Not usually one to write reviews but I've stayed here on a couple of occasions now and both times it's been great. The staff were friendly and extremely helpful! Thanks again for making my visit to Wales a lovely one 😊

It is what it is, a place to put your head down and sleep.

Entrance door needs attention does not look very inviting. Car park needs resurfacing and was covered in litter. It appears that general maintenance needs improvement but the room was comfortable and satisfactory. Access to the westbound A55 was difficult as it involved a long detour.

Comfortable room .The building is completely run down with mold everywhere. The carpets on the corridor seems to be from medieval times. There were used towels on the floor when we went in .The staff (1 available) try their very best to deal with things. There is Gregs and Costa next door and a petrol station too which is handy .Overall 3/5

Stayed in a family room with a 4 year old. Bathroom was full of mould and had soap scum stains all under the sink. The room smelt of nothing apart from damp - there were no towels in the room so we had to go to reception and request towels. Beds had small stains on. A 2 day stay was not worth the price of £170 at all.

Very friendly staff good size rooms. Nice hot shower with very good water pressure. The only issue I had was with the toilet it took two days to flush away what I did. It was not anything any other normal person would have deposited in the toilet but for some reason the water flow from the flush just didn't move any thing. Would stay again but toilet flush needs improvement

While this is a simple Travelodge, beside the A55 in North Wales, it's the staff that make it a great motel. I had to stay for a few days. They were friendly and accomodating from the moment I arrived. The rooms are serviceable and clean. An insight Starbucks and convenience store in the petrol station meant I had everything I needed on site. I've been back a few times, and would recommend it. Useful for; breaking a journey to the airport or staying for an easy flight. Useful for; travelling into North Wales.

Typical Travelodge. I think they are fine. There is a Greggs and Starbucks adjacent. The EE signal is rubbish in the hotel. It was very quiet and I got a good night's sleep. There is also a shell petrol station.

Late check in and short stay in after ferry journey. But room was of a poor standard for the price. Baby's travel cot too small and unsafe for our little one and they had nothing more suitable, water refilling noise from the toilet was very loud through the night and there was no shower gel in the dispenser.

This will be OK if you just want a bed for the night it is based at a service station which has a shell garage costa coffee and greggs which closes at 5pm. So for the night you have no choice but to either drive into the nearest village of pay extrodanate prices for coffee sandwiches a bottle of coke is £1.90 so if you have kids please be aware it is also dated it could do with a make over dirty looking carpets in the hall ways. So the good point is the rooms are cheap and the staff really good but that's it Sorry for the negitivity not like me I understand they are all coming out of COVD-19 but still not acceptable

Good location, staff are lovely, hotel and room very clean *however* showers are developing mildew / mould though. Didn't feel like the bathroom extractor was that powerful. Would still stay here again all the same.

Location will not help with any mobile provider. No Internet or very less. Highly recommend to pay for WiFi to Travelodge with your booking if you want to be connected. With £85 a night charge room were not upto standard. Room were not clean. Staffs are very friendly.

Good young staff, very good shower and bed OK. On the negative side: very tired decor; I'll fitting windows (just as well it was September not November); VERY disappointing that no milk alternative was available for breakfast in this day and age!

The room was clean, tidy & very basic as expected. However, the location was disappointing. It was right next to an A road so a very busy road to join when going out. The hotel was also next to a Greggs & a Starbucks, which is fine but the litter that was left ruined the surroundings. The drive in past a large Shell garage also made it feel like you were staying in a service station. The road down to the hotel again was strewn with rubbish!

Staff really friendly, from the reception to cleaning staff. Views actually a pleasant surprise for a service station digs- We stayed in room 37 and has a veiw of fields and trees. Could do with a few more essentials like glasses, hair dryer and plug sockets although this seems a common problem with Travelodge. Hotal and room clean and smelt very fresh. Corona precautions in place and adhered to. Bed comfy. Price reasonable considering school holidays. All in all recommended! :)

Room was nice and spacious. Considering how close it is to the dual carriageway it was very quiet. The bed was comfortable. What let it down was the breakfast to go which was pretty pathetic

  • 2/5 Robert F. 7 months ago on Google
Room was clean, but had to ask for toilet paper since it was nearly out when I checked in. Nothing fancy, which for the price I guess was expected. No outlets near bed, so if you're traveling with a device you need to plug in, be aware.

Toilets are filthy. You can see a thick layer of dust on the urinals. These haven’t been cleaned in weeks. This has got to be one of the worst services Ive ever stopped at.

Not a very nice place to stay at all, they have a rat problem, and don't seem to care too much about it. Disappointing, it's also located on the side of the A55 so there is nothing around apart from a petrol station, there is a Greggs and a Costa but I would not eat there if I was starving, because of the rat issue, sorry.

  • 4/5 simon k. 7 months ago on Google
Basic accommodation, only really accessible from the A55, no good if cycling or on foot.

Overall ok but few issues with room not all lighting was working properly also car parking lighting not working at all issue was raised with manager apparently on many occasions not good for health and safety and security

Stayed for one night as going to an event close by and paid for late check out as on the edge of a busy dual carriageway just had a walk to starbucks by the hotel.the room was fine looks newly decorated new carpets .bed was good and extra pillows.tea and coffee with kettle.loved staying at the back as quiet and watching the birds in the trees.the bathroom .the bath for me was a hit as im arthritc struggle to get in a shower over a high sided bath.and had a grab rail plus a none slip surface in the bath so enjoyed my morning shower.breakfast was served in a box with bowl pkt cornflakes flap jack crossoiant orange juice carton of milk and spoon was good brought bowls home with us.

Pretty standard Travelodge experience though sometimes the rooms smell pretty bad and are shockingly overpriced for what you get. Very well located for travellers on the A55, and remarkably quiet for its location right next to the very busy A road.

Had problems with the electrics in the room but staff were great and sorted out a different room for us. Location is ok for travel to and from Chester and Wales but it's just at the services and loads of rubbish from the Greg's that is on site and rats running about on the car park would not say there again

The ground floor room had a window that didn't lock which left the room freezing all night. When reported to he receptionist (eden) I was informed that the manager knew about it. Therefore the manager knew about it and let the room anyway. The bed has a huge dip In the middle so was like sleeping on the side of a pit. Overall the experience was terrible

Nice enough hotel, mostly clean apart from under the bed etc. great sized room with a high quality telly in. Gregg's next door so a great breakfast for under a fiver! The main road you have to use to get to it can be quite busy and we found it impossible to get a taxi trying multiple local companies and Uber. If you decide to go on a walk, watch out for giant hogweed along the path. Check out service was a lovely little dog who wished us well on our way.

  • 5/5 Daniel B. 10 months ago on Google
Shout out to Chris who sorted out a taxi for us 4. All the ones on the wall couldn’t help and Chris stepped in to save the day. In terms of the hotel, it’s a good little Travelodge. The room we had was nice and clean and the beds were comfy as well. No complaints from us!

  • 5/5 Rachel B. 9 months ago on Google
Really friendly staff (especially the man working Wednesday 5th until 11pm (sorry we didn't catch your name) and Derek). Room was clean and comfortable, good value for money. Travel cot was provided and we were able to use the fridge behind reception to keep breast milk in overnight. Will be back. Improvements that could be made would be having an extra set of pillows in the room and new travel cots - it was functional but a bit tired.

Absolutely filthy throughout the room, mould and damp all over the bathroom, had to ask for a pillow and when it was brought to the room it stank of cigarette smoke, bathroom door wouldn't shut, generally filthy place, will not be returning, only saving grace was greggs next door...

Booked a room here as we where attending a wedding just down the road. This has to be the worst travelodge I’ve ever seen the carpets are old and discoloured where they are so worn, the whole place sticks of bleach covered mould and the window didn’t work to even get the smell out. The room was filthy with marks on the bed, the toilet seat was broken and the flush was also temperamental. We where that disgusted with the room that we drove home after the wedding and didn’t bother staying. I’ve stayed at plenty of travelodge’s in the past and never had an issue but this place needs knocking down as it’s a disgrace to the business

So the location of this hotel in at the bottom of a hill which means nowhere in the hotel can you get any phone signal! You have to go to the Shell petrol station to get just 1 bar of service. I stayed in two rooms. Both were a little bit outdated, probably one of the worst Travelodge’s I’ve stayed in. The soap dispenser were empty upon arrival. The beds and shower were good quality. For the price of the stay I was disappointed.

Cheap and clean place to stay if you are near Chester. Slight issue you can only approach from one side of dual carriageway. But good.

This really is a dismal place, located in a no mans land of misery. Take supplies and expect the minimum and you'll be happy. Bed, hot water and not much else. A nearby petrol station is handy but doesn't sell booze.

(Translated by Google) With this review I want to make a small comparison between two travelodges that I have recently visited about 30 km from each other. Let's start with the Chester northop car park which is in front of the main entrance with spaces for the disabled, while in the colwyn Bay car park is in the Super market down the road about 50 meters away. Also in the parking lot there are a Starbucks Cafè is another place to have breakfast, as in the travelodges I visited there are no restaurants and breakfast is served with a takeaway package where inside you will find a package of milk, Kellogg's cereal a muffin and an orange juice for about 5 pounds currently. The rooms are similar, the linen is clean and the bed is made impeccably, be careful to remember to put the pink tag outside the door when you leave because otherwise the room will not be made !!! Same goes for the bathrooms are similar with impeccable linens, a bit tight in my opinion. Sore point of the Chester northop compared to the other is the cleanliness of the room which leaves something to be desired from my point of view. Finally, to reach the Chester northop you have to go along a freeway and then to exit you must always go back over the same taking the exit you need. In front there is also a petrol station with a small market next to it.
