not been cleared. Cooked breakfast adequate but otherwise limited choice only filter coffee served. Would consider staying here again if price was right.

  • 1/5 P E. 1 year ago on Google
The room smelt damp and musky and was very dated, with black mould in the bathroom, cobwebs, peeling paint, stains on the wall which looked to be tea/coffee that wasn't cleaned and stained carpet in the room, frayed carpets in the hallway. Due to the hotel being full there was no alternative room. Thankfully only for one night, irrelevant of the price a clean room was expected, really disappointing stay as we had our wedding reception in this hotel 28 years ago and thought it would be nice to stay again while visiting the UK.

I attended an event dinner here. It was well run in their events room which appears to have been recently redecorated. Good tasty food, pleasant service & reasonable drinks options. Just watch out for the taps in the event/restaurant toilets... (Twist rather than push or sensor operated, and the hot water is very hot.)

We had a fabulous night at the Beaufort Christmas party night last night. Three course vegan meal which was the best vegan meal we have ever had! The staff were friendly and super helpful and it was excellent value for money. We would highly recommend.

We booked a room for us two plus dog at very short notice after a mixup with our planned B&B. Jess the receptionist was very kind and efficient and we were booked in smoothly and efficiently. Upon arrival we were checked in with a minimum of fuss. Our room was on the ground floor. The hotel is not hip and trendy with boutique fixtures and decor. It is clean, tidy and functional and the same can be said for our room which was in a quiet part of the building. The beds were very comfortable and the bath was large with plenty of hot water. The bar and restaurant welcomes dogs in the conservatory area and the staff in both were extremely kind and welcoming. Our dog was fussed (which he loves) and we were all made to feel very welcome. Breakfast was self service but excellent quality with staff constantly monitoring and replacing supplies. I can honestly say I have never stayed at a hotel with such friendly and helpful staff. If you want a comfy place ti stay when travelling with your dog try here and you won't be sorry

Easy to book, warm and friendly staff, clean rooms, happy to accommodate vegan dietary requirements. Breakfast was delightful (as a vegan) in that there was soya milk and flora butter (dairy free) out so no need to request anything. If I'm in the area again I will definitely suggest as a place to stay.

Nice hotel and very popular with the aged so everything is done in pensioner time (think Mr. Bean stuck behind an old woman on the staircase). The staff, room and breakfast was nice, though the shower in some rooms is risible and will also make you feel like you're in a comedy.

  • 5/5 Kim P. 1 year ago on Google
Lovely hotel, immaculately clean. Couple little suggestions; the quilt on the bed was very thin and there was no spare blanket, I guess I could have asked for one the next day, but that doesn't help if only staying one night. We had to put the heating on because the room was cold when we arrived. If there had been a spare blanket we could have turned the heating off overnight. On a plus note, the breakfast is brilliant.
