Just checked in. Michelle on reception was an absolute diamond. Lovely welcome and easy check in. Gave some good local info and it was a joy speaking with her. Nice room. 2 seats and a rable in the large bay window. Nice super king bed, very comfortable. Welcome drink and breakfast included. Super value

Lovely setting. Comfortable pleasant longe and excellent restaurant. Hotel has charm but a tad faded. However for value for money I have given the full 5 stars.

Great find, 20 minutes outside Chester, price good and welcoming but rooms are a bit tired but comfortable. Dog friendly too. Great breakfast shown below!

Was worried after reading some reviews on Trip Advisor. However, I was pleasantly surprised. Such a lovely place with even lovelier staff! Excellent price too!

Lovely hotel set back from the main roads, lovely cows on the fields our front and even nicer gardens to sit and have a drink in. Rooms were clean and comfortable, could do with some minor revamps but lovely for what we paid.

Charming Hotel Need a place to stay neat to Deeside, a cut above the resr, good value, set in parkland. Bar and restaurant are both good quality and value.

I stayed for a number of days and found it to be quiet and relaxing. It is clean inside and my room was also clean and comfortable. Large TV with full freeview and apps to link a smartphone to. The area is mostly farmland but easy to get to local shops for supplies or food. The walk is pleasant and simple via the one road. The furnishings are period styled, reflective of the hotel. There is some work going on with the restaurant and bar, but there was no noise or maintenance activity that i saw aside from a painter doing some work outside during the day. It has a beautiful large garden facing the hotel and surrounding fields with lots of trees. The staff are really nice. The receptionist (Bash) was always busy keeping things tidy, and he was always on hand when i needed anything. The cleaner was alwas about if needed, too. It had a mixed clientele, but i hardly saw them. Once the restaurant and bar are open and the entire hotel is accessible, it will be fantastic. There is a local gym with sauna and pool not too far from the previously mentioned shops, too. The WiFi is very powerful, with no need for data to be turned on. The room has light dimmers as well. You don't get many hotels of this type for the price. See online photos of the building and area.

Do not stay at this hotel. Lots of strange men hanging about and no staff around. We waited downstairs for 15mins to try get a towel, pressed bells etc but no one came. We left without staying overnight as two women we felt unsafe. As we pulled up to the hotel there were a lot of men hanging around the front door. As we left men were in a group wandering around the hotel. I'm not sure what this hotel is being used for but it shouldn't be available for paying customers to book. It is isolated also. Never stay here! Be warned
