Very friendly service of very delicious items. We had a whiskey sour, cappuccino, chocolate cookie, and espresso. Staff is very customer service oriented.

Very nice cozy coffee place. Coffee is delicious and so are the biscuits and cakes. Nice to read or even work here for a while, or just sit with friends and have a drink. The wine selection by the glass is on spot ! Staff very friendly and attentive.

Very nice cafe to have a drink, relax and work. Drinks are a bit on expensive side, but the ambience makes up for it. The staff were very friendly, but the owner didn't seem as pleasant.

Nice service. Nice atmosphere. Breakfast options include pastries and cakes mostly. They were all delicious, including the croissants, cheesecake and red velvet cake. The cappuccino was mild and perfect. This is a great chill coffee shop to relax and read a book or work.

Cute little cafe on the south side of the Arno. Did not feel touristy at all, could tell most people were locals working, studying etc. their cakes so amazing and it was a nice place to decompress for a bit since the ambiance is absolutely perfect. Would 100% return if I’m ever in Florence again!

Considering I completely misunderstood the concept of the cafe, I’ve to rewrite my review! The sweets and cocktails were super tasty and well made, the atmosphere and vibe was amazing!

Really nice and cozy place to study or read. €4 for a double cappuccino and a croissant.

Very nice and cozy place. Kind of retro interior. Good service, affordable prices (cappuccino 1,5 Euro, latte macchiato - 3 Euro). Lots of desserts, types of coffee and tea, something to eat as well, but did not tried. 2 stores, with very picturesque view. Highly recommended!

Probably the best café to relax in i have found in Florence. I’d like to say it’s little known but I think its secret is well and truly out. That said you can usually find a nook because it’s blessed with a lot of different types of seating. Lots of people come here to work during the day, gradually it evolves into a wine bar in the evening. I’ve eaten a meal once (lunch, pasta con funghi) and it was v good too. Music soundtrack is consistently great, sometimes a visitor also plays some jazz on the (appropriately) out of tune piano.

Stopped by for a Panini, cake & coffee. Beautiful place and atmosphere. Finally a place where the staff are smiling. Great for work, too.

We just got cappuccinos to go but what an awesome little coffee shop! I'd love to return to sit and relax in the 2 floors or great atmosphere!

Such a cozy and amazing place to have a drink, coffee, read a book, go and study or work. Such a vibe with the music. And their specials for lunch are so good. I wish I could give it more stars of how good it is.

Super cool place, great taste of music. I am here working and able to focus on my work while enjoying live life around me. Nice and friendly staff. Highly recommended if you are in Florance and must work or study meanwhile :)))

Left bank of the Arno River, in the part of the city called 'Oltrarno'. Some aspects of times gone by, the famous frescoes of Mantegna and Masolino (Cappella Brancacci, Chiesa di Santa Maria del Carmine), not too far, and a light sensation that nobody is living around here. Nevertheless, this place, 'Libreria Cafe', popped up unespected in this march' cold morning as a nice spot, sort of cozy and shabby a little bit, but... chic. Two floors, some intimacy, little tables, young people in and out some of them staying for hours, singles and couples, laptops in hardworking...in a good smelling of coffee, mostly 'american' though. 'Panini' and cocktails also, a little dehors I assume not that comfortable due to the street very close. My espresso, served as ialians like, whit an help of cold milk (E. 1.20) was acceptable, as a good tasting 'pasta sfoglia', but with a price (E 1.50) of... Piazza della Signoria (that offers a certain.... view though, which helps to accept overvalued prices). If scrolling in Oltrarno a stop by here could be 'simpatico' anyway, even the music is too loud.

La Cité is a wonderful Caffè, inviting anyone looking for a place to read, study, or relax. The library like ambiance and decorations are what make this caffè so fascinating. They feature a nice menu of drink and food options, I highly recommend trying their special cappuccinos, I got the Avena one. Alongside friendly staff and great background music, La Cité quickly became one of my favorite Caffè in Firenze!

Best discovery we had in Florence to chill out with a drink. The place is super cool inside, warm, with a great decor, a library to read, games like chess to play, it has wifi, good cocktails, good chill out music, and friendly waiters. Totally recommend

The best study spot in all of Firenze! Large, cozy, and chill. And the staff is so kind. Highly recommend this place!

The best place to study, read, write, and have an espresso. There is a lot of space, many different seating areas, and really friendly staff. The books are mostly in Italian which sucks if you can't read them, but the atmosphere is really bohemian. One of my favorite little finds near Sant Spirito.

Great bar with a really nice vibe, it may not be full during the week but it has a nice, artsy ambiance and beautiful interior. I also enjoyed some electronic music playing but seems that the playlist varies per day.

Cozy and retro cafe with lots of colors, books and good vibes. I stopped here after walking around for 3 hours and it’s a great rest stop.

Great ambiance and good price for drinks (the house wine in particular). Would recommend for an afternoon drink with friends in a relaxed environment.

Exactly the kind of cafe I was looking for in Florence… makes every other place look sterile by comparison. Art, books, interesting antiques, nice music. Comfy vibe. Great cappuccino, friendly people. Came back here several times during our week long stay.

I couldn't help but visit this lovely establishment twice! The coffee was just what I needed and the cakes were unbelievably good. Do yourself a favor: get a cake. The pasta I had was noticeably microwaved, but somehow I couldn't find a fault with it despite one cold spot in the dish, it was still delicious. I think it can be a little tricky to order/get your food if you're not very adept at Italian/Italian ordering habits. This would be a 4.5 if possible

Lovely place, quiet with boho, artistic vibe. The coffee is great and the drinks too. Elvira helped us with our order with a big smile, made all efforts to make us feel comfortable. I will be definetely coming back.

Lots of space but also cosy too, nice mix of places and friendly staff :) lots to read and a good mix. Music was nice and chilled! And had a few retro things around too.

Always a pleasure to return to La Cité. It's one of Florence's best kept secrets. The drink selection is great, the staff is always welcoming and you can hide away from the busy streets on the second floor comfy sofas.

Such a cool aesthetic. They had a great selection of teas and coffee. It's a great place to meet friends or chill on your own.

A perfect place for studying or reading or having a coffe with a friend or a drink (aperitivo). They have very diverse selection of drinks and all in good quality and reasonable prices. They have very nice snacks to serve with the drinks and also if you are hungry they have good options of ready food. The staff (everyone of them) is very friendly and helpful. They are usually polite with a smile and sensible to all their customers. Not to mention, the decoration and the lighting of the place makes you feel home immediately. Always recommended for every visitor of Firenze. Thank you La cite for the great great memories

It’s very hard to find third spaces to do work outside of your home. This place has delicious food and coffee, very cozy ambience, two levels with lots of seating and free wifi. It gets very busy so I’d come as soon as they open and don’t get discouraged if you don’t find a seat right away.

🫤 This place offers continental breakfasts. Unfortunately, the Italians do not fully understand what they are. There was scrambled eggs, but the cheapest "orange juice" from the market, salty piece of bread and a portion of cheap jam in a small plastic package. I didn't know whether to add the jam to...
