Had a terrible food experience at the plaza so we needed somewhere else to eat. Found this one and was not disappointed. High class service. Ordered baked salmon. Slightly over cooked but in all fine, with delicate yoghurt sauce. Dessert was a salt caramel cheese cake. Had a nice sweet wine to this. Recommended!

This was the best meal of our first week in Italy, by a long shot. All dishes in our three course meal were delicious, and the service and friendlyness of the staff were impeccable. Highly recommended!

Lorenzo was amazing! We learned a lot about the city and he was very knowledgeable about the food as well. Spoke perfect English. The dishes were delicious! We had the eggplant parmesan, proscuitto and burrata, capellaci and pappardelle. They had a baby chair for baby and we were able to eat outside with our family of 7. They have indoor dining options as well and were very accommodating. Highly recommend!

Had an absolutely fantastic dinner with my Fiancé there. The only regret was sharing a pasta between the two of us because it was SOO delicious!! Even though we were sharing 1 pasta, they still plated it on 2 dishes and made it look very nice. The steak was huge and perfect!

Truly one of the best meals we had during our trip to Florence (and Italy as a whole!). Beautiful and clean atmosphere with delicious food to match. My husband and I tried the Florentine steak and it was unmatched!! They truly take pride in their food from preparation and presentation. The service was wonderful which rounded out an all around great experience!! We would absolutely go again!

I very rarely feel compelled to leave a review but I was so deeply upset by our experience. My boyfriend had been wanting to try this place for ages and we finally managed to book a table with a group of friends intending to go for drinks. He spoke on the phone and booked a table for us and there was absolutely no mention of dinner or food only. We arrived at gilos albeit slightly late and we were welcomed in a friendly manner and apologized for being late. We asked for the drinks menu and they handed us a menu for food and drinks. As we were intending on having drinks and listening to music we had already had a small meal, so we weren’t hungry for a full meal. We explained this to the waiter and while we were talking about ordering a few bottles of wine and some appetizers the waiter turned completely sour, extremely patronizing and rude and told us we had to leave! Had we been told on the phone that it was dinner until a certain time we would’ve not have eaten before or we would’ve come later for drinks. But even if they did not communicate this prior, they could’ve nicely and politely told us that we had to eat. I have never been spoken to in that way by servers ever. I am most upset for my boyfriend who had been so excited to come and if upsets me that you ruined his experience, we would have liked to order some appetizers, drink wine and come back another day for dinner if we liked it. Someone from the restaurant called us on the phone after we were asked to leave to ask us about it and invite us back but we couldn’t because it was SUCH an awful awful experience and I felt sick for the rest of the evening. I’ve been served by waiters who have an unfortunate attitude before, but this was different, I have never felt more uncomfortable offended and hurt by such disgusting behavior from waitstaff. There’s no reason to talk to anyone the way we were spoken to! You need to do better guys, I hope you can take my feedback and whoever attends in the future has a better experience than we did.

Great meal at Gilo’ Creative menu. Good food. Friendly service. We ordered the house special eggplant parm, duck with pear, and berry pannacotta. A few drinks as well.

The ambiance inside Ristorante Gilò was a tasteful fusion of Art Nouveau, Art Deco, and contemporary Asian influences—classy, yet welcoming. The service was seamless and attentive; and our servers were the epitome of professionalism. They graciously walked our group through the menu and explained the preparation of the dishes. For a first course we shared the Burrata, it was simplicity perfected, with the richness of the cheese balanced by a very delicate and earthy shaved truffle. As a main course I ordered the Sausage and Asparagus Risotto, a harmony of robust and fresh flavors. The sausage meatballs were a surprising burst of flavor, and the risotto was the perfect texture. The dish was artistic and meticulously plated. The grand finale, a Panna Cotta with Fruit, was a visual sonnet. The striking splash of sauce brought an unexpected energy and drama to the dish, making it as thrilling to the eye as it was to the taste. The dessert was a fitting end to a meal that was nothing short of a masterpiece. Every dish at Ristorante Gilò was finished with an artist's touch—vivid, photo-worthy, and packed with flavors that danced delicately on the palate. This restaurant is a must-visit!

Like coming in to an oasis, away from the crowds, and it is just elegant, excellent pianoplayer, service, drinks, interior, everything was lovely! Dress up a bit before you come (no slippers) :)

If this isn’t amazing for a night hangout, idk what is. Well-cooked food, amazing design harking back to 1910 jazz vibe, attentive staff . Everything you like and don’t yet know you’ll love till you visit it. A hidden night gem.

Outstanding cocktails and desserts with an ambience that can't be beat and an attentive, helpful staff. A bit pricey, but well worth it. Try the truffle ice cream, you won't regret it, though you might need to share it.

Such a classy place, the staff is very charming and likeable. We had a few drinks at the bar and enjoyed the live piano, which was also top notch. They played instrumental soft rock mostly.

One of my favorite places for Aperitivo. A great stop even for Dinner you can enjoy seasonal dishes accompanied by cocktails - they make great Martinis and Negroni !

We came to this restaurant just wanting a quick bite but we were amazed by the food and we wanted more of the fine dining they offered, the staff are kind and are there for your service. They have great facilities and the quality of the restaurant building and food is amazing with air conditioning indoors for the hot days, the steaks were made Tuscan style with choices of Sirloin or the traditional but slightly pricey porterhouse, the tagliolini with black truffle was just perfect, the flavours just intertwined with eachother making a party in your taste buds with the flavour, we also got the risotto with asparagus and sausage which was also a very tasty product they also offered salmon, rabbit and beef wellington. The deserts were amazing, we got a broken down tiramisu in which when you combined what was served to you, your taste buds will work wonders again, the white chocolate mousse is very smooth and tasty. We only had to wait 7-15 mins to be served our orders, I would definitely come back there.

Fabulous! Ordered the pear and pecorino cheese cappellacci, recommended by the waiter, and was amazed. It was presented beautifully and tasted phenomenal. The wine, coffee, and dessert (cheesecake with berries) all tasted great, as well! The restaurant is stylish and the waiters are all very friendly and attentive. Located in a side street, away from the crowds. Would definitely recommend!!
