Left
bank
of
the
Arno
River,
in
the
part
of
the
city
called
'Oltrarno'.
Some
aspects
of
times
gone
by,
the
famous
frescoes
of
Mantegna
and
Masolino
(Cappella
Brancacci,
Chiesa
di
Santa
Maria
del
Carmine),
not
too
far,
and
a
light
sensation
that
nobody
is
living
around
here.
Nevertheless,
this
place,
'Libreria
Cafe',
popped
up
unespected
in
this
march'
cold
morning
as
a
nice
spot,
sort
of
cozy
and
shabby
a
little
bit,
but...
chic.
Two
floors,
some
intimacy,
little
tables,
young
people
in
and
out
some
of
them
staying
for
hours,
singles
and
couples,
laptops
in
hardworking...in
a
good
smelling
of
coffee,
mostly
'american'
though.
'Panini'
and
cocktails
also,
a
little
dehors
I
assume
not
that
comfortable
due
to
the
street
very
close.
My
espresso,
served
as
ialians
like,
whit
an
help
of
cold
milk
(E.
1.20)
was
acceptable,
as
a
good
tasting
'pasta
sfoglia',
but
with
a
price
(E
1.50)
of...
Piazza
della
Signoria
(that
offers
a
certain....
view
though,
which
helps
to
accept
overvalued
prices).
If
scrolling
in
Oltrarno
a
stop
by
here
could
be
'simpatico'
anyway,
even
the
music
is
too
loud.
