Fantastic local hardware shop. Often pop in for little bits for jobs at home and the staff are really helpful. They have most the essentials and can give you what you need, so you don't need to buy 10m of cable for a job which only needs 1m!

Great local shop. If they haven't got what you want chances are they can get it for you. More than happy to pay for the convenience and service, and seem to be coping well with covid restrictions, although the odd customer just doesn't get 'one way'.

Massive selection of stuff that will come in handy around the house and for DIY. Also does watch battery changes. Really friendly and helpful staff.

Trip down memory lane yesterday. Called in for a bean slicer having tried every where in surrounding areas and I had the absolute pleasure of seeing Mr Brown himself after all these years. He is incredible still working at 98 yrs an absolute legend of a man and the store is just packed with everything you need from a hardware store. John Brown Hardware, on the High Street in Nailsea, is a really valuable resource in the town. The range of goods for sale is extensive and includes all types of hardware, gardening items, tools, paints, electrical, plumbing and other DIY equipment. Additionally, there is a good kitchen shop with lots of cooking utensils and aids. The staff are knowledgeable and helpful.

A fantastic, friendly, professional and helpful local shop that will literally have anything large or small for garden and home as their shop is an Aladdin's cave! All the staff are so friendly and will do everything to make you feel welcome and will help you with any product they sell. If they haven't got it in stock, they can usually order it for you. I find this high level of customer service is not found in the larger DIY outlets these days.

A modern version of the old-fashioned ironmonger with staff who know their products and are unfailingly helpful. They succeed because they add genuine value with advice and service even if it costs an odd penny more than the lowest price online merchant. Every town needs a John Brown!

Hands down the best shop on Nailsea high street. There quite simply isn't anything they don't keep in stock. We do our best to get all our DIY bits from Browns. Having just finished a large building project we have needed everything from sockets, paint, grass seed and bark and managed to obtain it all. Their pricing is very competitive even against the likes of Wickes and B&Q. The staff are always super friendly and very knowledgeable. It is vital that we keep shops such as this going and give them all the support we can.
